Amigo US Phone Rental

Ho. Ri. Blah! We rented a sim card (3FF) which was supposed to have a US number attached to it, but day 2 after effective activation date, still NADA…
Ordered the sim over the phone, requested next day delivery, PAID THE 60! fee — yeah, for a tiny little sim card — and next day? Nothing! Called them and got the — Oh so sorry, we’ll send today, and refund your fee. OK… that’s good, but where’s my SIM? I get it next day.
Next, I try– bupcus. «Oh no, it won’t work till you’re in Israel». Okay, I can understand that… but now in Israel, and only the Israeli number works, the US number that’s supposed to be attached to the SIM is MIA!
Called, again, the oh are you sure you’re dialing it right? Seriously?!? They tried at first, claiming it was working for them, but then all of a sudden, changed tunes. «Don’t worry, we’ll call you — there’s a glitch in the system» Three hours after that convo, I called to inquire what gives? «Oh it’s not our fault. we’ve started a thing with the carrier… we’ll let you know when we know»
OK BUT THAT DOESN’T WARM MY COCKLES. I just bet on the wrong horse… that’s it. And the customer service needs to be continuously prodded to do anything about… anything. Communication is null!
Pretty disappointing!!!

I really don’t write a lot of reviews, but I definitely have to for Amigo US.
I was veryyy skeptical about hidden fees, customer service, etc. but they are AMAZING. i use them anytime i go international now, and I’ve never had any issues.
The phone arrives very timely, in good condition and the best part is the PRICES.
I’ve gone to several countries for 8 — 10 days at a time, unlimited data and texts, and aloottt of phone calls to the US, and my bill has been insanely cheap.
I highly, highly recoomend. These guys are awesome, and you really cant beat the price.

Researched a few options, and ended up going with these guys for phone rental on a recent one week trip to Israel — everything went smoothly.
— Phone arrived a few days ahead of my departure
— Worked perfectly in Israel
— No unexpected charges — I did quite a bit of texting while there, and my final invoice had only a small addition for this — exactly consistent with the plan as listed, didn’t seem to be any fine print or hidden fees
— Price in general very reasonable
— Sent back to them in the same box on return, and promptly got confirmation they received the phone, and my invoice shortly after
They are totally on top of their game in respect to customer service as well — had a question about the shipping and was able to reach them at their NY office on the first ring, with no wait, person I talked to was very helpful /​friendly.
I would definitely recommend using these guys if you’re looking for a phone rental for Israel. Having the phone mailed to me was much easier than having to deal with it once I got to the airport, especially since already had to wait in car rental line, customs, etc. (Also I landed on a Saturday and just about everything in the airport looked to be closed or thinly staffed, was nice to not have to tak

I used Amigo many times for cell phone service to Israel and found the service to be great.
Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend
