Cleaning with Meaning Provides Jobs for Individuals with Disabilities

Cleaning with Meaning was created more than two years ago with a goal of finding employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cleaning with Meaning is a home and office cleaning business in the New York metropolitan area and Hudson Valley.

The 50% of the cleaning technicians have a disability. Cleaning with Meaning is providing many of them with an opportunity to work for the first time in their life. All Cleaning with Meaning employees undergo weeks of rigorous training, not only to learn the appropriate cleaning and office skills, but also to develop and deliver outstanding customer service.

Cleanings team consists of two cleaner, a team leader and cleaning assistant. Both individuals are expert cleaners. Many of our team leaders come from the most prestigious cleaning companies NYC.

My experience with Cleaning With Meaning was absolutely phenomenal. I’m extremely allergic to cats and was moving into a home where the previous owner not only had several cats, but had let the place go. I hired CWM to give the place a once-​over before we began our moving process, and they did an amazing job. Everything was spotless, our floors sparkled and the whole place smelled like heaven. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly, and used a special vacuum to get up as much cat hair as possible, which made a huge difference – I was finally able to breathe! I would recommend them to any and everyone a million times over.

These guys were just excellent. The team did a simply excellent job of my move-​out clean. Thorough, didn’t miss a spot, made it look like new. Also, were completely charming. I have experienced some other cleaning services and these guys were the best for sure. A really excellent team.

I used this company for the first time this week.
The price was just right and it was worth every penny.
I have a one bedroom apartment and they cleaned it in 3 hours. Total price $ 96 plus tax. For this price I got two cleaners (super nice and wonderful cleaners) and all the cleaning products. My house smelled so nice and everything looked great. The nicest it looked in a long time. So nice I called my mom to come over. LOL
Last but not least I gave it the white sock test. They passed!!! socks still clean after walking on the floors.
I am going to call them again.

This cleaning service does a very good job. For my apt, they send a two person cleaning team, an expert cleaner and her assistant who has a developmental disability (hence the name, Cleaning with Meaning). I like the idea of supporting a local business which employs individuals with disabilities. It helps that they do a good job and the price is right.

I have been using Cleaning with Meaning for many months and it is an excellent green cleaning service. The two cleaners (master cleaner and cleaning technician) do a fantastic job and the attention to detail is exceptional. My bathrooms, in particular, are sparkling! I highly recommend this service to others, plus this is a great company that is focused not just on the bottom line but a broader social goal. Love those chocolate mints that they leave!

I had high expectations because I’d heard good things but I was not expecting this. I have my own studio apt and never clean it. After a year I decided I needed to do it but didn’t know where to start so I decided to give these guys a shot based on a recommendation. Mind you, I have gunk and dust built up everywhere. Not only was it all gone when they were through, but surfaces were left with this awesome shine. The best part of it though was the thoughtful detail. Cords were nicely twined up, towels were folded and placed, books and papers were straightened and stacked in their logical places, and every corner, even inconspicuous areas were reached. The staff was very friendly and professional as well. I’m very glad I decided to opt for this service!

Had a wonderful cleaning done by this company. I had some special instructions like dusting my ceiling fans and they did a great job. My bathtubs are made of a material that retains stains and when I did my best job of cleaning them some stains never got out. This company got those stains out. I was particularly struck with how nice my apartment smelled when I got home — and my floors sparkled! I had to host a bridal shower and everyone commented on how clean my house was.
