My absolute favorite place in Greenpoint. Great food and cheap! Try the nachos with chorizo – Jesus Tapdancing Christ – they are so good.

I’ve probably put their kids through college with the amount of times I’ve eaten here. It is what it is, Mexican food done right and what it should be, inexpensive. Take out always made it back to work complete and if you sit down, drink a beer(or ten) in a frozen mug to your favorite telenovela.

Best Mexican in NYC. Been going there for 20 years. Unpretentious, fresh food that’s exactly what Mexican cuisine is all about.

Huge portions of decent food but what’s up with the hours? I headed down there at 11AM this past Sunday and the gate was down — they weren’t even close to open. Update the website accordingly if you’re away or the hours have changed.

So I was craving some charritos from Hoboken but I’m in Brooklyn so his seemed like the next best thing. I avoided another Mexican place because the reviews complained about a bad waitress. So I show up here and ended up with exactly what I was tying to avoid. I didn’t get a name but the older woman was cold and I didn’t like her, she was not only rude to me but another customer that was here also. I give this place 4 stars because there is a younger waitress, Emily, that is very professional and sweet, I like her better that’s why they get 4 stars. In regards to the food, meh. Next time I crave charritos, I’m headed to Charritos.

This place was recommended to us by my cousin, who happens to come here often! I gotta say I was not disappointed. It was really good and you can’t beat the prices. We had a steak fajita, a carnitas burrito and a Milanesa sandwich along with some was delicious. Very tasty and satisfying. And the plates are pretty big. I was so busy enjoying myself I forgot to take a pic. Cute little place with great food!

I come here for lunch at least once a week, and the food & service are superb. The food is fresh and cooked just right. I always get a chicken milanesa torta or vegetable tostadas with additional avocado. Generous portions, and every bite is delicious. I love everything about this place.

Pretty good food, massive portions, very friendly staff. It’s a casual place, doesn’t take card(last I checked anyway, there might just be a minimum), but definitely a great place for a cheap lunch.

Best food in town! I’ve coming here for the past 12 years and they never let me know. I feel empty when they close for their mini vaca. Steak burrito and tacos al carbon are to die for!

I love authentic Mexican joints that serve a great deal of delicious food for no cost at all. This is that place in Greenpoint. My go-to is a skirt steak platter with a heaping amount of rice, beans, and salad. We also get a huge pile of guac and chips to start as well. With an ice cold Mexican beer, it’s a meal you can’t beat. Although I’ve never ordered anything other than Mexican cuisine from here, they seem to offer a menu similar to that of your local diner, which is accommodating if someone at your table isn’t in the mood for mexi or chips with guac. Let’s be real though… I don’t have friends like that. ;) Décor is fitting for the neighborhood and fits in really well. No fancy pants here folks.

I came here at 9 on a Saturday and they were closed! They don’t close at 10 as advertised.

Love this spot. Food is always fresh, service is good, and great value. Favorites are the Huaraches(chicken and steak in particular), burritos(fork style), and tacos. And I still haven’t gotten to try most of the menu!

This place seems to be a popular joint amongst the locals. I did not know what to expect walking in since it was kind of dimly lit and it looked like a grocery store. Not to mention the dominoes table set up outside. This is the true definition of a hidden gym. After a long day of hanging around LIC, I drove across the Pulaski Bridge in search of tacos. I was not disappointed, Acapulco is ridiculously cheap for the amount of food you get. Each taco was massive and packed with juicy al pastor. I also got the breaded chicken torta which was equally delicious.

As a summer transplant to Greenpoint, I’m trying to make my money stretch and still enjoy good food. After reading several Unilocal reviews about how awesome Acapulco was, my boyfriend and I grabbed dinner there this week. The place is definitely nothing fancy, but it works. We ordered a burrito each – me the chicken and him the chorizo. I had seen the photos, but these burritos were MASSIVE! So much so that we could have probably just split one and have been very satisfied. They didn’t come with gac, which another Unilocaler had shown, but honestly, the burritos were so good they didn’t need it – it would have just been an added bonus. At $ 7.25, you leave feeling full and still have some money left in your wallet.

Definitely a hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere. Food is cheap and comes out quickly as it is prepared right in front of your eyes. $ 6 gets you two large tacos that’s stuffed to the max with the meat of your choice. Homemade guacamole and freshly fried chips to munch on through the meal. You should check this place out if you’re in the neighborhood. It doesn’t get cheaper than this with mexican food.

Just happened to drop by when my friend and I where craving Mexican food— AMAZING!!! The food portion was insane – I couldn’t eat half of the food. They have an «A» which is great! The inside isn’t fancy but don’t get discouraged. The beer is served in a cold ice Glass and it forms icicles under the foam – Perfect for the Summer time. Fresh food and they make their own guacamole and fresh salsa – They have an extra special indigent that gives it the extra kick. Must Try!

Great authentic tacos in the area. Pretty try big for 2 for $ 6. Burritos are also very big at $ 7.50. Their guacamole is also pretty awesome. Check this place out if you’re craving some tacos. Much better than the other places in LIC. They don’t deliver to LIC by the way.
