I am not a well person. I have been to a lot of doctors. Dr Maravel is among the best I have ever seen. He spends real time with you and he does what it takes to see your problem through. He doesn’t just hand you a drug and if it doesn’t help shrug his shoulders and say good bye. He is caring and though an understated man he just seems a little more intelegent than most. The people who go to see him are very dedicated and feel that he is their little secret.

As a patient of Dr. Maravel’s since he began practice – call it 30 years – I recommend him completely. He listens, he tests, he diagnoses, and recommends and treats. Dr. Maravel will not hesitate to move a patient to a specialist if needed but can ably treat all the ailments a family doctor routinely comes across. I find Dr. Maravel easy to talk to. He is not the least overbearing, actually he is rather reticent and businesslike, but can warm up in conversation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Paul Maravel’s for over 20 years. I trust him literally with my life. He was instrumental with saving my sister’s life. She went to him for her yearly check up and after he finished with her yearly exam he asked her if there was anything else. She in turn explained that she was experiencing itchy/​red palms. He diagnosed her with Primary biliary cirrhosis. What the heck is that you say? I never even heard of that disease. She found a wonderful specialist in Manhattan and voile, she was saved from becoming terminal. I have recommended Dr. Maravel to all my friends and family and now they all love him as I do.

It’s almost impossible to find a good internist — general practitioner nowadays.
Dr. Maravel is good/​trustworthy. Low key/​calm — smart — good clinician. He’s not too conservative but he’s not one of these guys who rushes into anything either. He really listens to you. A rare find.
Very modest demeanor, but «still waters run deep» — don’t be fooled; he’s VERY good at what he does.
