Walking over to this little food truck to grab some popcorn before ice skating at Bryant park. Liked their sweet flavor and chocolate flavor and you can mix them up! For a small bag it was 6 dollars.
Would come back and try the cheddar cheese flavor for sure!

This popcorn is to die for, and you can get it from a truck! Brooklyn popcorn trucks pop up in various places around NY. They have many different flavors from caramel popcorn to jalapeño nacho popcorn. On their website you can track to see where their truck is. You can also customize your own bucket with up to 3 different flavors. So delicious, you’ll be coming back for more!

Company ownership treats its customers terribly, and they attempted credit card fraud. They also threatened to retrieve my package without crediting the money back. I had an absolutely horrific and shocking experience with this company, not to mention hearing from my friend I sent the popcorn to that it’s terrible (which I read in numerous reviews). Here is what happened, and I will paste some of the amazing things the top representatives and owners said to me via e-​mail. Since this post will be long, I’ll first list the things they e-​mailed to me, which included an attempt at credit card fraud. I am glad to take screenshots of the e-​mail exchanges as proof, should the company attempt to dispute these happenings. I had to request that they stop
«Please use another popcorn company in the future, as I’m sure they’ll use more resources to rectify your „shipping“ issues. Frankly, I was thinking how I was going to be compensated for all my efforts.»
Considering I paid for my order and was continually told that it would be shipped in a timely manner, this statement was odd. Not to mention following through with a service/​good that was purchased is simply the responsibility of the company that this service/​good was purchased from. That’s the definition of a completed transaction.
«Typical of you to create an issue, get the package delivered, and then expect a discount or a freebie.»
I never asked for a freebie. I only asked to be compensated for their awful service.
I had to put a stop on my credit card from their company. They attempted to charge me $ 51 in shipping without my knowledge or approval. That also, by definition, is credit card fraud. They owners of the company threatened me, and threatened to retrieve the package. There was nothing said about crediting my card back had they actually illegally tried to retrieve this package, as well.
«If you don’t respond to this email with agreement to pay us for our services (release any claim you mentioned below to the credit company), we’ll be forced to recall the package and contact your client for „return“ of our product.»
I never used foul language, and simply stated my disappointment and frustration in a well spoken and decent manner. Again, I’d be glad to screenshot these e-​mails. They said, «With this level of customer service I’d like to know how you will compensate us!!! You’re a real piece of work, you and your bad attitude!!!»
Here is what happened in order of events:
–I placed my order, and soon received an e-​mail stating the address I gave is undeliverable according to UPS. I double checked on google and with UPS and Fedex, and that mailing address, which is Camden Yards, is a correct address and a deliverable location (which was proven when it was finally delivered). I e-​mailed them to let them know.
–I hadn’t received a reply for half a week and e-​mailed them again. This was after their phone number to place orders was continually ringing with no answer. I received a call later that night from one of the owners stating they would find an alternative way to mail the popcorn if necessary, and I would hear from them the next day via phone call. This solution seemed promising. The call never came.
–I e-​mailed them once again days later and received a phone call a day or two after that e-​mail. I was told they just sent the package and postage was «slightly» higher than the initial $ 9.95 shipping and handling charge. The owner told me he would e-​mail the shipping information that evening. It never came.
–I e-​mailed them once again to state my frustration. I told them that I hoped they would compensate me in some way for the incredibly poor service I received (It could have been monetary, or perhaps a discount on a future order, etc). I was told, «Please use another popcorn company in the future, as I’m sure they’ll use more resources to rectify your „shipping“ issues. Frankly, I was thinking how I was going to be compensated for all my efforts.» As I said earlier, completing a simple transaction I paid for is not a reason to further compensate that company.
–Then, as seen above, they tried to charge my credit card a charge of $ 51 that I did not approve. This, simply, is credit card fraud. Shipping going from $ 9.95 to $ 51 is not «slightly higher.» Moreover, I would have never approved such a charge for an item that only costs $ 15.95.
Avoid this company like the plague, Its business practices are truly astounding.

Ran into the popcorn truck on the upper east side after taking a walk through Central Park. Delicious!!! Totally worth getting some if you even remotely like popcorn. I am partial to a lot of things Chicago but this popcorn hands down kicks Garretts popcorn out of the park. Not greasy or oily but had delicious flavor without being too sweet! Only
Tried the kettle corn but I will be ordering on line. Perfect blend of sweet and salty. May even top Pittsburgh popcorn.
Way to go! Glad I splurged on this treat.

This truck pops up near my office from time to time. Been wanting to try it for a long while now. A co-​worker got some a couple months back. She said it was okay (with the accompanying shoulder shrug and walk away…).
Tried a sample just a few moments ago. The flavor components weren’t on point, or even there. The popcorn tasted a bit stale (not quite that rubbery texture… but not that fresh popped texture… or even the canned popcorn texture, which would have been fine)…just that «dang…I left the popcorn clipped a day too long» off… enough so that I didn’t go into my usual, «Maybe just that flavor is off… lemme try another sample, and find a reason to buy this goodie!» mode. One taste, and I knew the quality wasn’t gonna match the price tag for any of the savory flavors that caught my eye.
Maybe the dessert options are worth a go…
ps — I’ve also noticed they used to have a line filled with the people who work in the building. That line has progressively disappeared… sooo…

the best popcorn In the world ! Caramel is my favorite ! And it worth to come far away for it ! Yum yummy!

On 10÷9÷15 I bought a $ 5 bag of white cheddar cheese popcorn from the Brooklyn Popcorn truck in the Wall Street area of Manhattan. The popcorn was unbelievably disappointing. First, it was stale. Second, the cheese was not good or flavorful. Finally, it was seriously overpriced. I would have thought that if you specialize in popcorn, you’d make sure that your product is fresh. I wonder if the people selling this popcorn ever taste it?

We had Brooklyn Popcorn outside of our wedding venue at the conclusion of the night and they were awesome! They were able to work out a great deal with us and gave us multiple flavor options. Our guests were thrilled! What a fun way to end the evening. They didn’t limit how much each guest could try and even gave us extra popcorn to bring home at the end of the evening. Everybody loved the flavor varities. Would definitely recommend them!

In love with the garlic parm flavor! Can’t go wrong with their other flavors too such as cheddar, spicy japaleno, ranch, kettle, chocolate, cinnamon toast crunch.
They put together bags for you or if you want the big tins they have that too

THIS IS AMAZING. Was at Soho on Sunday and we got a small bag of Spicy Jalepeno and Four Cheese Mexican. Popcorn had never tasted better. Seriously, treat yourself.
The only downside is that the Spicy Jalepeno is surprisingly similar to wasabi. It really shoots up your nasal cavity and gives you a nice cough in the process. But did we stop eating? No we did not. Because it is delicious!

A savior on the oft-​food-​depleted area of East 70^th and York! While an occasional YoGo truck will take up residence on that corner, and despite the few Au Bön Pain kiosks set up within New York — Presbyterian, it’s a harsh walk up to 1^st Avenue for any kind of good food or even snacks. I have heard rumors of this truck from co-​workers; as I usually come and leave from the 68^th Street entrance, I never see it. However, going to lunch one afternoon, I smelled the popcorn a block before I could even see the truck!
The flavors being offered on my visit were pretty awesome. Off the top of my head, I recall Garlic Parmesan, White Cheddar, Caramel, Kettle, and Chocolate, along with plain’ ol popcorn. Per request of my office mates, I went for a small plain bag and a White Cheddar bag. Some might claim it’s a bit pricey, and yeah… it is. Still, if it’s delicious and well-​made, I’m fine with it. Those two bags cost $ 9 in total, but split between four co-​workers, ’twas no matter! We were all so satisfied. The White Cheddar was delicious and the cheese was so tangy! I was chastised, in hindsight, for not getting the Garlic Parmesan. If we weren’t all so full, we might have run downstairs for that third bag!
It’s a unique food truck with great options and a great staff; the man working the truck was kind, told us a bit about the business, and thanked us quite genuinely for supporting the business.
C’mon now… it’s hard to say no to popcorn! Can’t wait to try it again!

As far as popcorn goes, this stuff is amazing! I’ve has the white cheddar popcorn and the kettle corn. Both amazing. Just bought the cinnamon kettle corn– tastes like cinnamon toast crunch with a little but of a salty undertone… Super delicious. I’d like to see them come out with a truffle-​Parmesan popcorn (and bring it to the heights !!)

I bought from the truck in FiDi last night around 6:30 pm. Well, the truck looks original and artsy. The guys working the truck are friendly. The popcorn is ridiculously expensive for what it is, lousy, bland popcorn. $ 5 for a small bag of cheddar cheese popcorn. If you want to mix it with caramel flavored popcorn, it’s a $ 1 extra. What? Why? I’ll tell you why, get rich quick. There is no logic. If I buy a just one flavor, it’s $ 5, but mix with another flavor it’s $ 6. I didn’t sample, I wish I had, I wouldn’t be so pissed for wasting $ 5 on awful popcorn. People that gave this popcorn 4 or 5 stars are nuts, or maybe friends of the guys that work there.
A woman standing next to me sampling was totally unenthused, she kept asking, ‘but what is so special about this popcorn?’ I should have wondered then and sampled, I would have walked away. Brought half the bag home, my kids and their friend tried it, and same reaction, you paid $ 5 for this small bag of bland cheddar cheese popcorn? There were just a few peices that had enough flavor, and those that did were fine, nothing to write home about, but most of the peices were only lightly dusted with flavor.
My advice, sample before you buy, if you like bland, expensive popcorn, this is the truck for you, if not, if you want value for your dollar and flavor on your popcorn, walk away.

This is a food truck offering many flavors of popcorn — spicy cajun, ketchup, dill pickle, bbq, and many more. The popcorn tasted pretty good, but it was nowhere near as good as Garrett’s. It was not as rich in flavor or fresh as Garrett’s. They do have a good selection of unique flavors.

While walking down Broadway in SoHo, our noses were greeted by the sweet aroma of freshly-​popped popcorn and were led to this excitedly-​decorated food truck manned by two ready-​to-​help and cheery staff. They offered 6 to 8 popcorn flavors plus original (we only saw the sidewalk-​side of the truck though so they may have additional flavors on the other side) and it seemed they were making popcorn ongoing-​ly. However, the popcorn wasn’t as fresh as it seemed/​I would’ve preferred — and the reason why I gave it only 3 stars.
Give them a try anyway because it made for a great shopping snack. We ordered caramel (refreshingly not too sweet), original (I would’ve loved a tad bit more salt), and the garlic parmigiana (worth a try and goes great with caramel).

I love Brooklyn Popcorn! The people who run the truck are usually great, and I’ve even gotten a free bag for being a repeat customer.
While it’s a tad expensive for popcorn, it is pretty delicious, and there’s a good variety of flavors that they mix up day to day. They even have a popcorn truck locator on their website which I use to see if they’re in the neighborhood, as they rotate spots.
Another great thing about this place is the popcorn is organic and fairly low-​fat and healthy. Wish they had a flagship store.

Walking back to my office and stumbled onto the Brooklyn Popcorn Food Truck park on 45^th St and Madison Avenue.
I should’ve check-​in with Unilocal then I can redeem my 30% coupon off any popcorn. I guess I will have to save it for next time. I got a small bag of Caramel popcorn… my favorite flavor!
Can’t wait to try all the other flavors as well =)

Surprise to see this happy looking truck parked down Broad St in the FiDi — how can one resist?
Many flavors weren’t ready so I mixed two classic ones: white cheddar and caramel. Cheddar was tasty and not overwhelmingly salty, but I felt it could do with more crispness (all comparisons made to Garrett’s, however unfairly). Caramel fared better, crunchy and deeply rich without saccharine sweetness.
Great service, and I like the lightness of the flavoring. Mind-​blowing? Not really.

Brooklyn Popcorn came to my company’s cafeteria with some goods in tow earlier this spring. I got to try the dill pickle flavored popcorn, which was so addicting and unique!
Unfortunately haven’t seen their truck around my office building for a while now — I hope they make their popcorn more accessible soon!
