Meet the Business Owner
Sergio H.
Business Owner
Sergio grew up in Bogota, Colombia until the age of 10. He always loved every type of food he could get his hands on and everything and anything his family would cook. Sergio started cooking in restaurants as a summer job in high school since he was 15 years old, and after college continued on this path which ultimately led him to Vermont, where he ended up working in cheese and specialty food distribution. Sergio moved to New York City in 2004, where he met Francine Stephens and Andrew Feinberg, who had just opened Franny’s. The trio immediately connected over their love of great food and their passion for pristine ingredients at their peak.
Sergio runs and operates Bklyn Larder at 228 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope. Along with his partners and management team, he personally selects all the cheeses, meats and grocery items and tastes and develops recipes with Bklyn Larder’s chef for all the prepared foods sold at the counter.
