Bought a Poundex bed from them, it broke within 3 months. I called them and they immediately told me I shouldn’t have moved the bed around and that’s why it broke(common!). They eventually said they’d send somebody out after I argued. Then they call back and say they need the receipt, which I no longer had, and they said they don’t keep copies. Run, order online!

My good friend brought me here after having a good experience with these guys. I was looking for a nice dresser and a loft bed for my new apartment and she said they had great looking furniture and would give me a great deal – so I did end up picking a lovely floor model dresser for a big chunk off – it was slightly damaged but hardly noticeable, and I picked out what I though was an adult loft bed which was fairly pricey, but they gave me a deal on the 2 if I paid cash so I did set up a COD. Now comes the bad part, the delivery. On the arranged day and time window I got no call or confirmation until 30 min before the time was up – They said 1 hour from then. 3 hours later still nothing and I could not reach them after trying 20−25x. Hopeless and dejected I gave up. They finally called at almost 10 pm and were«sorry.» I was pissed and in my opinion rightfully so. We arranged for another day that wasn’t very convenient for me but I had to take it, having been given the promise of a «really nice present I will love and want to use.» I thought it would be a set of stairs for the bed that were additional that I didn’t get, which would have been appropriate for ruining my day previously. The next delivery came about 15 min late-no biggie but they came with – get this – a dirty opened package with a mattress pad inside that looked used. I was totally insulted and called them. I was called horrible names and treated worse than I ever have been in my life by a retailer. I was shocked and wanted to cancel the deal but I needed it and felt bad for the nice delivery guys. They set up the bed and at 6’2 it was a joke-it came up to the lower part of my chest I barely would be able to even sit under there. I was told I would be able to stand or almost stand under it. I swear. Well that did it. I told the boys to take it back! I kept the dresser and gave them a tip. They said some stuff(which I won’t repeat on here to protect them) about their boss but after an exhaustive time wasting battle I still feel I won by getting a great dresser without any kindness or appreciation of my hard earned money from these guys. NEVER again!!! Be warned. They seemed nice but man – it takes a lot to rattle me but these guys are terrible people – or at least they were to me for no reason. 0 stars!

I purchased a closet, a desk and 2 night stands from this shop. I was going to buy the night stands at ikea, since they were cheaper, and install them myself but the salesperson told me to buy it from them. He said that if I install furniture myself, then the boss wont cover anything if it is damaged during installation. Agreeing to these terms, I proceeded to order the furniture. When I had it delivered on Saturday, the boss sent only one installation guy for a 3 hr job(usually shops send more.) The installer, damaged the finish on both my closet and my desk and took 3 hrs to do the job(in addition to asking me for help with some of the stuff.) He asked to borrow a knife in order to cut the boxes open, I gave it to him as per his request, not realizing that the boxes were labeled«not to be cut by a knife.» After installation, I pointed the scratches out to him and he said«dont worry about it, Ill touch it up tomorrow»(why would I want touched up furniture when I paid for NEW furniture.) After he left, I ran a light on the desk. The desk was filled with hundreds of microscopic scratches, scratches that could have only appeared after use or very serious neglect by the installer(he had all his tools on the desk as he was installing the furniture.) In addition, the inside of the doors of the closet had scratches starting from the hinges(his hand must have split as he was tightening some of them.) I waited till the next morning to call the installer and ask when he will come for the touch up, he said maybe monday. I then went to go speak to the owner of the store and he denied fault for the mistake. I explained to him that it wasn’t my fault and showed him pictures. of all the scratches. He denied fault and said that he wont cover it. He will just touch up, I explained that he needs to replace the damaged panels, as per his salesmans promise but again he refused. The following day, I spoke to the salesman again and he again assured me that the store has to replace the pieces. He had me talk to the manager(he was at another store so I called him) who immediately refused(without even listening to what I have to say.) He kept saying«listen to my words, I said no.» I then said«Ok I will resolve this issue myself» and I hung up. 2 minutes later he calls me and says«dont you ever f*****g hang the phone up on me» and hangs up. I then went back to the salesman who told me to go see the manager in person and I did. The manager saw the pictures of the situation and said he didnt see any scratches, claiming that all the furniture automatically comes with gashes!!! Over all a terrible experience, I will seek BBB help or small claims court to get my panels replaced

On the recommendation of my long-trusted salesperson at Gothic Cabinet Craft I checked out Bedding Discounters looking for an upholstered accent chair. It’s a small store and there isn’t a lot of selection onsite but they do carry a LOT. The salesguys will sit down with you and show you a thick catalog. If you show them a photo of something you liked from somewhere else(Ashley, Raymour & Flanigan) they’ll find it in the catalog. They offer a good discount over the chain stores for the same furniture.
