Okay I know I gave them a bad review before but they changed my mind the printed my headshot in very high quality this time .And it’s right around the corner so it’s very convenient.

Just charged me $ 1.70 to print two pieces of paper. I came in with a .PDF on a USB drive, and they had a copy machine that took USB drives. But they insisted I use one of their computers; they said it was just a lot easier that way, and the copy machine wasn’t self-​service.
So I used one of their machines. Then, when it came time to pay, they charged me a dollar for the time I spent on the computer (opening a file, pressing print).
I know it’s only a dollar, but they conned me! There was a cheaper, easier way, and they straight up lied to my face. It’s pretty frustrating.
Also, it didn’t matter for what I needed, but the copies did come out looking pretty bad –at $.35 each, they should come out looking great.
Here’s a tip: if you need to print something, the Brooklyn library is a much better deal.

I’ve had a couple missteps here since it first opened — I pretty much only use Ace for printing. There have been a number of times I have been in here and the printer has been broken. I’m usually in a hurry when I come in here and it’s been less dependable lately.
the price of copies is really unreasonable for regular use — i printed 30 b/​w pages and paid $ 12.
the last few times I’ve been in here it has appeared that I know more about the printer than the person working at the desk.

HORRIBLE customer service. I simply needed to print two cover letters on thick paper and the computers weren’t linked to the printer. When he finally suggested I use another computer, the letter printed out with two different shades of ink — totally crappy and not at all something I would ever send out with my name on it. I decided to leave and the man didn’t even apologize or thank me for coming in. DONT go here.

This review only applies if you NEED TO HAVE YOUR HOUSEHOLD PRINTER REPAIRED. The few times I’ve been to the store, I witnessed excellent help at the counter from Matilda (sp?), a very honorable and well meaning young lady. I’ve seen her, and another employee, help out the patrons using their computers beyond what you’d expect from a small business.
However, I drove a long way to Ace Copy & Print to have my Canon inkjet printer repaired. If you’re looking to repair your printer, you may have noticed that it’s hard to find a place to turn to. Many places that repair electronics don’t do printers for whatever reason.
I brought my printer in to them on 11/​5, paid a non-​refundable $ 50 deposit, called a few days later and was told it hadn’t yet been fixed. Fine. I got a call a few days after that saying that it was fixed and I should pick up. When I arrived at the store, I found that the charge would only be $ 50, which I thought to be a bargain, and I was thrilled. However, when I plugged the machine into one of their outlets (figured I’d just double-​check before leaving!), I found the very same flashing light error code still there. It wouldn’t take in any paper or go any further than turning on. It was frustrating to go all the way back there only to find that the printer was said to have been fixed, but was NOT. Since there was no manager present, Matilda spoke with the owner via telephone. He said I should leave the printer there and he’d make sure that the «good techie» look at the machine in the next couple of days. Unfortunately, they had a techie who wasn’t quite that reliable look at my printer. :(I left empty handed.
Days later, I had to call and chase down my printer. When I showed up and it still wasn’t working, I was pretty angry. I simply wanted my money and printer back in my hands. Shawn, the owner, was called to the counter and he checked out the machine and verified that it wasn’t working; however, Shawn said that he could not refund my money because of some kind of $ 25 surcharge. He thought I had taken the printer home and then realized it wasn’t working. He said «How do I know what happened to the printer when you had it with you before bringing it back here?» My answer? «Easy… the thing never even left your store. I plugged it in right over there, next to the counter.» He tried another couple of maneuvers, and I wasn’t having them. He told me that they just started this service and they’re new to it, so they had to work out some bugs, but he wanted one more chance to fix the thing. We agreed that, if he couldn’t repair it, he’d refund my $ 50, but because I was so pissed at having to travel about 15 — 20 miles in traffic to his place each time, he would have to drop it off where I work in Long Island City.
About a week later, an employee returned my call and said it could not be repaired, so Shawn would drop it off at my place of business that Wednesday. Unfortunately, Shawn never even called that Wednesday. The following week, it was the same thing… he was supposed to drop it off that Tuesday. Again, he never called or showed.
His assistant, Andrea, was embarrassed and dropped off the still-​broken printer by my place of business and refunded my money this evening, one month after I dropped it off to be repaired.
I would recommend that the place stick to what it does best and get out of the repair business. It’s not just that they couldn’t repair the printer (and I do believe it can be repaired, they just didn’t know how to do it and weren’t willing to put in the time and effort to contact Canon, etc.)… my biggest problem with the place was the inconsideration and the way Shawn handled my problem initially, as well as the poor communication on his part. As I said, the folks working the day to day business are great, parking is easy right outside on the street, and if that’s all you need, you should be fine.

Great quality printing and great service. I was OK accepting lower quality but JP insisted on doing extra work so that I could use the better printer and it looks so much better. Highly recommend!

It took me a while to find the place. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful, for what I needed the price were cheap. I will return again !!!

Came into Ace for the first time today. The lady at the desk was very nice, and very helpful. I did a terrible job using the paper cutter, and she came to the rescue. Plus, they had some tasty swing music in the background. I will be back.

Good people. Mo complaints other than thr computer was slow one day that I went. Its a new place. They seem to be getting better at everything.
