Theres good Spanish(American) food, and REAL Spanish food. I was running some errands in a warehouse district in brooklyn when i felt a grumble in my stomach. I drove past a lunch truck and a little restaurant on the corner. I decide to go to Diaz Restaurant. Once i walked in there was a few older guys watching tv, i workers chatting and it smelled so damn good. I looked at the menu and picked out the goat stew, the owner told me to get the roast pig instead since it was a special. BOY oh BOY, i wish i have taken a picture. For $ 5 bucks i got a HUGE plate of spanish rice with beans and a mountain of roast pork with a piece of the oh soooo crunchy skin. I ate and ate while still amazed at how good it taste. I also got some empenadas which were ok. My bill for two with a drink was only 14 bucks! I’ve paid 14 bucks for not so tasty appetizers in the city. Now i wouldn’t come here without a car, and it might be a little scary… but once your inside, consider yourself Home! I’m going back next week with my friends! I give them a solid 5 stars because the food is so good it compensates for the location, and décor!
