I’ve been coming to Anor Spa for a little over a year and I loooove it. My experience with Charos doing my facials has been nothing less than amazing. Before finding Anor Spa I used to go to a another very good aesthetician, but unfortunately she moved back to her country, which is how I found Charos! I have a lot of under the skin blackheads and clogged pores and Charos has made my skin less congested. I get a facial every month and have continuously seen an improvement. The facial lasts about and hour, and you get a mini head massage as well, which is great. She tells you every product she uses on you, (all natural) and does not try to push any products on you. Overall, I highly recommended facials at Anor Spa!

I went to this Spa for the first time this weekend for a facial and I fell in love. It’s small but super clean. Charos is amazing, gentle, and gives the best facials in New York. My skin feels so clean and plump, I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. It is definitely worth the trip if you live in another neighborhood, trust me.

The only place I will go for waxing in Brooklyn. I have lived in the neighborhood for a few years now, and have tried them all. This is such a fine small business. lovely people, exceptional service, clean and serene atmosphere. I always feel comfortable and welcome here.

Regardless how frequently I go, waxing never seems to get easier. I went tonight, for the first time in three months, and was in and out in 30 minutes with eyebrows, upper lip and bikini wax done. There were no tears and very little pain. I will never go anywhere else as long as I live in the NYC area. I already booked 3 more appointments to ensure that things get under control. The waxing is thorough and she shapes in addition to just removing hair. Even if you’re in Manhattan, I can’t recommend this spot enough. It’s beautiful!

I was looking for a place located in Cobble Hill and decided to give Anor Spa a try after reading all of the positive reviews.
At 8 months pregnant, I was pretty skeptical about a ‘painless’ Brazilian, but was utterly surprised with how tolerable my first waxing in 2 years was! Clara was so sweet and accommodated my high anxiety and very pregnant belly which had to be positioned lots of different ways so that I was comfortable. I had such a great experience that I went back again at 9 ½ months and had a COMPLETELY PAINLESS wax! I am so impressed by them that I have actually considered continuing bikini waxes after my pregnancy (I am a shaver except when it gets dangerous/​impossible during pregnancy…).
On top of that, I had the best ever eyebrow wax each time I went and will not go anywhere else now that I have found Anor Spa! Based on the knowledge of the 2 ladies that work there, I am dying to go back and try their facials post-​pregnancy! Amazing place!

Charos works magic… on your face. One of the best facials I’ve ever had and by far the best facial waxing ever.
She is super sweet, gentle, patient and knowledgeable. Her products are natural, non irritating and soothing. I especially love her Hungarian products made from fruits and veggies. Extractions are done as gently as possible and the ambiance is amazing.
I’ve been coming for about 4 years and won’t go anywhere else. My eyebrows can’t be trusted in other hands.
Her daughter is also super sweet and attentive :)
Super plus: she’s extremely accommodating and has seen me on short notice. And they serve the most delectable cookies. Divine!

I adore Anor Spa. I’ve been a loyal customer for two years and would never go anywhere else. The waxing is nearly painless and Charos is incredibly thorough. The facials here are also divine. I always leave so calm and relaxed with beautifully rejuvenated skin.

Hands down the BEST facial I have ever received. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. As an adult woman who battles acne Anor Spa is heaven. Not only is it a great facial but also very fairly priced. Highly recommend!

I won’t get waxed anywhere else. Anor is tiny, but clean, cozy and relaxing. Charos uses only the best products and her prices are comparable, if not better, than other local salons.

This is my first review ever on Unilocal,but that’s because it is totally deserved. I’ve been a client at Anor spa for over a year and I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile because Anor never disappoints. Anyone that gets brazilian waxes on a regular basis knows that once you find a good place, you found YOUR place. Charos, her daughter, and the other woman at the desk are ALWAYS friendly, helpful, patient, and professional. The process is as quick and painless as can be and the prices are reasonable. The spa is always clean and tranquil and even though it’s tiny I never feel like my privacy is being violated. I go only every 6 – 8 weeks now and Charos still asks me questions about previous conversations we’ve had– pretty impressive when you’re as busy as she is.
I tried a few different places in NYC and this is hands down, the best. I just moved up to East Harlem and I will absolutely still be making the trip to Brooklyn Heights to see her and try some of Anor’s other services.

I can’t believe I found a waxing place I love! Very reasonably priced, they treat you like royalty and almost painless waxing tailored to your skin type and any allergies you may have. I left with an upper lip smelling like roses and insanely soft — has lasted a good 5 weeks, and is just starting to grow in. awesome!

I was looking for an alternative to help clear my problematic skin. I’m 25 and I have combination oily acne prone skin and it’s been a struggle to keep the break outs under control. For a couple of months I’d have clearish skin and for the next several months all hell would break loose. I’ve had a facial done before when I was younger and it was the worst experience of my life. It left a sour taste in my mouth and turned me off from facials since than. But I was getting desperate so I decided to go get a facial since my research showed a lot of people saw clearer skin after.
Customer service at Anor Spa is phenomenal. It’s easy to schedule an appointment and they are willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. Charos, the owner, is wonderful. I cannot say enough about her to really make you understand how amazing she is. The first visit she thoroughly examined my skin and asked questions about my diet and lifestyle to fully understand what maybe the underlying cause of my breakouts. As she proceeds with the facial she tells you exactly what she is doing and how the products she is using will benefit your skin.
In total I’ve gotten three facials from her and my skin has improved drastically. I still experience a hormonal blemish here and there but they are nothing compared to what I experienced in the passed. I haven’t tried any of their other services yet but I definitely am looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer.
I absolutely highly recommend everyone to check them out, especially if you suffer from problematic skin. I already recruited my dad to get a facial here and he enjoyed the results. I’m also planning to bring my mom for Mother’s Days and my boyfriend for our anniversary to get facials too and I’m sure they will have an amazing time relaxing!

Excellent customer service and a very nice atmosphere. This place is small but it’s clean and well maintained, what else can you ask for?! The prices are fair and Charos, the owner, does a great job. I’ve only been for the facials not waxing, and each time I walked out feeling like a million bucks. She’s very friendly and never pushes you to buy a service or product. You can come and go as you please.

About two years ago I was referred to Anor Spa by a friend who was bragging about their facial and wax services. I got a facial and loved it. Every step of the the process was explained to me and the products used were great for my skin. She also does not push products on you and is very honest. She told me straight that I didn’t need anything else at this point. Other places have tried to sell me everything.
I just recently started getting waxed there and can’t believe I was missing out all these years simply because I was afraid. Charos makes the experience very relaxing as she carries on a friendly conversation. I was afraid because of the horror stories I have heard about waxing in general so I started with an underarm wax, eventually went onto half leg, then a bikini and now trust her with all of the above and a Brazilian.
I’m very picky about where I go so trust me when I say, Charos is the real deal and you will not have a better experience for both your facial and waxing needs elsewhere.

I no longer live in the neighborhood, but one of the things I miss most about Cobble Hill is Charos at Anor Spa. She is one of the nicest, most down to earth person I’ve ever met and she just happens to be an extremely skilled waxer.
Seriously ladies (and gents), it is the most pleasant experience as far as waxing goes. I won’t say it’s painless, but it’s definitely one of the least painful brazilian bikini wax jobs I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). Even while pregnant the pain was minimal. Much better than Shobha in Manhattan, which was previously my go to spot. Needless to say this salon does NOT double dip.
I really can’t say enough about Charos. She works extremely hard and will try her best to fit you in last minute if you can’t plan in advance (ahem…me). One time she let me come AFTER closing time and didn’t rush the job at all! We always have such nice conversations about my family and hers and the time just flies by. Before I know it I’m bare as the day I was born and on my merry way.

Charos is the best: thorough, kind, and calming. I don’t go anywhere else for my waxing needs.
She is always on time, always patient, and always makes me feel comfortable.

I came here recently for a facial and I will probably return.
It’s a small space and the walls are very thin, but its clean and the owner and the other lady that works there is very pleasant.
Prices are decent too and the products smell amazing.
