AOSB offers aikido programs for children starting at age 4, teenagers, and adults. Adult classes focus on aikido’s techniques, applications, and principles, as well as the personal development that is possible through martial arts training. Children’s classes (ages 4 – 5) and youth classes (ages 6 – 12) focus on developing coordination, concentration, and cooperation through aikido techniques, exercises, and games in a safe, non-competitive environment. Teens’ classes (ages 11 – 15) provide teenagers an opportunity to train with students their own age and size. Teens may attend the teens’ classes, as well as youth and/or adult classes (at the discretion of AOSB instructors). New students may start any time. Our next beginner’s course for adults starts January 4, 2016. Visit our website for more information.

AOSB is a member of the Aikido World Alliance (AWA), an international association of dojo headed by Andrew Sato Shihan (shihan is a title translated as «teacher of teachers»). The AWA is directly affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
