Love these guys! We have them sit our cat and they are responsive, flexible, and nice. Taryn and Edward are both really great to work with and totally reliable. Reasonable prices, too.

Taryn really is the best. You can tell just talking her that she looooves animals and what she cares about most is what’s best for your pet. She’s watched my cats on numerous occasions when I’ve been out of town and she’s been very attentive to their needs (and mine!) Kind, reliable, and knowledgeable — Taryn is a great person to talk to about any pet issues you may be experiencing or any advice or suggestions for your pets. As a cat sitter, she’s very accommodating: she’ll do once daily or twice daily visits as you need, she’ll clean out litter, feed the cats, clean their bowls, even give medications! Although I’m excited to move out of Brooklyn and onto other things in my life, I am very, very sad to be leaving Taryn behind!

I’ve been relying on Keisha to feed my cats when I’m unable to get home and when I’m traveling. She’s great. Communicative, flexible. She sends me photos and videos of the cats and seems to be bonding with them. Taryn’s also very responsive via email and nice on the phone. A relief to have found what seem like good and trustworthy people to help me out.

Taryn and Adrian are the best! Taryn is extremely professional, responsible, and organized in managing her business. Adrian has been our dedicated cat sitter for a few months now, and as long as we live in the area, we won’t turn to anyone else. Our two cats are emotional and picky, and take some time to warm up to new people, but Adrian never loses patience and reports back on their progress when we’re away. I wouldn’t be able to rest easy when away if it weren’t for the Cattitude team taking care of our babies! Highly recommend!

Taryn and Adrian and the rest of the Street Strutters team have been looking after our precious adoptee, Happy, for a couple months now and we anticipate they will be Happy’s second family for a long time to come.
They genuinely care for Happy as one of their own and are super flexible to work with our schedules as well.

Taryn is the best. Super helpful, super friendly, always available to cat sit. She took very good care of Timo every time I went out of town. Which was often. She always sent a photo along with her daily status reports.
In short, Taryn is great and you will have the best cared-​for cat in the 5 boroughs!

If you’re reading this, you’re probably already aware of my cat lady status. And although I have been trying to get to the point where I can just stay in my apartment 24÷7÷365 with the only my 14 cats for company… it’s still early in the process. As of this moment, I only have the one cat, and I still do occasionally go outside.
When I have to go outside for longer than a day or so, I need someone to come in and take care of Batman.* Obviously he’s the smartest and most fantastic kitten in the entire world, but he prefers not to open his cans of food himself (he feels it’s beneath him). So we hire Cattitude to handle some business when we are away.
I must say, they are pretty great.
I didn’t realize when we first got the little guy that I would worry about him so much, but Taryn and Adrian have put our minds at ease when we travel. They are sweet, they are reliable, and they are experts. They deal with his strange and psychotic tendencies quite well, and they even took it completely in stride when they had to deal with Batman’s toilet-​training apparatus (which is more than I can say for all of our friends/​family).
I admit, we did have a scheduling issue once (they erred on the side of coming in too often, which is definitely much better than the alternative), and sometimes they forget to send me a picture during their visits. But these are minor issues. The fact that they sometimes send pictures at all is wonderful, and I’m pretty sure visual confirmation that he’s alive isn’t absolutely necessary every single visit.**
Anyway, if you leave your pet in Cattitude’s hand, you can rest easy.

**Even though, as a crazy cat lady, I’m contemplating camera installation to make sure he’s doing just fine while we’re gone.

Taryn is an angel. I was scheduled to travel out of the country a couple of weeks ago and it would be my first time leaving my kitties since we moved here from Los Angeles. Our neighbor down the hall also has 2 cats and offered to take care of my girls while I was gone, and when she wound up in the hospital less than a week before my trip I came to Unilocal in a panic to research local cat sitters. All the 5-​star reviews led me to Brooklyn Cattitude, I contacted Taryn and explained our situation, and she agreed to schedule a meet & greet with us ASAP.
I knew from the moment Taryn walked through the door that she was the right person to care for my furbabies. I’ve had some good cat sitters in the past, but she is a one-​of-​a-​kind gem of a human being. She has the perfect manner for dealing with scaredy cats and their neurotic humans, and I really appreciate her respect for the unique needs of each animal. My kitties are shelter rescues and they’ve been through a lot so I’m an overprotective lioness when it comes to them. Both are extremely sociable and affectionate when they feel safe, and they’re accustomed to getting tons of love and attention from me. Unfortunately they’re terrified of new people — my little one in particular won’t *ever* come out of hiding when a sitter is here, and it breaks my heart to think that she goes without any human contact or love for up to a week at a time while I’m away. Needless to say, every time I leave them in someone else’s care I’m an anxious mess.
After spending time with Taryn and seeing how she approached the situation I was completely calm and reassured in the knowledge that they would be in her capable and loving hands while I was gone. Every sitter I’ve hired in the past has been fine with taking on the job of caring for my cats without actually ever meeting them because they were too scared to come out. Not Taryn. I showed her their hiding spots, she asked me for their favorite treats, and she went about trying to coax them both out. I LOVED watching her work. She’s quiet and gentle, and totally understands how to go about introducing herself to a frightened, cowering kitty. It warmed my heart. Both stayed in their «safe» places until Taryn left, but the moment she walked out the door they came running out to sniff the chair she had been sitting in. I had no doubt they would make fast friends once they had some time alone with her.
Due to a family emergency I had to cancel my trip 2 days before I was scheduled to leave, but I’m so grateful that we had the opportunity to meet Taryn and get all of the administrative stuff squared away. When I travel in the future I can do so with peace of mind, knowing that Taryn will be watching out for my girls.

We could not ask for a more exceptional and caring person to take care of our «children» (two 16 years old Bengal cats); Taryn is truly incredible!
It’s funny as when we got our two boys 16 years ago, we thought having 2 cats would make us feel less guilty about going away, but boy oh boy were we wrong. What made it worse was dreading that the friend or neighbor that you would have to call in as a favor to watch them will forget or not spend the time necessary each day. We were blessed for years to have neighbors across the hall who cared for our boys as much as we did (as we did for their 4 cats at the time), but there were always those few times a year where they weren’t available.
Enter Taryn. We were going away for a week and our friends were going to be away as well so in desperation I asked around to every cat owner I knew and it turned out our neighbor down the hall had been having Taryn take care of his cat for years. We greatly respect his opinion so gave Taryn a call. We were immediately impressed that she wanted to take the time to come over and meet our boys (and us) before we went away. We were also truly impressed by the very thorough survey she makes you complete before we left.
The minute you meet Taryn you can tell she is an incredibly caring and animal loving person. You instantly know that this is someone who is passionate about what she does and will take expert care of your animals as if they were her own.
While it is still hard to leave our boys, knowing they are in the expert care of Taryn and her crew makes it a million times easier. The real difference is when you return and you see how relaxed your pets are; you can tell they have really been cared for.
We can’t recommend Taryn and Brooklyn Cattitude enough! Truly incredible!

It was such a relief to know that our two cats (aka babies) were in good hands when we left on our recent honeymoon. Taryn helped us work out a schedule, and Keisha was so great about emailing updates on the girls. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Taryn is simply the best! We feel so lucky to have found her. We have used her cat-​sitting service 5 times now over that past 1 ½ years to watch our 2 feline babies and she has been great. Knowing that she is watching our cats gives us a great sense of security when we are away on vacation and we always know that they are being taken care of well. She is friendly, warm, professional, smart, and funny. We appreciate the detailed questionnaire that she sends to get all the right information, she really knows what she is doing. Our cats are our babies and we wouldn’t trust them with anybody else. Highly recommended!

They did an amazing job walking my big pooch. When he got back, the smile on his slobbering face and his happy wagging tale told the whole story. He will be going on his doggie walks with them every other day. Great job.

Taryn has assembled a wonderful team of experienced, compassionate and responsible pet sitters. I recently hired Brooklyn Cattitude at the last minute for a family emergency situation where I needed to help out with family matters for a week. I have special needs cats who require a variety of medical support: pills, injections, subcutaneous IV hydration. Many pet sitters will cringe when they hear about this labor-​intensive regimen, but Taryn rallied to help me. Before I left for my trip, Taryn brought key members of her team to my home, met my feline crew and mapped out a game plan for my cats’ care while I was away. While I was gone, a co-​worker dropped by, and ran into Brian (part of Taryn’s team) and was really impressed with Brian’s expertise, yet compassionate treatment of my cats. Brian stayed in touch with me daily (text messages), and always replied to every one of my (many) inquiries. (I worry about my fur kids.) I’ve already booked Taryn and her team for my next trip.

We absolutely love Taryn. She was recommended to us by our vet. She has truly been a lifesaver. We have one special needs cat that requires special food and medication (including IV fluids). Taryn has always been available when we’ve needed her and we always come home to a happy cat.

Taryn and her team are everything you could ask for in a cat sitter. Taryn has been looking after our cats since we moved to Brooklyn a year ago. The first impression Taryn made was one of simultaneously complete professionalism and competence while at the same time conveying warmth, empathy and genuine love for all the cats in her care.
Taryn’s intake was thorough. We completed her comprehensive questionnaire that asked many important questions that may not have occurred to us on our own and then she scheduled a home visit where she made sure that she knew absolutely everything that she needed to know in order to look after our cats.
It’s wonderful to be able to go away for a trip knowing that your cats will be well cared for by people who are as knowledgeable and committed to the care of our cats as Taryn and her team. Although we have every confidence that they are in the best possible care it still is very reassuring to receive the photos and text message updates. Our two Maine Coons have very different personalities and very different emotional needs. The updates we receive give us all the confidence we need that they are being cared for by people who know and understand them as unique individuals and are doing so much more for them than just addressing their material needs.
Taryn cares for our cats when we go away, in every sense of the word.

We are so pleased to join the chorus of Brooklyn cat owners singing Taryn’s praises! She has been beyond wonderful to work with. She is incredibly responsible, professional, communicative, and caring. When we go out of town, we know that our cat is in excellent hands and that we will get reassuring text messages letting us know that everything is on track. And if ever anything needs our attention, we know we can count on Taryn to let us know, just like we can count on her to ask the questions she needs answered to take the best possible care of our cat. That is always a relief in the midst of the inevitably frantic last moments before a trip.
When our cat was diagnosed with diabetes (five weeks after we had a baby!), Taryn was right there to help us feel like we could still manage and even still occasionally get out of town. Since then, she has continued to go above and beyond in every way — keeping up with changing insulin doses, finding a wet food that our finicky cat enjoys, and showering him with cuddles and attention. We can’t recommend Taryn highly enough!

I wish I’d known Taryn years ago.
Everytime we go on vacation, our number one worry has been who would take care of our two maine coon boys. We’ve rotated between leaving them with relatives or having friends stay over but it’s a lot to ask, and sometimes they just don’t get it– why our instructions are so detailed, all the rules, and most of all the fact that these guys need more than just two meals a day and fresh water-​they deserve respect, affection, and someone who understands them.
A week before our trip to Italy, I decided that my friend who was going to stay over while we were gone wasn’t the best fit and I needed to try and find someone else.
There were a number of reasons why we chose Taryn:
1) From the moment we met her, I could tell that she actually really, honestly, cared about our boys– when she came over for the meet and greet, you could tell it was love at first sight. She said she looked forward to taking care of them, and then right before we came back, told us how she’d miss seeing them everyday, and I believe it! Your pets reallydeserve to have someone with that kind of warmth taking care of them while you’re not around.
2) She was the first person we’d spoken with who didn’t make us feel guilty or crazy for writing detailed checklists and rules. When you take care of a pet everyday there are all sorts of things you internalize and trying to put all of that down and hoping another person will be able to take care of them to the same level can make you really anxious. Instead of looking at us like weirdos, she complemented us on our thoroughness.
3) Her business is focused almost exclusively on cats, and she has worked as a vet technician for a number of years. Unlike a friend or relative, or even some of the other cat sitters out there– if they’re sick or acting off while you’re away, she knows what to look for. That was another big plus.
4) Her rate for two visits a day, which you really should do, was very affordable compared to a lot of the other services.
We received regular texts and pictures while we were away, and knowing Taryn was there really made it possible to enjoy our time away and not worry about whether they were well cared for.
One of our guys, in particular, wears a shirt everyday to prevent him from scratching a spot on his back, and when she noticed he took it off (he’s multi-​talented), she actually went out and got him a better fitting t-​shirt as a gift. That’s a seriously nice thing to do.
If you’re trying to decide who to watch your cat when you’re our for a few days or a few weeks, you can’t go wrong with Taryn. And if you’re one of those people who dreads vacations because you don’t know who you can trust to watch your pets, you owe it to yourself to give her a call.

Taryn and Cattitude are beyond amazing. They have taken care of our two cats numerous times (including a two week-​plus stint!) and we arrive home to find happy and well-​cared for cats. Taryn is very patient with my incessant need for updates and always puts my mind at ease. You can tell she just loves cats and is one of the nicest, coolest people you will ever meet.

Taryn is so awesome! We needed a last minute sitter for a trip out of the country and Taryn took excellent care of our kitties! The photos put my mind at ease while away, and it’s such a relief to know your animals are in good hands. She even adjusted our A/​C so the cats would be comfortable and watered our plants. You simply could not find a better cat sitter, I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

Taryn is terrific! She took such great care of our two cats while we were away, and she even became buddies with the one who always hides under the bed. She is extremely professional and we feel really lucky to have found her.
