The products we use on your garments are eco-​friendly, organic, and hypoallergenic. Our on-​site tailor will also do alterations and mending.

They’re alright. It’s pretty pricey to wash clothes here, and the machines can get all occupied on the weekends. It’s a pretty tiny location too. If you don’t have any other option, you can use this laundromat.

Terrible experience. They ruined 3 of my dress shirts: 2 with stains on them that weren’t there before and one with a cut in the fabric. They tried multiple times to get the stains out but were unsuccessful. I requested either a refund or some type of credit for future cleaning, but they refused to accommodate either. I would have expected better service for someone who has been a repeat customer. Never using them again.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS IF YOU LIKE YOUR CLOTHES! We really wanted Cobble Hill Cleaners to be our go-​to laundry place, but they have messed up our clothing over and over again. In the past couple of months, they’ve put our hang dry clothes in the dryer THREE times when the bag explicitly says hang-​dry, they’re in delicates bags, and we repeatedly tell the guy who picks up the clothes that they need to be hung to dry. When we’ve called, they just say sorry there’s nothing they can do. In addition, they lost a brand new (giant) bottle of detergent that we gave them to use on our clothes.
It’s a shame because their pick up and drop off is quick and convenient, but if they can’t properly wash and dry the clothes, it doesn’t matter. Find somewhere else to take your business.

I’ve tried with these guys over and over… and yet… the problems never end. And, it’s always someone else’s fault. not theirs. They pick up and deliver quickly. They fold well. However, I have lost a tunic, a jacket and slippers that were never returned. (Not really their fault according to them… the fault is that it needed to be hung dry instead of dried in the dryer. Although the slippers were dried in the dryer and disappeared. The washed the ivory curtains with a red scarf and turned them pink.(This was not their fault… their was some story about who was implicated and I can’t remember it) They ripped a tunic top so badly that it can not be repaired except by cutting it off, so it will end up the wrong length. (This is a problem of the fabric, not that they tugged it until it ripped when yanking it out of the washer.) They have poured bleach into the machine before there was enough water in the machine, so that the clothes ended up with bleach stains. (This could not have happened according to them). They gave me a free wash in exchange for the $ 180 worth of lost clothing… clearly $ 35 of free washing does not cover the cost of the clothing. They deny the bleach splatters. They are not concerned that the bleached curtains now do not match the others in the room and had to be replaced for $ 50. They offered to repair the tunic and since it can’t be repaired it is my fault that they ripped it pulling it out of the washer… or not their fault… or the fault of the clothing itself … or the fault that when they do a cold water gentle wash, they can’t really guarantee a delicate wash… or they are a laundry and this is why it happened. In other words, they would like you to have every single thing dry cleaned. Nice racket. There are many places in the city that do this quality of laundry service, there’s no need to single this one out.

Came here because I read that they were a little more ecofriendly than other places. Well $ 60 later, and all my dry cleaning came back smelling of moth balls. Disgusting. Never again.

Too crowded in most visits — either slow patrons or they have so many ppl’s wash they take up all the machines. One or two helpful staff but mostly ppl who hate their jobs and not shy about showing it. Machines need to be cleaned and repaired more than they are — but they are too busy expanding to care about their core business.

I have used them for nearly 4 years for all of my laundry needs: wash/​fold, hang dry and dry cleaning. I’ve also used them for a few tailoring jobs as well. Never had an issue. Delivery is prompt, workers are friendly, and super convenient hours.

The first (and last) time I used this service, I called to have my laundry delivered to me. I was told when I dropped off my laundry that this would take about 30 minutes. I called about 3:30 pm and was told it would take about 40 minutes – no problem. By 6:30 I still hadn’t received my laundry and had to leave to meet some friends for dinner. I called the next morning to inquire about my laundry and the response was, «Oh. We’ll deliver as soon as we can.» No apology or explanation. Thankfully there’s about 5 wash and folds within a 3 block radius of my apt.

I will first say that the people who work here have all been very nice. But that said, if you’re looking to for a clothing alteration, go somewhere else. I brought them a skirt to have the zipper replaced, which wasn’t cheap — $ 20. And when I got it back they had replaced the zipper but also ripped a hole near it (but not close enough to be involved in the stitching) that had been pretty poorly stitched back together. They first of all said nothing about it to me when they gave me the skirt back, and when I pointed it out they didn’t offer any apology or refund/​credit and told me it was just unforgiving fabric. I would hope that when I hand my clothes over to be repaired they don’t come back in worse condition, and if they do that the owners take responsibility for it. I’ll go to one of the many other dry cleaners in the area to have clothing altered next time.

This is the first laundry service I’ve found in the area I’m genuinely pleased with. Their delivery hours extend later than many. From my initial phone call to final delivery, communication was clear, friendly, and accommodating. My request for hang drying of some items was met without complaint and honored, neither of which is the norm in my experience.
I’ve tried several other wash and fold delivery services in the Boerum Hill neighborhood, but never more than once. Usually the delivery hours are restrictive, the prices high, and special requests hard to voice or confirm. I’m happy to have finally found a service I trust, and seems to want my business.

The people at the cashier are really, really rude. So much so I stopped going for a few months. But alas, they are the best place in the area.
Cobble Hill Cleaners dry clean and tailors well (I trust them with tailoring everything from suits to sweaters to curtains). And the prices are standard for Cobble Hill.

Why oh why is it soooo hard to find a dry cleaner who knows how to dry clean! I tried these guys because the original place I went to closed down and said they would be merging with their partners at Cobble Hill.
Gave them two chances and my husbands expensive custom done shirts were either shrunk or VERY poorly pressed. Pressed with creases… who should have to iron a shirt that has come back from the cleaners???
Anybody have a recommendation for a quality cleaner who knows how to clean and provides delivery service to Clinton Hill???

Cobble Hill Cleaners is the absolute best laundry and dry cleaning option in the neighborhood! Not only are the prices great but they are beyond accommodating.
Free same day pick up and delivery 7 days a week– all you do is call and they are there within 15 minutes! The other places in the area either don’t deliver or require an appointment more than a day ahead (incredibly annoying!!) Nothing is easy and convenient as Cobble Hill Cleaners. And to top it all off, Sal the owner, is beyond lovely.

Sal, Maria, & crew are top notch, and we love this efficient, friendly, professional cleaners. From dry cleaning peed on blankets (foster dogs, woo!) to perfectly pressed shirts to same-​day laundry turnaround, we can always count on these guys. They’re open early enough to drop off things before work, late enough to pick things up afterwards. So easy having a credit card on file. Aside from the missing sock here and there (let’s be honest, which cleaners doesn’t suffer this fate?), we’ve never had a bad experience. The other day, my boyfriend and I turned to each other out of the blue and marveled at how much we love this spot — better than any place we’ve used in NYC in the past near-​decade.

Punctual pickup and delivery to my door. Over six years, I’ve had nothing but excellent service from Sal and his crew. I have an issue maybe once every two years or every 100 deliveries (e.g. a misplaced shirt, lost button), and they always resolve things to my satisfaction. The fact they are open late and take credit cards are a major plus.

Terrible customer service and even worse business sense. I have been a loyal customer for over two years and spend, on average, close to $ 200 a month on dry cleaning, wash and fold etc. So I was obviously surprised when I brought back a pair of pants that had a bleach stain on them and was told by the owner that he was not «responsible for any merchandise once it was out of the store.» To be clear, the pants still had the cleaners tag on them, they clearly hadn’t been worn since I had picked them up, and the owner readily admitted that it was his service that had ruined the pants. In spite of all that he refused to offer anything in compensation and still had the gall to claim that he was going «above and beyond» for his customers. Apparently, it was my fault for not inspecting every piece of clothing that I picked up while still on the premises. These were a pair of cheap pants that I would have happily accepted $ 20 in cleaning services for. Instead this place lost my business on «principle.»

Decided to use this place because it was close to my house. I took two dark coats in to get dry cleaned. Which I assumed mean having all lint taking off and stains would get cleaned too? Maybe not?
Well $ 21 bucks a coat and they both came back terribly. One was better than the other, but it wasn’t that bad when I took it in. It had a few white hairs on it, lint I’m assuming.
But the other was covered in hairs, looked like dog or cat hair and I Don’t have any pets! Between the creases of the coat, it looked like it was never cleaned. It has a large collar and it was totally covered in hair, lint and looked untouched.
I won’t be using them again.

This Cobble Hill laundry/​dry cleaners has been cleaning my cloths for the past 4 years and worth the walk from Carroll Gardens! Professional and friendly they offer thoughtful service. I recently dry cleaned a shirt that had a missing button. I forgot to tell them about it when I dropped it off and sure enough… they replaced it when I picked it up! A nice surprise when I came home.
Another favorite reason for the 5 Star review is the fact that they don’t use harsh chemicals when dry-​cleaning the clothes. I have been to 3 dry-​cleaners in my neighborhood and they all have that dry-​cleaning smell! Cobble Hill Cleaners NEVER, EVER has it and I just love them for it!
Oh! I almost forgot! I only used the service once when I was in a pinch — Cobble Hill cleaners delivers! For FREE! Nice touch!

CBC (as I’ll start to call it now) does two very important things for me.
#1 They wash my clothes so I don’t smell funky
#2 They wash and press my shirts for work so that I look dashing (as much as I can)
No, but for real. They are a fine little dry cleaner.
Here is what I like about them compared to my old cleaners (that was across the street (awkward)).
— They are open to 9pm
— They are open seven days a week
— They take credit cards
— They will wash you clothes in the non-​smelly scent-​free soap if you ask them to
— Same day laundry service done on-​premise by women who have magic folding skills
I’m a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews, but then again, I’m a simple man with simple needs (clean clothes) and have rarely needed to have a pillow dry-​cleaned or anything fancy like that. They haven’t lost anything of ours apart from maybe a random sock. Nothing has been ruined or destroyed. We’ve been coming here for many years.

I’ve been using Cobble Hill Cleaners for over a year now as my regular dry cleaning shop. For the most part, everything has been fine. Until recently. Over a week ago I dropped off a silk dress (never worn) to be pressed. I bought this dress outside the country and was saving it to wear to a wedding. When I picked the dress up it looked like it had never been pressed. Wrinkles everywhere. I had already paid for it, but showed it to the gentleman at the register. He told me there was nothing he could do because the owner wasn’t there. He assured me that he would leave my name & number to have someone call me.
I return home with the dress and then notice that the paper below the plastic covering is stapled to my dress. I then have to pull the staples out which resulted in small pulls at the shoulders. As angry as I was I decided to give them a chance to call me. I’m a regular customer & I figure they want to keep the business they have.
I finally let a week go by, but no call. I called them & was told (again) that no one there could help me, but someone would call me back. I’m not holding my breath and needless to say, they do not have my business any longer. It’s a shame that they take customer service so lightly.
