The spicy pork tacos were absolutely delicious. The chicken taco could have used another ingredient but still good. They give you a lot of meat and the verde sauce was very fresh.

Best Tacos in bushwick. I stopped at this spot for a quick bite to eat on cinco de mayo thinking that this place was nothing special especially since this spot looks more like a deli than a restaurant. Anyways I decided to give it a shot and I was shocked at how delicious and authentic this place is. For 5 bucks I got 2 delicious chicken tacos served with some spicy salsa. yum! Please give this spot a try:-)

I am here to confirm what the only other reviewer testified FIVEYEARSAGO. I don’t usually order burritos from little Mexican spots in Brooklyn. As a native San Franciscan(Mexican food snob) I have come to regard them as over-priced experiments in disappointment. There is a widespread burrito perversion that confuses them with– what– sandwiches? wraps? I stick to tacos, nachos, quesadillas… I’m no fool. So when a friend insisted I try a burrito from Cholula I was suspicious. My concerns were magnified when my food arrived. The burrito came with french fries, and instead of being wrapped in tin foil, they rolled it up in wax paper and slice it in half. If not for the badass portraits of Zapata on the wall urging me to play this thing out, I might have left. I looked at my plate, then at Zapata, and I whispered, «OK Cholula, you gotta be you, I respect that.» And yup, it’s probably the best burrito for miles around. The steak tastes like the flesh of a resplendent beast. Everything is fresh. It’s bigger– and cheaper– than a Dos Toros or Chipotle burrito. It is a magical thing, packed up in a gently toasted flour tortilla. Rice, beans, jack cheese, carne asada, and some green sauce on the side, $ 8. And then there’s those french fries which will surely come in handy later when the hungers return. I’m glad Old Stanley’s opened up next to this place because it will be good for their business, and they deserve a hell of a lot more recognition than one Unilocal review in five years,(although that other review is a fittingly mind-blown appraisal of this little gem).

OHEMGEE This place was wonderful! Nothing fancy. Great spot for ordering in or grabbing a quick bite. I ordered the nacho dish(no meat) and a cheese quesadilla. It was very authentic. None of that yellow cheese wiz! My neighbors must have thought I was getting some good loving! After every bite… Oh my god… Holy sh*t it’s good… Jesus Christ… mmmm… yes… I am not lying… On top of the nachos… Fresh guac cilantro onions sour cream re-fried beans(not old and pasty) tomato shredded lettuce Amazing delicious melted cheese(not the kind where you pick up one nacho and ALL the cheese comes with it) some kind of yummy grated cheese… it was just wonderful! and the quesadilla… an orgasm in a soft pocket of tortilla goodness. It was so good, we called after eating to tell them how much we enjoyed it! Please go. There’s another location Myrtle Avenue, and one of Broadway if I am not mistaken. If I have another child, his/her name shall be Cholula.
