Brooklyn Youth Marines, Inc. is an extracurricular youth enrichment non-​profit organization. We offer several programs to New York City youth ages (9) and up that focus on character development, leadership training, physical fitness community service, physical fitness, and having fun.



Our organization was built on the United States Marine Corps principle of «Ductus Exemplos» which is latin for «Lead by Example». Therefore, everyone from highest ranking personnel to lowest ranking cadet will exemplify or learn how to be the person others want to look up to positively. Our training is not easy and we demand a lot from everyone in our program, which includes the parents of our marine cadets.

History

Established in 2012.

Brooklyn Youth Marines, Inc. traces its roots back 1994 when an after school program changed the lives of many poverty stricken children in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Inspired by his former Commanding Officer’s application of leadership, the founder of this illustrious organziation set out to enrich young boys and girls across the United States to become positive, proactive and persevering men and woman. And thus, Brooklyn Youth Marines, Inc. was founded on September 14^th, 2012.
