Established in 2002.

DRILL has been and continues to be contracted to build IKEA showrooms throughout the tri-​state area. John’s team has seen and built it all. From IKEA to other major brands such as Crate & Barrel, CB2, West Elm, Pottery Barn, and the Container store among others, they have experience in building all furniture and no job is too big (or small) for them. They’ve even been known to customize furniture on occasion.

John has been assembling furniture for over a decade. You’ve probably seen his work at some point somewhere such as an IKEA showroom, your friend’s house, or that office you just walked in to. As a person who lives and works in NYC (Brooklyn to be exact), he has a personal responsibility in providing the best service and results for all his clients, no matter how big or small. As such, Drill is fully insured, unlike much of the competition. The Drill team is a trusted group that flexes from 3 – 10 at any given time, all trained by John. When John is not working, he is cycling or spending time with his family.

Before arrival, I had received a very reasonable quote for assembly of a large armoire and installation of a floating shelf unit. Great communication, responsive and courteous.
The day of assembly: Chi and John called to find out if I was home, as they were running a bit early and showed up to my apartment… And then, magic!
Within an hour, the team had assembled my armoire, installed a floating shelf, broken down all of the boxes, taken out the garbage and delivered the recyclables to the basement.
We then toasted with Coquito.
For lack of a better cliché: the team goes above and beyond. They taped unsightly cords, cleaned with disinfectant wipes, chatted, swapped neighborhood stories and were that perfect combination of professional and amicable, friendly and fast.
The armoire is perfection. The rates are very reasonable. The quality of the installation is excellent and I am so happy they exist. I highly recommend Drill and look forward to having them assemble my furnishing, shelving or artwork in the future.

These guys are AMAZING. At nine months pregnant I moved to a new apartment and bought all new flat pack furniture. My husband and I were worried we might end up divorced if we tried to do it ourselves. I found Drill here on Unilocal,and they exceeded even the high expectations I had from their great reviews. They were friendly, professional and reasonably priced. The expertly assembled all my furniture and safely anchored it to the walls. They also anchored some other heavy, dangerous pieces of furniture I already owned very expertly. They were so kind to my weird little dog and even recommended a vet. They are a total find, and I’ll be using them again for sure!

Only superlatives to say about this company — I was able to schedule the assembly of a huge Ikea PAX system three days prior without problem. Sung scheduled and arrived with John almost right on time (called to say they would be 15 minutes late). Honestly, I thought maybe I could have put this thing together myself before it actually arrived in boxes the day before Drill came, but several people advised against and suggested getting a company to do it for us. Absolutely 100% the right way to have gone with this thing. It weighs in at 576 lbs, if that gives you any idea. We first tried a vendor on Craigslist who was too busy to take the job. He told us that he was very well qualified, but that Craigslist is not typically a good place to find a vendor to put together this type of furniture, so he recommended Drill to us.
The whole unit took Sung and John about 4 and ¼ hours to put together and they did it expertly! They were mindful of scratching the walls, floors, etc. They cleaned up afterwards for us, made us test everything before they left — I mean, really, it was a rare level of service. And just really nice guys. Fast forward to today and I gave them a call to see if they could loosen the anchoring to the wall so we could attach an extension cord to the outlet behind the unit. They more or less insisted that they come back and do it so that the job is done right — this includes leveling the unit, etc. A very minor adjustment, but nevertheless, extremely kind and generous to go out of their way to do.
These guys put it together AND they break it down if you ever find yourself having to move. They do all furniture to my knowledge, not just Ikea.

We had a great experience with
. We worked with William, who was prompt, professional, quick, and helpful. He put together a big cabinet in about an hour and also hung a shelf and a picture. We worked with Sung to coordinate the insurance certificate our coop requires. It took a little doing to get that worked out, but Sung stayed on top of it and provided prompt communication and top-​notch customer service throughout.

Love this company! They assembled my girls’ bunkbeds and disassembled their crib and twin bed. The women who came worked for 3 hours straight like a true professional. Then, just yesterday Jon the owner came to put up curtains and blinds. He too was amazingly professional and proficient and kind. Both times I used this company they honored our appointment and were right on time! I will use them again anytime! I highly recommend :-)

I am an interior designer and recently worked with Drill 4 You on two large-​scale office renovations. They were fast, reliable, super pleasant to work with and had the best pricing I could find.
Assembling furniture is no easy task, but these guys can assemble anything you put in front of them — probably with their eyes closed. They assembled over 50 desks, 80 chairs, conference room tables, lamps, bookshelves and so much more. I was overwhelmed with the amount of pieces we had to assemble in a period of 3 days. They hung dozens of mirrors, wall art and frames to perfection.
In addition to furniture assembly and hanging art, they also are professional kitchen installers. They do everything from measuring to cabinet installation — just not plumbing or electrical work.
I’ve worked with a lot of handymen and contractors and these guys are among the very best. I will hire them for all future work and highly recommend them to all my clients.

They got back to me in 2 hours with a reasonable quote. We set up an appointment for the next day. The person arriver on time and did a great job in a complicated assembly. i had a tight time frame and they were able to accommodate it. The assembler was professional, left me with a great desk and even cleaned up after. I would use Drill again whenever the need arises.

It is very rare that in this city, I think to myself «That was worth every penny.» Hiring Drill really was worth it, and personally I found their prices to be reasonable.
They were able to accommodate my last minute assembly request, which was great. They went above and beyond to do so, pulling someone who usually works on the business side of things to come help out. We bought the Brimnes bed and storage headboard, among other things, and while the person who was to assemble my bed had not actually assembled this particular piece before and had to call in a coworker for reinforcements, the end result was perfect.
Not only are the two dudes who came out to assemble our stuff super nice and professional, but they work hard and the work they produce is clearly quality. Certainly better than I or my wife could have done! FYI, they also do shades and such, which they also put up for us. I am asking them to come back when our couch comes, although i suspect that will be more of a challenge for them.
If you want some peace of mind and you want a job done right, I can’t recommend Drill more!

Highly recommend!!! I’ve reached out 5 or 6 different handy men to look for someone who can help me with furniture reassembly after my move in, and I believed Drill4You is the team that I’d like to hire.
I asked the team to come in at 10am on my move-​in date, but unfortunately my moving was being delayed that morning due to traffic, bad weather, etc. The technician (or the owner of Drill4You) was kindly willing to wait for me at the lobby for almost an hour and at the end of the day didn’t charge me any penny for his waiting time, which was so generous. When it comes to reassembly work, he was super fast and perfect. My mover broke one of my drawer, but he was willing to fix it himself.
Literally nothing to blame. Highly recommend again. I will recommend the team to all my friends who are planning to move in/​out.

There are some things you shouldn’t skimp on. Fresh produce. Medical care. and in this case, furniture assembly (I mean you don’t want your isht falling apart on you, right?). I first used Drill Pro Assembly over 2 years ago when I moved across the country from Seattle to Brooklyn. I did a whirlwind 3 day apartment move-​in, including several hours of item selection and delivery coordination at IKEA. I booked Drill to come out and assemble roughly 7 pieces of furniture, all of which was executed in about 2 – 2.5 hours. UNBELIEVABLE.
Fast forward to 2 years later and I’ve upgraded from my little studio to a true 1 bedroom apartment. Despite some nightmare-​ish problems with IKEA which has made me swear to never shop with them again, Drill was nothing short of a breath of fresh air. The guy who came out to assemble my stuff for me informed me that IKEA delivered a duplicate box on accident, therefore making him unable to assemble my gigantic 6 drawer MALM dresser (arguably the most critical piece of furniture I needed, OF COURSE!). However, he was nice enough to give me his mobile # and promised to return to finish the job once IKEA rectified the delivery issue.
What should’ve been about a week’s delay turned into almost an entire month (IKEA’s fault entirely), but I kept in touch with my assembly guy and he assured me he’d swing by whenever I finally got my missing box. Well, when it finally DID get delivered, I was able to book the return visit for assembly within a couple of days. The same guy showed up and very quickly went to work. He even asked me if I needed help with anything in addition to furniture asembly! In truth, I need lots of help with hanging things on walls and general nesting, but I didn’t want him to go out of his way.
In about an hour, he assembled my cursed dresser and cleaned up all of the recycling for me before leaving.
Although I’ve sworn off IKEA furniture, I’ll surely use Drill for small or large assembly jobs if I ever need help with either again! Best customer service ever.

I called Drill to get Ikea’s Pax wardrobe assambled and they did everything perfect! They scheduled me on the next day after my phone call and came exactly on time. The process took about 3 hours (my wardrobe is 92 H, 78 W, with 2 sliding doors). It was done very accurate and clean. The price was the most affordable I could find. Highly recommended service!

This is a great team and well worth the investment to get the job done right and quickly. Last week was the second time I’ve worked with this team, and the second great experience. One of the best things — on time! Not like the cable guy, this team communicates schedules really well.
It would have taken me days of effort and cursing and beer to accomplish what these guys did in 4 hours (3 large, complex pieces). They were considerate, clean and inventive every step of the way. They were thinking ahead (e.g. recognizing power outlets that would be blocked) and asking questions to make sure everything was just right. The team cut holes for cables, cleaned up dust and packaging, and explained positioning and build options.
I really like the value IKEA furniture brings — but the frustration of putting it together can be a barrier — Drill Professional knocks that barrier down and makes IKEA pieces a better value. They know the pieces, understand the sizes, have spare parts and take all the headache out of getting new furniture in place.
Will be back again and again.

Overall, these guys did a great job. They took the headache out of assembling my Ikea furniture — and they made it look easy! I had two dressers (one four-​drawer and one six-​drawer), a queen size bed, and a nightstand to assemble and it was all finished within a matter of three hours. The guys that came to my apartment were professional, knowledgable and hard working.
My only complaint was that they were an hour late. After waiting fifteen minutes, I had to call them and the person who answered the phone didn’t offer much of an explanation besides that they were coming from Queens and I live in New Jersey…

I found Drill on Unilocal and I’m back to write the review! Everything was professional from beginning to end. The quote was very reasonable and scheduling was easy and kept accurate. We had a huge IKEA besta wall unit and a dresser assembled. There would have been a divorce if I tried to assemble this with my husband. The besta unit is not perfectly level on top but we have very sloped floors so there was not much we could do. I would absolutely use this company again for any future assembly needs.

Honest and polite assembly team, easy to reach to schedule, good quality of work, Drill is totally worthy of 5 star!
We bought furniture from IKEA for our empty apartment and it was way too big a job for me and my husband to assemble them all by ourselves.
So I contacted Drill and decided to try their service based on their quote and quick response on scheduling the date (good sign already).
On the day, a team of two guys arrived a little bit late, but I received a call from John right around the scheduled time, and let me know that they are a bit late but on their way, it was no problem at all, but I thought it was very professional to let us know that they are running late (even a little bit).
The assembly team was nice and polite.
Fast forward 2.5 hours, they finished everything (Sofa, 6 chairs, TV unit and many more), all in good standard (no loose hinges etc.)!
I was particularly impressed that they caught that we got a dining table in the different colour to chairs by mistake.
They could’ve easily just assemble everything blindly and get paid, then leave the mistakes up to us, but instead, they asked if this was intentional and offered to come back to finish the job when we get a replacement!
When we finally got the right table a couple weeks later, John came to assemble. We asked him to do a couple of more jobs in addition to the table. Another impressive thing happened, when he had to stand on the sofa (to hang the mirror), he took off his jacket and covered the sofa so that he is not standing on our sofa directly (shoes were off way before this point), and he even said «excuse me for standing on your sofa»! I was well impressed with his politeness and professional manners.
Long review, but I thoroughly recommend Drill if you need IKEA assembly help or handyman service.

I recently hired Drill Professional Furniture Assembly to build my massive 79″ Ikea PAX wardrobe and everything was PERFECT, from start to end.
First, I MUST give them props for this telephone convo:
*Day after making a massive Ikea purchase, with the help of an «Ikea Pax Expert”*
Me: Hi, I’d like to request a rate for building an Ikea PAX
Drill: No prob! Can you let me know what you have?
Me: I have these doors for this frame, etc; etc; etc;
Drill: Hmm… are you positive? Because that frame cannot hold that door… I think Ikea may have made a mistake.
Me: #*%$)%&$*! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thus causing me to rush after work on a Monday to the Hicksville, LI Ikea to fix this issue. I digress. Thank you Drill for setting me on the right path, literally ASAP! I knew that once I received the right parts, I would without a doubt hire them for assembly given their clear knowledge of PAX products.
Onto the actual assembly: a few quick emails back and forth and they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday! The quoted rate was super reasonable given the amount of work involved, and they completed everything lightning fast (within 2 hours). They even re-​did a portion of the inside compartment after my fiancé changed his mind about how he wanted it to look! After assembly, they promptly removed all the boxes and the place (and specifically, the wardrobe!) looked great.
We have been using the wardrobe for a few months now and we love it! Thanks so much, Drill!
