History

Established in 1940.

The Brisket, Pastrami, Corned Beef at David’s is fantastic as tender as any of Manhattan’s long-standing aspirants. Owner Sindbad & Sons. Took over the business from Mas family in mid September 2008. as new owners we had same meat company same precipice same way of curing meat process was still there. The customers not convinced when they see new faces. That’s when we went to higher quality grade of meat. cost a little more but we needed to win the customers back. We’re from the people for the people. Mas took his place behind the meat slicer in 1988, taking over for his father who, he says, purchased the deli from the Zoli’s family in 1970. it was called Zoli’s in the 1940 till 1970. the Mas family changed the name to David’s Brisket House. He ran a tight ship, entrusting the meat’s preparation only to those who have spent a minimum of six months under his careful tutelage. he says. «My biggest challenge is keeping things consistent.

Hi. i am a Yemeni Muslim born and raised in Brooklyn. I’m a Corned Beef lover. I remember when i was a child about the age of 3 my mom took me to a Kosher Jewish deli on court street between state st & Atlantic ave in Brooklyn heights. i never tasted any thing like that not even in Manhattan. till my nephew worked in David’s brisket house. he brought me home some corned beef a was hooked. it was my dream come true to buy David’s Brisket House. i love making people smile. in this businesses every body smiles when we give them a taste of our flavor. love boxing, martial art, exercising. married for over 33 years i have lovely wife & 4 lovely children, 5 lovely grand children & still live in Brooklyn
