This is totally MY KIND OF FASHION!!! A little but pricey but at least you are not wearing H&M…
Perfume, candle, jewelry, cloths… small store but everything is really nice.
I would recommend to anyone. The customer service is really good and even if the selection isn’t huge. you can find something to wear. The only bad thing about this place is that cloths are sold out pretty quickly. Also I had some problem ordering online because I live in North Brooklyn I just had to move my lazy butt to come to Cobble Hill, ahaha

I miss Dear Fieldbinder. The clothing and shoes of the previous incarnation of this boutique by the same owners, were better quality and of more interesting designers. This was the place in my neighborhood where I would go to buy something great to wear to a wedding at a campground or a new years eve party, or when I was in the need of sandals that were really comfortable and looked 1940s. I have some wonderful staples from DF from over the past 6 years! The price point was more moderate to kind of expensive, but never over the top. I just can’t shop here any longer, it’s too sad, too boring in a trendy I can find this stuff anywhere kind of way… And the new name makes me cringe.

She has a fabulous eye for clothing — in every price range.
When this shop was «Dear Fieldbinder» it had lovely things albeit at the high end. When the owner decided to change the shop over to more affordable things, I wondered how that would work. Amazingly the clothes are just as beautiful and crave-​worthy, proving that a good eye and excellent taste prevail. I used to shop there occasionally. Now I go often. The result is I probably spend the same. Oh well…

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for about 4 years and had bought several items here — a great dress to wear to a wedding in Paris, my favorite pair of skinny corduroys, a few blouses, and a fabulous little black dress that worked for so many different occasions. They had an amazing selection and I was always extremely impressed with the variety. There was always something I could use, whether formal or casual.
However, when I walked into this store last week, looking for a dress to wear to a wedding, I was disappointed to find that they’ve trimmed their clothing selection down, gotten rid of some racks, and much less is available. There were more shoes, but there def wasn’t the same variety of apparel that I had found in the past. I definitely wasn’t able to find anything wearable to a wedding. So I was disappointed :(

This sweet collection is on my running route home, but as I am all hot & sweaty by the time I get here, I usually just break my neck and/​or trip on someone’s dog trying to get a look at the window display, which is always fabulous.
So yesterday I finally was walking by in normal shoes and clothes and had an upcoming business event burning a hole in the back of my mind, as I had no wardrobe staple to count on wearing for it. Stepped into Dear Fieldbinder and lo and behold, the perfect dress: professional but not business-​y, shapely but not clingy, unusual but understated, eye-​catching but not attention-​grabbing, ON SALE FOR $ 47, and still available in a normal size (M). I nearly fell over. Sold.
Lovely collection, friendly and helpful staff. I saw about three pairs of shoes, a dress and a pair of pants I also wanted to try on, but those will have to wait for another day.
Do not miss this place.

Ahhhh God help me, I want everything in this store. Seriously, one of the best edited selections I’ve ever seen. Beautiful things, flattering things, affordable things, magical things, wearable, classic, one-​of-​a-​kind things. I walked in during their big sale before the Spring merchandise starts coming in, and scored a gorgeous velvet dress with lace detailing for $ 70! They also sell super cool, sexy jewelry, candles, bags, and nail polish. I scooped up a yummy candle and a gorgeous red nail polish.
Plus, the woman who works there is super nice and I love their music selection.

as a giant gay I am host to a slew of amazing lady friends. When they come to visit me… I always pawn them off on D.F. ! As someone who also has owned his own boutiques I can say that there mark-​up is very fair, their selection is very well executed and the staff is that perfect combo of best friends meets afficianado. I guess my only complaint is that they haven’t yet opened a mens division.
If you are into a look that is quality, minimal with maximum appeal this is your store. A look that says european chic — but in a realistic way – again — this store wins.

Drop Prices, Not Bombs? Come on, people. I work next door and every time I walk past this irksome and nonsensical window display my heart barfs in its mouth, and then I have to go to work with heartbarf freefloating somewhere between my lungs and whatever else is inside there, and this does not a fun shift make.
Also, if I feel that contextually, 68 dollars for a white tee shirt is a good bargain, there is something wrong.

OH. MY. GOD.
Perfection perfection. All their clothing is «affordable» (i.e. almost all shirts/​blouses under $ 200), but WELL CURATED and gorgeous. The selection is so magnificent that I actually gasped with shock when I saw a tanktop I could actually afford, because of my immediate presumption of how prices would be from the quality/​design. You know this is quality when that happens.

So I came back and here are the price breakdowns:
Tops: Average $ 150
Dresses: Average $ 390
Still pricey, but if you have the cash to burn at that moment, the selection is well curated enough that you can walk blindly through the store, randomly grab, and come out golden. This is my new favorite store for wardrobe gems, done and done.

I’ve never shopped for anyone at Dear Fieldbinder, but I used to live down the street and would frequently find myself pausing to admire the fantastic window displays they put together and rotate on a regular basis. Nobody in New York can touch D.F.‘s understated elegance here. And I don’t even care about fashion!
It sounds a little cheezy, but (at least for me) this place adds a whole new dimension to the art of WINDOW SHOPPING.

If I had the money to spend on a new item of clothing everyday (and some days it appears that I already believe this is the case!), I would definitely make several purchases at Dear Fieldbinder.
I love this store. The owner is usually there and she has a great eye for quality and beautifully stylish, yet completely functional pieces. I bought my current handbag here on sale. If you can catch a sale, you will make off like a bandit (but look like a princess.)

This place has amazing window displays. They look like a drugstore from the forties, but instead of being filled with Bril-​crème and Borax, they have amazing clothes and inventive signage.
My girlfriend assures me that the dresses are awesome. I trust her. They look cool to me, but what do I know? She knows about this stuff, and confirms my suspicions: They have great clothes here.
