One of the worst experiences service wise of all time. I ordered green tea to start and lets be real it’s nearly impossible to fuck up Green tea but they managed to bring me at best luke warm green tea that I believe was just hot water from the faucet in cup that sat around for a few minutes before it got to me. I asked for hot tea and after they brought me it, we ordered our dinner (I was with 5 people). I specifically ordered Steamed Red Snapper with mixed veggies no rice noting there was a deep fried Snapper on the menu and I don’t eat deep fried foods. Everyones food came except mine. I waited… and I waited… and I waited. I eventually called over the waiter to ask what happened. He told me my food would be up in a few minutes. When it finally arrived it was the deep fried Snapper. It also had congealed sauce over it as did my friends pad thai that arrived 10 minutes earlier.
I called over the waiter and asked what happened. He had no answer and I told him I didn’t want it. He offered to make me a new dish but after waiting for my food for about 15 minutes my friends were finishing up there meals and I was over it. I told him I was fine, I just didn’t want the fish. Then the bill comes and the fish is on the bill. i complained and they took it off the bill but the charge for the tea remained. When a waiter messes up your order they usually offer to comp something no?
My friend said something about it out loud and the waiter offered to take my tea of the bill. I agreed but only after making sure the fish was off the bill and vowed never to eat here (well I never did eat there so…) again.
Do not eat here if you want anything resembling service. Can’t comment on the food I never got to eat shit here.

Stopped in here while on a recent excursion to Williamsburg. Because it was lunch time, I had the place all to myself. The design and art work are a must see. Very cool interior design and nice high ceilings. Bet this place gets packed in the evenings. Had a Thai iced tea and it was good. Don’t recall what I had for lunch, possibly Pahang Curry which is usually my go to. And lately, I have been having just some so so Thai food, but I recall the food and sauce being absolutely delicious. Think I even took the leftover sauce home to mix with rice later. Hope to be back here again soon. The menu has a photo of belly dancers. That would be really amazing to see and the perfect venue.

Love the food. Always consistent… and delicious. Service is always friendly. Definitely my favorite go to for Thai in the neighborhood.

I ordered from this place cause I saw that it had good reviews. And I was really disappointed. The Tom Yum Soup was ok, but it had too many Bay leaves in it which really overpowered the lemongrass and made it taste more like pizza soup than anything. And the Pad Thai, a staple at any thai restaurant, was sub par. Cold, clumpy, stale in flavor. There was no lime to give a splash of citrus. Overall this place was dismal. Avoid going here if you are looking for some flavorful eats.

We did not have a lot of expectation before going. And it surely was below it! The food was average. The menu seemed authentic, but the flavors were very basic and not well balanced. The ambiance was boring with depressing music from the 00′. I will certainly never try it again, even if I am very hungry and all the other options are full.

This place is… fine. I don’t understand the rave reviews about the food. Honestly, it’s mediocre. I get thai food from here because there’s nothing better that delivers to my neighborhood.

Favorite place to eat Thai food. Cheers sampler is a must have. Great service, food and drinks. Would definitely recommend

I’m sorry but Sage is better. The food isn’t bad per se (I ordered the Hobo Noodle and Beef Pad Thai Lunch Special), but like many of the other reviews said I’ve had better, and more importantly I’ve had better in the same neighborhood.

Order the Massaman Curry with Beef & Hobo Noodle with Chicken.
Both were just ok. The flavors were kind of thin, especially the sauce in the curry. Kind of watery.

I agree with the overall rating. Cheers Thai is a solid 3.5 stars.
Décor, ambiance, and service is 4. The place has very comfortable seating, high ceilings, and the overall décor was really good and unique. I imagine this would be a good place for large parties because of how spacious it is.
Food was okay. We ordered the Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Tom Kha Gai, & Penang Curry. Everything was just a bit too salty for our group’s tastes, but it wasn’t bad. The portions were very generous.
I would definitely try it at least once if you’re interested!

Old Reliable!
You could always count on cheers to get your order right and deliver on time. The pineapple fried rice with chicken is delicious! I always ask for mine spicy. And the crispy Thai fried dumplings are so good my boyfriend and I always fight over the last one. I ate there once on a Friday night it’s a really cute place, been meaning to get back but haven’t gotten to yet.

Found this place to just be ok.
Good: The décor is kind of funky and cool. Really interesting light fixtures and decorations. Staff was also friendly and food was served quickly. The dancing shrimp appetizer was super tasty! It’s such a unique texture and taste. Highly recommend you trying it out.
Meh: The food I found to be just ok. Nothing special. I hate going to restaurants and asking for a dish to be extra spicy and it comes out of the kitchen tasting very bland. Unfortunately, this was the case at this restaurant.

I had my favorite thai dish there (Pad Thai Gai) the food was authentic and delicious. Super service and very friendly.
The atmosphere is cozy and it’s nicely furnished. Good place to grab an uncomplicated dinner.

I’m thinking the average-​bad reviews are mainly based off their food. I came here for their happy hour and only ordered drinks at the bar. The servers were suuuuper friendly and attentive. I ordered myself a coconut mojito. Ended up ordering 2 more. It was very delicious. I do wish they wouldn’t put so much ice in it though. But that’s how they get you with the portions, I guess.
This was a very quiet restaurant. I felt like I almost had to be aware of how loudly I was speaking. The atmosphere is great for a quiet and intimate date.
Based off the reviews, I think I would only come here for drinks and maybe appetizers.

I read the 20 last reviews and it looks like people give bad reviews when they order online and decent/​good reviews when they experience the restaurant.
I went to Cheers Thai yesterday night. I live in the area and I always passed by this restaurant. It is very dark inside and I always thought they were running out of business because I never saw no one (or few people) inside. However I thought the model next to the window with their lamp shades hat were pretty cool. I wanted to try this curious place.
Like a lot of people who reviewed the design I think that it is an incredible weird place. The lamp in the cage, the clock on the ceiling… we feel like we are in a movie set! Design is very important to me.
The service was good. Maybe a little bit slow in the beginning. But nothing to get mad about. People are polite and attentive with you order.
The food: I have to be honnest; I was starving. Sometimes hunger make you think that everything is delicious. However the food is indeed very very good. It didn’t wow me but you recognized all the thai flavors. Portion are perfect. Well presented. I had the bosom buddies that was a little spicy but yummy and my friend had the grilled salmon. Both very good. I also like the cocktail menu. Very correct. I had a $ 10 highballs. The food menu had some very good dish and I would recommend to try the specials on the first page.
Anyway I want to give them a 4 stars because I had a very nice experience there. When I order from seamless I usually order from hi noodles closer to my place but the restaurant worth the little walk :) I will definitely come back next month with my 2 friends coming to visit me! Cheers!

So, I suddenly feel inspired to write a review again after like… a year or two off?
Anyway– I couldn’t think of a better place to write about than this. I’ve been here a ton of times (often hungover) and NEVER had a bad experience. The pad thai is superb, the spring rolls, exquisite– the mojitos, phenomenal. I’ve never seen it too crazy in there and whenever I’ve gone in I always feel a sort of wave of calm– like, «oh yeah, Jeremy, you’re about to be pampered.»
The thing is, good as the food is– I might like the atmosphere even better (not sure on this one, it’s possible). The décor is gorgeous– there’s these real high ceilings and all kinds of neat decorations. Have you ever seen the movie «Little Monsters»? Fred Savage goes into this underground world of monsters in it. The restaurant sort of makes me think of that underground world. It’s a good thing. Granted that’s extremely specific to me and may in no way be helpful to others, but this is MY review so get off my case, please.
And the service is just really wonderful.
Eat here. I hope you like it. Or don’t. I don’t want it to get too crowded.

My favorite place for thai food around the Lorimer/​Metropolitan subway.
Food is great, the restaurant at this «new» location looks very nice, and the service as always been very good.
Deliveries are hands down the fastest I ever had in the neighborhood, I found myself starving waiting for delivery from another restaurant while my roommate had time to order from Cheers about 30min after me and getting his food before!

I completely do not understand how this business has 3 stars right now. My one star is for the decent Tom Kha soup, I ordered that in addition to the Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp Lunch Deal. It was by far the worst Pineapple Fried Rice I have ever tasted. I could not eat it it was so terrible, I sought out the canned pineapple chunks among the rice and completely skipped the bland shrimp. After all the pineapple was eaten I resorted to the side salad, since ya can’t really mess up ice burg lettuce! I ended up tossing most of the food because it was just a mess of and tasteless rice, peas and carrots.
There are so many better options in the neighborhood for Thai food, do yourself a favor and skip this! Their kitchen seriously needs help!

I have eaten here a few times and also taken to-​go food as it was on my way from school to the subway.
The girls serving was kind, food good or average depending on what… In general, I would say it’s Ok if you go for a bite, or for an easy evening with friends, as the atmosphere is cosy. Not for a gourmet dinner.
