Fraudulent incompetent liars. I ordered glasses with a written concern in the order. Never heard from anyone. Calls to customer service went no where. They had no idea. I cancelled the order after 2 weeks due lack of any input. I was told in an email that my credit card would not be charged until the order shipped. Right… Of course they charged my credit card as soon as they took the order. This is a criminal enterprise. Stay away.

I ordered a pair of Burberry sunglasses about 2 weeks ago. I received the confirmation email right after ordering (same day), and the next day the tracking number. I received my sunglasses 7 days later and didn’t even pay the expedition fee. The glasses are beautiful!!! I come here to write a review on them and now see all of these negative ones make me a bit skeptical to reorder though. I just hope that if I do reorder, they will not hit me with the «not in stock» issue.

Man this place sucks! I ordered a pair of glasses online then the next week I call to find out the status of my order and the woman says that it should be shipping the next day. Cool so I’m excited because I paid for 2 day shipping! The 2^nd day comes still no glasses at my door! I call to check the status of my order and the same woman states that now my frames are on back order! How the fuck do you go from ready to ship to being on back order?! That means she lied in the first place! Never dealing with these clowns again! I’d rather not deal with a company that’s going to lie to me about when my purchases are being shipped. I wish I could give them negative stars!

negative 1mil stars!!! this business is ridiculous!!! never never never never again will i purchase from them!!! i made a purchase for some versace frames back on 12÷16÷15. it was suppose to be a christmas gift. i emailed and called several times. ive gotten emails saying its backordered. todays date is 2÷2÷2016. 2 freaking months and i still havent received my order. this is outragous!!! i do not know how this company is still in business. i will be reporting them to the better business bureau. im warning everyone out there do not buy anything from them unless you just want to give your money away. i dont even know how they have any stars on here. they are the worse!!!

The straight-​up dishonesty of this place is astonishing. Do not shop here unless you like stores that try to steal your money and lie to your credit card company to do it. Why such strong words, you ask? I ordered sunglasses in November 2015, they were too small, so I returned them (at my own cost, mind you, they don’t pay for returns), was told the larger frames were backordered for a month, and opted to wait for the backorder to come in while Designer Optics held onto my $ 217. A month later, no glasses, so I send an email inquiring… no answer so I send a second email… still no response so I dispute the charge with my credit card. A full week later the store responds with a cursory, «still on backorder,» and they falsely tell the credit card company that I never returned the glasses so I’m not entitled to a credit of my money. This, despite a UPS confirmation showing delivery of the returned glasses and an email from Joel Mandel of the store confirming receipt of the glasses on November 30. Two months later and the store is still holding onto my money after receiving their glasses back ages ago.

«I have ordered quite a few pairs of glasses from this company. The problems started when I ordered a Tag Heuer fram with no rx lenses. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I finally called. Every time I called I was on hold for at least 10 minutes. I was told, oh sorry those are on backorder, they should ship out in another week or so. Really? You never notified me in two weeks of what is going on with the order? I had also ordered a pair of Nike rx sunglasses, again after two weeks I was told after I called.“sorry, we will need another $ 160 to put the lenses in». Really? and you couldn’t have contacted me earlier than this and told me? Disgusting”

Writing this as my order is in limbo right now. I didn’t really want to write this review and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like the only way to get an actual, non-​canned answer is to publicly call them out.
My order has been processing for 2 weeks now — I understand they’re prescription, and that may add time (not sure why they would make a difference though, as companies like Warby Parker or FramesDirect can get them processed and shipped within that timeframe).
I’ve sent several e-​mails asking about the status of my order, as on the site it’s just «Processing». I was told they should be done in a few days and that I’d get an e-​mail stating that the order was shipped. Waited another few days past the time frame andddd nada.
Honestly I was just hoping for some kind of status update or the bad news of them telling me that my glasses were out of stock (I checked for that before I ordered since this seems to be an issue), but both correspondences I sent out had the same response of
«We are sorry for the delay.
You’re order is at the final stages of the prescription.
Once it has shipped out you will receive an email with the tracking information.»
And radio silence when I asked what the order status actually was and if I could get a more specific answer…
The best part is that the charge your credit card instantly… Don’t bother paying for any sort of expedited shipping. I paid for priority and I’m pretty sure I’m getting my international shipments before I get an actual response from the company.
I’m going to give it a week or two before disputing the charge (you can’t tell me it takes a month to make a pair of glasses.), but +1 star for at least responding via e-​mail and FB message.

Bought a pair of Versace eyeglass frames at 50+% savings over my eye doctor’s price. Got them fast and well packaged. Will certainly buy from Designer Optics again and highly recommend this business to my friends and family.

Beware, I placed an order on Dec 29^th and the order status still says processing, more than 2 weeks later. I tried to call costumer support twice and couldn’t reach anyone after being on hold for 20 mins both times. I also have sent their costumer support an email which I haven’t heard back from. I’ll happily update this review if I can get a hold of someone or get my order refunded.
*Update* Two hours after posting this review, I receive an email that my prescription sunglasses have shipped.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses through here during the holidays. Shipping took a little longer than expected but I did order them right before Christmas and I did not pay for fast shipping. I never reached anyone by phone but they were very good about answering my emails. First I asked about my order when not received when I expected and then after I received them about returns because sadly I just wasn’t happy with my purchase. The sunglasses I ordered weren’t quite what I thought they would be, unfortunately you can’t try them on first when ordering online! ;) At this point I followed the instructions via email for return, also took pics of them to ensure they were not worn or damaged and sent them the tracking number. They should receive them January 19^th, I’ll update my review when I get my full refund!

Well, I’ve never been one to write a bad review but I guess there is always a first time. I wish i could give this place zero stars! I can’t say that they have poor customer service becaue they have NO customer service. I received a pair of Prada sunglasses as a gift for Christmas and they weren’t the ones I wanted or they had possibly shipped the wrong pair. Either way I wanted to exchange them for the pair I wanted. I have tried calling their customer service line dozens of times only for it to go to a voicemail… I left a message… no call back. I’ve sent them two emails, one through their website and one from my personal email over a week ago and no response. I tried doing a return authorization through their website… it wouldn’t go thru. Kept getting an error message. I even tried calling their storefront and was sent to a voicemail. I’m not sure how you resolve issues with this company other than not to order from them at all. I am now stuck with a pair of sunglasses that I don’t want but I guess I have to keep. They were cheaper than in a retail store and are nice but that’s not the point… I should be able to tallk to someone to get some sort of resolution.
If you want to buy from a company with absolutely zero customer service this is the company for you!

I ordered my frames on Decemeber 20^th and PAID FOR EXPRESS 2 SHIPPING. It is now Decemeber 30^th and I have yet to receive them. I sent these a**holes 2 emails and called every dam day this week and no response. Now you can surely understand why I’m so upset. I called my bank to cancel the payment and they told me the payment was dropped by the merchant today lol. Still confused on why this happened. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Save yourself the headache.

This is my second experience with this company because the first was so good.
The first time I bought a pair of the brand new rounded Ray Ban style that all the normal stores (Sunglasses Hut, etc) were pushing for over $ 180. I paid less than $ 115 and the glasses arrived on my doorstep 2 days later via their FREE shipping option.
Their company I guess is in Brooklyn, and I’m in CT, so the order didn’t take more than a couple days to get to me.
This time around I wanted something a little higher end, so I ordered a pair of folding Persols along with another pair of Raybans. I ordered after 5PM ET and received an email at 7AM the following morning that my items had shipped. 2 days later and I had a pair of brand new Raybans and Persols with boxes, papers, etc for over 50% lower than I would have paid in the store!!!
I know some users are complaining about out of stock items (which I’ve yet to experience), but my experience with this company 2 TIMES has been positively STELLAR! Big thanks to Designer Optics, I’ll continue to come back here for glasses.

First off, I felt a bit skeptical considering other reviews I read on here, After, I purchased my glasses. I was weary, but kept faith. And 7 days later they came by UPS, remember, I ordered 2 days or so before Christmas, so their shipping time is unbeatable.
I received my Chloé glasses today in a carefully packaged boxe. The glasses came with a Certificate of Authenticity, along with a care cloth. The paneling on the logos, CHLOÉ, we’re embossed and I know for a fact that these ARE authentic, and very well made.
I am very impressed with your shipping speed, your attention to customers, your service and most certainly your unbeatable pricing on such lavish frames. Very satisfied consumer here, tgank you, DesignerOptics™ I cannot possibly review you or recommend anything higher, incredible service, and very much appreciated. I will most definitely be coming back when I purchase sunglasses in early Spring time.

I ordered a pair of Ray-​bans at a really great, sale price for my husband’s Christmas gift on December 2. The USPS tracking number says it was picked up on December 3^rd, however it never left New Jersey.
After a few days of no tracking progress, I begin emailing Designer Optics, receiving no replies. A couple weeks later, I phone Designer Optics, twice, and was dropped both times, after waiting for a total of 1.5 hours. The hold message says, «Press #, leave a message, and they will call you back… the pressing of the # accomplishes nothing; you cannot leave a message.
A few days ago, I finally get an email, saying they would look into it, then nothing.
This morning my cell rings at 6:30 A.M., the message is almost inaudible, but I make out the words Designer Optics. I call back, and do get a person. To sum it up, she will ship out another pair, and suggested 2 day air. I agree. I think great…
NO! NOT SO GREAT! She is going to charge me for 2 day air. I say no thanks. She said she could do so for $ 10. Alright, I bite. After she obtains my credit card number, she tells me the grand total, it includes the price of the glasses… AGAIN!
The rep assured me there was no issue, because if the first order ever showed up, I could return them for a refund. So, am I supposed to pay twice for something I may never receive???
Ended that conversation quick, with the direction, «DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD FOR ANYTHING, EVER.» Luckily my first order is covered through PayPal, it will just take awhile to process my refund.

I was looking for the perfect gift for my husband birthday and i found it here at an amazing price I order on line and the shipping was super fast also the price was the lowest than I can find … I would love to buy again from this page!!!

So I’ll start this review by saying that I have never wrote a online review for any purchase, restaurant I’ve visited, etc but my experience with this company has been so bad so far that I feel compelled to do people a «service» here and warm them of what’s to come.
So to start, I placed an order on some glasses on 11÷27÷15. I went on their website and nothing on the website stated any information about their inventory on the item. They were available to add to your cart, so like any other website this would mean that it’s in stock, correct? Wrong!
I wait a few days expecting a shipment confirmation email but I never got one. So I begin to look deeper into these Unilocal reviews which I never did (mistake on my part) and I begin to see negative reviews regarding long processing/​shipping times so I give them a call on 11÷30÷15 so I can confirm availability on the glasses. After waiting on hold for about 20 minutes I finally get through and I ask the service rep if they have them in stock, she tells me they’re in stock and that it typically takes 2 – 3 business days to process so they will ship by Wednesday (12÷2÷15), so I figured, okay, I need these by Christmas, I have plenty of time, I can wait, but I was wrong again!
Fast forward to the following Friday (12÷4÷15), I never received any shipment conformation and my order status is still under «processing». So I give them another call to see what’s going on. I am greeted by the same woman, she gets my order number puts me on hold and when she returns she tells me that the glasses are not in Stock and that there will be a delay because they’re coming from the manufacturer in Asia. I got really disappointed when she told me this but I was more upset that I was even in this position had this company had a system in place that kept track of their physical inventory and prevented people from ordering something they didn’t even have available. So I Expressed my concerns about needing these as soon as possible and she assured me I would still be able to get them before Christmas.
Fast forward to 12÷7÷15. Ten days after placing the order I barely receive an email stating that the glasses are not available and that they are coming from Italy (the glasses aren’t even made in Italy!). It states that there will be a 10 – 12 day delay and topped with the 7 day free shipping they provide it all but confirms that I wasted time and money with this company since I will not be receiving these glasses for Christmas. Most people write negative reviews out of anger but I consider this review a public service announcement! The other negative reviews are legit!
In summary
–Don’t bother calling for availability (they will say they’re in Stock even if they have no idea if they are or not).
–Don’t order if you need them right away.
–Don’t bother paying for express shipping.
–Figuring out their stock is gamble. If they ship right away they were in stock. If there’s a long delay, they weren’t in stock.
–This company might save you a few bucks but I guess this is the compromise of saving money.
I don’t think I will get my glasses before Christmas and I intend to cancel my order the week of, but I will update this review with whatever outcome that comes from this.

Scammers! take your business elsewhere. They are horrible. It has been a nightmare with these people for the past 3 months. I am now out of my money and the sunglasses I originally purchased. I told a friend of mine about what had happened, and she said that she had also purchased a pair of sunglasses from them, and she had to open up a case with paypal because they were fake and the seller refused to refund… AVOID

I just ordered Versace sunglasses which I never have online I am the person who can only wear designer glasses and always gets the best. But I tried these on at Macy’s it was between two pairs I decided to go with the other now I wanted the Versace and looked online. Well I took a chance and so glad I did I would never buy anywhere else and pay full price 280 dollar sunglasses for $ 145. It took a week to get no problems and comes with all the papers. I am so happy and can’t Believe I ever paid full price all these years.

(TLDR: If you’re looking for extremely competitive pricing on quality sunglasses, I highly recommend this place. I received mine within 10 days of ordering with basic shipping.)
I was skeptical about this site but decided to order glasses anyway since PayPal was an option. For a pair of Versace sunglasses at Sunglass Hut, even with a big $ 50 off coupon, the price was HALF that on
. Therefore, I ordered two pairs of sunglasses (Versace and Coach) for the price I would have originally paid for a single pair at Sunglass Hut. This only fuels my distrust for many stores that offer coupons. They mark up their merchandise and then try to make you feel like you’re getting a deal by offering a coupon. Baloney. This site? Just competitive pricing. That’s what I’m looking for.
I opted for the free shipping as I wasn’t in a hurry to receive my order. I ordered by both pairs on Aug 5, and received tracking information for the first pair (Coach) on Aug 7. On August 10^th, I received an email update from the company apologizing for the delay of the second pair (Versace) which was being shipped directly from Italy. Totally fine, and I’m very happy they reached out to me with an update. The delayed Versace pair was actually processed with faster shipping to make up for the delay – awesome customer service – and they arrived on Aug 13, before the Coach pair. That pair I received on Aug 15. In all, it was 10 days from order to receipt even with a delay. For free shipping, that’s excellent.
It looks like not everyone had a similar experience from looking at past reviews, but it’s good to see they are listening to customer feedback and improving the very things being complained about. That being said, I think they have room to improve inventory tracking. It would be nice to see a notice of delay listed on the item page. Since they work with multiple suppliers, being able to implement an up-​to-​date inventory system may not be possible (or if so, too expensive). This is probably why they’re able to provide such competitive pricing.
Both sunglasses were in pristine packaging, and the Versace pair even came with a code on the warranty booklet to verify authenticity. Very pleased. Would buy again.
