The place is clean. A bit narrow. But, I don’t go for the ambiance. My clothes come out washed and dried. I’m not sure why people complain about the guys that work there. They are super nice. And very helpful. I’ll be sad to find a new laundry spot when I move.

Great place if you want to be barked at like a misbehaving animal if you’re there five minutes prior to closing!
Make sure you pay close attention to that CLOSED sign on the door since they close early and don’t have the courtesy of advising customers when the last load is for the night.
The self-​service space is narrow and cramped and the washing machines are slower than they indicate.
Can’t speak for drop-​off service but can’t imagine it’s any more pleasant.
Taking my business elsewhere in the neighborhood.

It’s a laundromat. How exciting of a review can I write?
I dropped off my laundry here once. Clothes were nice and clean, nothing was missing, although I did receive 2 pillowcases that weren’t mine (I needed them anyways). I did laundry here last week and it was way better than using Coinmach machines in my old apartment building. It was clean, there was nobody else there, generally uneventful. But. They have a TV that plays ghastly overdramatic Lifetime shows at an extremely high volume. Somewhat anxiety inducing.

Horrible over the phone. Simple things seem very complicated to them.
Why is Unilocal telling me this review is short? Do I need to provide a dissertation? It’s simple– they were very unprofessional over the phone and not worth the drive.

Prices are decent. I just picked up some clothes — a sweater, dress, intricate top, and a blazer — and paid $ 25 for the bunch. But while stains are gone, all my clothes do not smell fresh and clean. I think I’ll be looking for somewhere else to take my business.

I use the self-​service here, which is pretty amazing.
Yes, like all the other self-​service places along Washington and Underhill, it closes at 7pm, which is annoying to those of us with day jobs. However, the facilities are always remarkably clean (I would eat off of those folding tables, no joke.) and never very crowded. Washers and dryers are both on the newer side. All the machines are in good working order, and the woman who works here is super friendly.
The change machine here can be super finicky. Bring your crispest bills.
If this place stayed open until 8 pm, I bet they’d make an insane amount of money.
Please note: only open until 5 PM on Sundays!

I’m pretty sure that they don’t actually clean my clothes.
While I realize that it’s difficult to find a good dry cleaners, twice now I’ve gotten back pieces of clothing with stains still on them.

A solid dry cleaner. Like most of the service shops in Prospect Heights, I am 78% certain that the proprietor hates me, but he always plays me straight. I drop off a dress; he grunts and accepts; I ask when the dress will be clean; the proprietor says, «When you want?»; I say in two days; the proprietor laughs at me and shoos me out. OK, I guess that means I’ll come back next week.
That said, the dry cleaning is good, the prices are acceptable, and the guys here are always good about providing (gruff) tips on how to fix buttons, who fixes shoes the best, and where to borrow an electric drill.

well i guess you have to expect this if you use drop off service but they lost a handful of my stuff, and when i asked them about it they said that it was impossible… but yes, it’s possible and you lost my stuff. no apology or refund at all, just denial.
usually very nice but inspired me to start doing my own laundry again…

I’ve been taking my laundry, dry cleaning and tailoring here for about three years now. Friendly, fast service with the occasional mishap (getting a bunch of someone else’s socks and t-​shirts, a shrunken beyond repair sweater – my fault for not hand washing it). I suspect there is little consistency in how they weigh the laundry, since many times my estimations have been way way off (both in and not in my favor)

Bonsoir mon cherie! is how I am greeted every time I come to drop of my dry cleaning! The best laundry mat in Prospect Heights… seriously please support my Hatian Peeps! They are really friendly, and do a great job with the dry cleaning. Their rates, are as good as bubble works, which is actually right down the street.
Another good plus about them, is that they also do tailoring… so if you need like a zipper fixed, or whatever it maybe, they will get it done for you. Yay DAWN!
