Our associates include solar design specialists, architects, building contractors, electricians, plumbers and insulation experts, who can create and execute your project, from start to finish, or anywhere in between.

We also inspire, educate and innovate through our partnership with the New York Solar Energy Society (NYSES​.org).

History

Established in 2004.

City Solar is «social enterprise» business, where sustainability is the bottom line, rather than profit. Our aim is to integrate a healthy planet, including sustainable energy, sustainable land use, housing, food production, water use with healthy human and other earth inhabitants, increasing compassion, communication and creativity.

We started in community gardens in NYC.

We are affiliated with NYSES​.org (New York Solar Energy Society), PHNY​.org (Passive HouseNY) and work in association with INNER​BE​ING​.net, PS​-ILOVE​-YOU​.net, Planet​-Social​.net.

Meet the Business Owner

Tracy F.

Business Owner

Tracy F has lived and worked in Brooklyn for 39 years.

She is a feminist, flautist, tango dancer (lead and follow), certified in solar energy in 2001 by Farmingdale SUNY, has been BPI (Building Performance Institute) trained, is and LEED AP (Leader in Energy Efficiency and Design), designed and built two community garden solar installations and one water fall/​arbor, and works as a licensed NYS acupuncturist and NLP practitioner.

She believes that we can have a healthy planet and healthy inhabitants, and works towards that health through energy.
