Our dog Opie just finished with Kim and we have seen an enormous improvement from the days he ran a muck. She taught him to be a well mannered dog but more importantly taught us the necessary skills in becoming confident leaders. Opie now respects us and listens on command, something we never thought we’d see. Kim is genuine, dedicated and her passion for dogs shines through to her business acumen. I highly recommend her training courses to anyone in need.

We accidentally on purpose went to «take a looksie» at puppies one fine day on June 7^th and came home with our little baby girl — Sasha. Being that Sasha is our first pup, let’s be honest — we were sooooo not prepared for a baby (yes, having a puppy is like having a baby). Kim came highly recommended by our Vet’s office and reading all the amazing reviews just confirmed that «may be it’s a good idea to see someone.»
After having a couple of sleepless nights, we’ve come to a realization — Sasha needs training!!! Meeting Kim seemed like the greatest solution! Our baby has now completed her 8-​week course and I am happy to report — the best money we ever spent. Not only is Sasha on her way to becoming the «good little girl» every (pet) parent wants — yes, training is an ongoing process requiring continued effort even way past the actual class — she is also becoming a well socialized, kind, adoring puppy. She’s even making friends in puppy kindergarten (not counting her dislike for sharing squeaky toys). And we made a new friend! :) thank you Kim for showing us where to start and for continued guidance on the road to obedience.

Long live Kim! I brought my chihuahua pup over the summer in my bicycle basket for training and loved every minute of training. She doesn’t only train the dog — she teaches how to interact, play, tone of voice, what to feed them and DYI treats. I say the whole 9 yards! I haven’t been to any other dog trainers but why would I? I’m very happy with the results as my puppy till this day obeys commands she learned there and is lively and sweet. If I ever get another I will definitely use Kim again.

My dog has an ear infection after 2 days of taking my dog to this place. Not taking him here again.

Found Kim’s training services through a few friends. Though she came highly recommended — the Unilocal reviews clearly didn’t hurt. Kim was amazing, through and through.
When we came to Kim, we had just adopted a 10 week old hound mix. Needless to say, our puppy was insane. From everything we heard, training was not a question — it was a necessity.
Every session we spent with Kim was thorough, successful and insightful. The commands our dog learned remain with her until today and we can’t be more thankful. Her strategies even helped us teach our dog relatively any (reasonable) trick we could come up with.
On top of the training program, Kim threw in (what seemed like) an endless number of «puppy kindergarten» sessions. This helped our puppy socialize and become accustomed to dogs of all sizes and natures. Truly a huge benefit to our pup.
Kim ensured that she befriended the dogs, as well as their owners. She’s a great person and a knowledgeable and I highly recommend her services!

Kim is amazing, she has nothing but love and compassion towards your best friend. Kim not only trains your dog, but trains you as well making both you and your pet confident in each other. The exercise will bring confidence, trust and respect between you and your buddy. I am looking forward to continue advance training, I know my buddy can do it. Kim also has great experience and advise on any issues at home. My family I are very thankful.
As far as the bad review by noly j. Don’t let this hinder your choice. Everyone else gave excellent reviews. This just sounds like a disgruntled employee. Kim does not boast or in way deceive you into thinking she is the best and only trainer in the world. If I had a picture of me a Cesar millan, I would hang that up on the wall too. Doesn’t mean I trained with the guy. And it is not crazy to believe she has been training with dogs since she was four. We each have trained some skill with our loved ones at a young age.
Anyway you can’t go wrong awesome place no doubt about it.

Our dog just graduated with Kim and it’s amazing the improvement. We went to her when he was 2 ½ months and showed a lot of aggression. She showed us how to handle it as well as training him. He knows how to sit, down/​stay down, go to his place and now heel. Her puppy kindergarten is also so helpful– she assured everyone that he is well behaved and well mannered dog even at 50 lbs as there were a few concerned owners.
She works with our schedule and is just a really nice person. We are beyond happy that we found her. We highly suggest bringing all types of dogs to Kim.

WOOW Kim is amazing-​. She listens and cares about the dog and family living. We’ve tried other dog trainers (EMPIRE OF DOGS) and she is by far the best.
She will not give up on your dog, and you’ll see very quickly a huge change at you pet !

Kimberly is the best dog trainer out there!
My boyfriend and I spontaneously adopted a puppy named Gabby from the Humane Society, and before we knew it… we hadn’t slept for 2 nights in a row stressing over our new pup and how to handle her.
Gabby was the typical puppy, not potty trained… untrained (we thought she was «disobedient»)…teething… We ALMOST brought her back to the shelter. As a last resort, I called up Kimberly (thanks to seeing all the great Unilocal reviews) and she scheduled me in for a consultation session on the same day!
During our initial consultation session, Kimberly was patient with ALL of my questions about Gabby and training — how to deal with her teething, short attention span, potty training, etc. and I immediately signed Gabby up for Kimberly’s private training sessions which also included puppy kindergarten.
We have seen a HUGE transformation in Gabby’s behavior after receiving just a few training lessons from Kimberly. Both my boyfriend and I would confidently recommend Kimberly’s dog training services to everyone and anyone with a new puppy, or a disobedient dog.

Kim’s Puppy Kindergarden was amazing! My girlfriend and I adopted a Archie who is a pit mix and we were very concerned about making sure he was socialized and well trained. Puppy Kindergarden was the perfect answer. Kim is super patient with everyone and she provides a great environment for the dogs to interact and learn to be around all types dogs and people. It is also a great way to work on training while in a high distraction area with the other dog. On top of everything you’re in a room FULL OF PUPPIES!!! Overall I highly recommend Puppy Kindergarden for any type of dog. Archie now takes regular trip to the dog park and doggy daycare and I feel confident that he is well socialized and happy. We are truly grateful to Kim and all she did for us.

Brewster and family would love to thank Kim for being so patient and kind to help us. Brewster is a rescue dog we brought in to Kim to help with basic commands such as; sit, come, lay down and stay. We also had Kim help us with Brewsters uncontrollable barking which thankfully now is controlled. We are now a confident and educated family about Brewster’s training. We are so glad we didn’t go anywhere else. I also want to thank Kim and staff for Brewster’s fabulous hair cut. It was 100% better than expected and exceeded our one time at Petco (which will never go back there for). Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon!

Want to thank Kimberly for helping to turn me into an obedient and good girl. I was one paw out the door when I was I introduced to her. After my first lesson my mommy was able to walk me without me pulling and jumping on her. I’m happy to say Kim taught me how to listen and make my new family happy they have me. Kimberly taught them how to not let me have my way and for them to be in charge.

We are first time dog owners of an adorable and lovable cockapoo named Joe. When researching for training schools Confident K9’s reviews on Unilocal and other sites made us confident that this was the best dog training program available within New York City, and we couldn’t have been more right. Confident K9’s owner Kim is extremely passionate and knowledgeable of everything dog/​puppy related. From the very beginning of our puppy kindergarden class Kim made us feel comfortable and provided a safe and clean training area for Joe. He, and our family, absolutely loved going to our puppy kindergarden classes and have seen a huge improvement in Joe’s socialization with other dogs and obedience. Kim is patient while explaining her training techniques and is committed to making sure that both owner and dog nail down each lesson. She even encourages us to call her on her cell during the week if we have any questions. When it came time to bring Joe for his 1^st grooming we wouldn’t go anywhere else, he loved spending time with Kim, was not nervous at all and came out looking like one sharp puppy. All in all we could not have asked for a better experience and will continue to use Kim for further training and grooming. She is truly a wonderful person and has become a friend to the whole family, Joe included.

I have to say everyone here were so friendly and you can see how dog friendly they all are. scrappy came to get groomed and what a great job they did. I also asked Kim a few questions and she was super helpful and she knows her stuff about animals and training it was great. I’m so happy that I live up the block from here. scrappy was very happy and so pleased to go with Kim to get groomed it was very nice to see him not shake or bark it was a comfortable feeling. im happy to have found them so close to the area. Cant wait to come back

All I have to say is «Thank you Kim for doing a great job on our dog, Brooklyn». Kimberly not only taught our family pet the basics, she taught us as well. We never had any experience with owning a dog before, so we needed help & she worked with us every step of the way. Brooklyn is a pound dog & had problems. She hated loud trucks & trains. So Kimberly came to our home to work with her. You can tell she loves dogs & has no fear of them whatsoever. She is control & the dogs seem to sense that she is in charge. Our dog now knows that I am in charge & does whatever I tell her to do. Thanks Kim!

I have a 9 month old male Siberian Husky («Keegan») that just like any other husky is full of energy, playful and mischievous, and on top of everything stubborn. And that’s why I love huskies, however without obedience training things could get out of hand. And that is where Kimberly came to rescue. On our first encounter she was very pleasant, answered all my questions and concerns while the little guy was running around, trying to destroy everything, and at the end of our first meeting she came up with a structured 8 week obedience plan that would match my needs. Throughout the trainings she was absolutely patient and gentle with Keegan. And every time before we end the session, she made sure that I had learned the concept of the specific command, and that I was comfortable with preforming it.
My boy has just graduated this week, and I can say for sure that he is absolutely a different husky. He has less disruptive behaviors and is more focused on me. I feel confident to walk around the town with my dog and know that he will listen to me when I need him to do so. I can not recommend anybody as Competent, Confident and Caring Trainer as Kimberly. I love Labella Pooch! My husband and I decided to randomly purchase our yorkie Xion… we went home and were like wow!!! We returned after receiving a flier about dog training… we did our research with other local dog training/​ers and loved the intimate setting of the training school… one on one training for our new puppy! When walking in with our puppy Kim’s work speaks for itself, the images of other trained dogs… and larger breeds made us feel great… This had to be God sent. We immediately enrolled our puppy in the class and saw literally miracles in the making. Xions first package… turned into three… and will continue until he no longer needs it… even if he doesn’t…Kims techniques, detailed explanations… demonstrations as well as guided opportunity to see you work with your dog. Our puppy started with just a basic package and we still have him going to see Kim! Our puppy responds with Kim as if she is a miracle worker… Kim is skilled at what she does and is patient and devoted to her work. I am so fortunate to have her in Xion’s life. Kim knows all the ins and outs or doggy behaviors as well as other techniques that can be used, when stuck at home frightened… being able to return the following week and discuss what happened and having such an educated response is more than soothing!
Her store is filled with products that are organic and takes her time to explain not only useful products… but strategically listening to whether or not you pup likes/​dislikes the food that! I have to say… ALL of what she says works! (not only because I am a first time dog owner).I will continue to refer Kim to my friends… or who ever has a dog or needs a dog trainer. Kim is not only a dog trainer but its like she has become a part of the family! This down to earth environment allows individuals like myself to feel confident in training my dog. For a first time pet owner, I do not feel alone, or even scared! Her work speaks for itself as other dog owners would come to the shop and to see their responses is a sealed deal!!!
