Very poor customer service, ordered food through seamless, it was over an hour late and came wrong. The lady was very rude and unhelpful on the phone, said she had other customers to take care of. And then hung up!

So good. Had the Turkey Apple sandwich, it was delicious. They have the best French fries around!

If it weren’t because I had my CUPS app, I wouldn’t have returned here for a second time. First time I came here, I ordered a latte, it tasted like straight up milk. Great. Came back again a second time because I it was one of the few coffee shops in the neighborhood that accepted the app. The male barista first of all, was RUDEASHELL. I ordered an ice latte and he tells me I don’t know what plan you have but I don’t see it. It’s the simplest drink, so I handed him my phone and said you can select whichever you want then. He did and threw my phone on the table instead of handing it back to me and unwillingly gave me my ice latte. To the owner of Barcey’s, the app is not FREE. I paid for my coffee and would appreciate it if your workers weren’t so rude about it. There’s no reason to return when the drinks here are one, not good. Two, exceptionally rude customer service. Please have a meeting with your baristas, they have a long way of training to go through.

Love this place. Coffee’s great. Menu options are solid. Somewhat pricey but not bad compared to similar types of places nearby.

So glad to have a great version of eggs bene delivery ready! Their delivery was prompt, friendly, and clean(nothing sloshed around). I got the smoothies as well. They really know their culinary arts. If you a breakfast person like I am, definitely look them up on Eat 24!

My boyfriend and I had an immense craving for ramen and are harsh as it gets when it comes to reviewing ramen, but this place surprisingly satisfied our craving. Did not expect there to be an amazing ramen spot so close by. Pork was amazing, the ramen broth was so comforting and full of umami. The noodles were perfect. Definitely look forward to stopping by in person next time to try the rest of the menu.

I don’t like to go to the new wave of gentrifying coffee shops in Bushwick and Ridgewood, but I was desperate tonight. Well, I learned my lesson because I didn’t even get to try the coffee or the scone. There is a *$ 10* minimum on cards and they have an expensive ATM for you to get cash out so THEY can make more money. Minimums are technically against the customer agreement with the business AND. They are also super unfriendly to customers. The silliest bit was that girl had already poured my coffee so when I said no to the minimum and the extortionist ATM, she ended up throwing the coffee out along with the the cup, the lid, and the holder, which probably cost about as much as the fee would have. Also guess they sell day-old scones because there’s no way they are selling 7 of them in the next 45 minutes!

Id really rather give this like, 1.7 stars, as I think 2 is a bit too much cred. Ive been going to this place for almost 2 years. I used to think most of their problems were limited to one or two baristas on staff, but its really endemic to the whole establishment. The main problem I have is ordering a particular style of coffee, and getting something completely different, yet being charged for the more expensive of the two. Its actually rare that they get my order right, and its usually unbearably simple. I dont know how many times Ive ordered something like a Mocha Latte, and I end up with a Café au lait. The only barista that can get my order right is the owner of the café. Everyone else gets it wrong, even after repeating the order back to me verbatim. Also, it often takes an unreasonable amount of time to make simple things. I can be the only person in the café, and it will still take the barista like 4 minutes to get a cup of coffee ready. Then there are the prices — flat out pretentious. Its average quality for a premium price at a slow pace(assuming you got what you ordered). The $ 14(after tax) charge for some ramen would be more agreeable around $ 8. Everything on their menu is 1.5−2x higher than it should be. They also charge unreasonably high prices for non-dairy additives to coffee, like almond milk or something(dont expect nothin’ fancy like hemp milk now). Then again, pretentious price for mediocre quality has become the norm for new places in bushwick, so go figure. The food is OK at best. The ingredients arent(come on, no organic tofu? no organic meat options? its 2016 people…). Takeout will have everything in cheap, non food grade plastic, which means you get lots of plastic leeching into your hot food. The last time I ordered takeout, the soup came in a container that was split open at the top, and I guess they compensated by wrapping it in plastic wrap(yay even more BPA for me!), which got into my soup, and did nothing to prevent it from getting all over its bag or burning my hands a little bit. There are other problems Ive had that arent exactly their fault, like stressed out hospital workers, or shitty tourists that really dont mind how bad theyre disturbing other people’s space. Though, one time, while I was verbally giving an order to the barista, some french tourist literally shoved their face in front of me and shouted over me and demanded their order in horribly broken english — the bad part being the barista just started responding to whomever was loudest, and put me in second place. People that work there are friendly and nice, Ill give them that. Theyre reasonable if you bring things back to them that were incorrectly made or simply the wrong order, but aint nobody got time for that. I basically just resorted to making my own coffee for a long time, as I gave up on this place a while ago. Started trying them out again after a few weeks, and yeah, still cant handle getting the simplest thing I order correct. Basically, just order plain black coffee, they usually get that right. Ill give Barcy’s a few more tries in a few months, or perhaps Im done forever.

Barcey’s I want to like you so bad. Great menu, friendly service, cute place, but just can’t go here anymore. Take out food often takes a half hour or more, even when just a sandwich or a bagel with cream cheese. Coffee is ok, but the menu can’t save the slow service or the high prices. Today was the last time I’ll be going. Ordered a Barcey’s club to go, a friend ordered the same about 2 minutes later. Mine came out about 15 minutes before hers, both of us waited about a half hour for our food. Finally got home to open it up and find I’d been given a breakfast burrito, which by that time was mushy. Totally my own fault for not checking while waiting as I should have, but by the time I got home and realized the mistake I just did not want to go back and wait another half hour for the correct sandwich. Sad to not have had better experiences but I’ll be getting my breakfast elsewhere from now on.

It’s disappointing that I have to walk 4 blocks to a decent coffee shop when I have one that’s 400 feet from my doorstep.

I hate writing bad reviews, but don’t be an idiot like me and order delivery from this place. It took nearly two hours(yes, two!!) to get my order. I could have taken a train into the city, eaten, and come back in that amount of time. That’s insane, given the quality of food from here isn’t very high.

I love Barcey’s. They are definitely extravagantly expensive for breakfast and lunch food(smoothie is $ 5.50. Egg, cheese, bacon croissant is $ 6.50) but the food is so great! The eggs Benedict have an atypical sauce(not exactly hollandaise) but they’re great! The Vietnamese sandwich is definitely not a banh mi but is also very tasty! It’s a very cute and quiet place to eat. They are reliable and quick with delivery. They also have a cute area out front where you can sit. They are also one of the few breakfast places in the area that is extremely respectful of dietary restrictions, for both delivery and eating in. I’ve never once gotten cheese on my sandwich when I asked for no cheese, or yogurt when I said no yogurt, etc.

Absolutely love this place! They make the BEST egg + cheeses, served fresh and warm on delicious soft bagels. If you’re looking for something to drink and like lattes, try their mocha or regular latte– my go-to! The women always working is very friendly and the lady that cooks is always smiling. A very overall nice laid back atmosphere with quick service. I really enjoy this place!

I want to like this place, I really do. The service is nice enough, and it’s close to my apartment, but the food is terrible and overpriced! First, the Barcey Club sandwich, which was very light on the meat, but SUPERHEAVY on the MAYO. I thought healthy-ish organic food was the craze these days, so why so much nasty sauce in my food? It made me sick to my stomach. I gave them another shot with a breakfast burrito and WOW it was bad. First off, the wrap was not fresh, second, the insides were lukewarm and the low-grade cheese wasn’t even melted, but what really sealed the deal was it was SLATHEREDINRANCHDRESSING. Again, are you guys trying to make me sick? Furthermore, they charge $ 10 for this monstrosity, which has NOMEAT or protein besides eggs. For $ 10 I could get a steak burrito from Chipotle, which would be more nutritious, filling, and definitely more delicious. At best, this would be worth $ 6. It’s a shame because the vibes are nice enough, and the coffee is ok. Guess I’ll be sticking with Cypress Inn for a while longer.

I ordered delivery from them on seamless and got the barceys club. I was chewing the sandwich and noticed something really hard to chew that i thought was maybe bacon. I thankfully pulled it out of my mouth to see what it was: it was metal staples! Honestly, I’ve ordered from this place before and never had problems until now. I called them immediately when this happened, and yes, they were sorry as they should be and asked what they could do for me. I just asked for a new sandwich but they really should have offered me a full refund without me having to ask. This type of thing can put you outta business.

This place unpretentiously serves good brunch. I’ve been here once so far, and although they can refine their dishes a bit, they’ve got brunch down. No wait times, no loud hipsters — just coffee, good food and a cute reading nook tucked away in the back. We had the veggie burger and an egg, ham and cheese crossaint. The crossaint sandwich could’ve used more eggs(or fluffier eggs) it was just way too thin. The cheese and ham were cold too, a quick press on the grill would’ve done the trick. But that veggie burger? Ohhhhhh that veggie burger was… how can I put this… out of this world. It was soo tender and full of flavor. Just perfect. 10/10, will order again. It came with fries which were also really good. Their raspberry lemonade was a bit sweet but refreshing and the iced coffee was OK. I personally prefer strong coffee flavor to karate chop through the milk and ice and knock me right in the taste buds.

I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich and this thing was incredible. Giant panko breaded chicken, soft brioche, fresh asian coleslaw and cilantro– tasty as F*CK. Their fries are super good too, very very fresh and arrived hot and crispy. They put sesame and nori salt on these which is a nice twist. I’ve had two delivery experiences with them and they have come much quicker than expected, my food came in 20 minutes! Great coffee and tasty breakfast or lunch delivered to your door while it’s still hot. This is what all delivery in Bushwick should aspire to be. these guys are KILLINGIT. this is now my go-to in the area.
