CVS Pharmacy

50 – 50 here.
Sometimes you come and they have just fully restocked their shelves and you can walk in to buy one thing and leave with a bag full of things you did not plan on buying.
Other times, the shelves are half empty and it becomes a struggle to find anything. If you are lucky, there will be one item, of whatever you were looking for, left.
I experienced both experiences but at the end of the shopping trip, I was able to leave with what I came in looking for.

This place needs help and more workers

Friendly helpful staff. Good sales and love the reward points. They carry alot of items my family uses.

Where to begin first the long wait time no matter when you go. Second its probably the smallest cvs and everything is either sold out or open. The boxes are all open or flat. The shampoo all over the shelfs. Never know if your buying is used or not. Probably has about hundred violations

This cvs gets on my nervous…
pharmacy… like other pharmacies like Rite-Aid…Walgreens… etc… but i much rather go to the other pharmacy then this cvs… rude…disoraginzed…and really i have to walk all the way to the basement to find daily needs… two floors frist and basement… they have other things too… like candy… magazines… snacks and some crapy little gadgets like glade plugins and such…
This area is extremely hard to find parking… expically on the weekend…

Horrible customer service. The workers don’t know anything. When I ask a worker a question, she always has to ask the manager just to give me an answer. They are also very disorganized and rude. Their photo center never works.

This is the worst CVS I have ever been to. It doesn’t have its own parking lot so you have to find street parking on 86^th, the mecca of double parking, and you’re almost guaranteed to have to feed meters. Secondly, the inside is pretty cluttered and disorganized.
There are two levels and no escalators/​elevators– only stairs. The bottom floor carries the heavier items such as cleaning fluids and bath products which can get pretty heavy. They actually have a few carts on the lower level, but it isn’t going to help when you need to pay upstairs. It really makes no sense to me.
I tried to fulfill a prescription for Claritin-​D and they needed to scan my ID as per state mandates. Their computer took several minutes to register the information only to deny the request. My mom then offered her ID and the same thing happened. We were stuck with our congestion, but the lady had given us a rain check. When we brought it to the same CVS a few days later, they informed us that rain checks were not even allowed to be distributed for that medication.
We ended up having to drive a few miles to another CVS which was more spacious and didn’t feel so claustrophobic.

Dirty place that always has empty shelves or boxes of products on the ground. There is a line usually when I’m there which adds to the troubles. Printed pictures and there was no one working down stairs so I had to go up ans get someone to help me. Not a great showing for CVS

This dump is the absolute nadir of the CVS empire in the tristate area at the very least. What a frustrating experience to navigate. It’s inconvenient enough that it’s on two levels. But does nearly every aisle have to be clogged with inventory awaiting shelving every single day of the week? Today it obscured the very items that I came in for, so I had to push the pallet of crap about six feet further down the aisle, truly a workout. Hopefully by creating this location and expressing my dismal view of this filthy mismanaged enterprise I can shame the powers that be into some corrective action. I will be taking all future business in the meantime to the local Rite Aid. It’s not much better, but at least everything is on one floor and it is somewhat better managed.
This CVS never seems to have more than four employees and three are in the pharmacy section.
What a joke of a business foisted upon the community. We don’t have to silentlly put up with such a shabby business. But people keep going because it’s close to home.
Bottom Line: This store is an absolute disgrace.

This CVS is probably the worst I’ve ever been to. As mentioned by other Unilocalers, it’s crowded here. The aisles are way too close to each other and the selection of things they carry is mediocre. I think they recently had a renovation and the store looks a bit better, but so many things still annoy me about this CVS. For example, in the beauty section in the lower level, much of the makeup has already been opened. I wonder how often they clear out products that have been tampered with. Management at this CVS definitely needs to change.

This review is for the sole purpose of reporting a terrible customer service experience I’ve had there. Take this as a warning for anyone making a return at this CVS:
I purchased 2 Nutregeno lotions during a buy one get one 50% deal. One was an oil free SPF lotion, one was a regular daily moisturizer. I returned the daily moisturizer the weekend after, once I realized it wasn’t oil free. I eventually discovered I could get the same product for cheaper, even after the discount, at Nordstrom Rack in Union Sq, so the next weekend I went back to return the oil free SPF lotion.
I got the owner lady, so I guess it explains why she was so difficult. She refused to let me return the product because the item doesn’t match the receipt. That was when I realized that when I made my purchase, the cashier had rung up the regular daily moisturizer twice. (I’ve seen lots of cashiers do this during those buy-one-get-one-50%-off sales, just because it’s faster. But that usually happens at grocery stores when you’re buying 20 packs of ramen and 10 bags of Chips Ahoy. It’s fine to ring up using the same product if all the items are identical.) I didn’t notice this at CVS when I made the purchase, so I told the cashier that they (as in you, CVS on 86 st) must have made an error when they rung it up. She didn’t look like she wanted to believe me, and she just kept yelling at me that this isn’t the same thing. Lady, that’s not going to change what actually happened, so I just kept reiterating that they must have made a mistake at the purchase. At one point her daughter, working at the cashier next to her, tried to help but she just shooed her away.
She finally let me make the return. The receipt reads $ 16 for one lotion, and $ 10 for the other one, for a total of $ 26. When I made my first return, I got back $ 13. This is to prevent people from returning one item at full price and keeping their other item at 50% off. So this time, I should have received the $ 13. Instead, she only gave me $ 8. I don’t know where this arbitrary number came from, but either give me the full return or just give me store credit. Don’t be a sleaze ball, refund me a random amount, and NOT TELL ME ABOUT IT. I was already out of the store when I realized the math didn’t add up, but I knew she wasn’t going to do anything for me, so I decided to cut my losses and leave.
Now I’ll know better, and hopefully you will too. Management here is terrible. This definitely would not have happened in a CVS in Manhattan.

The people are super nice. But the place is too small for its turn-​around. Stuff in the isles makes it really hard to get around– wouldnt be such a big deal except those women strolling around with the shopping carts never bother to care that they are not the only people in the place. Also– this was at christmas time so the isle issues may be resolved now.
5 star staff services– 2 star ease of shopping

It is too small of a store, and has crowded isles.
There not much variety in products for sale, and are missing many ‘common’ brands.
There is always a long line, and they have verrrry slow cashiers.
