Abel is an OUTSTANDING servicer and professional. He inspected and serviced a +25-​year old refrigerator for us. He was on time, and very thorough in rejuvenating our refrigerator. I will recommend him to friends and family.

I highly recommend Abel for any clothes washing machine repair. I called in the early afternoon and he came over later that same day at 6pm (as I requested) to fix my washing machine that was not activating the drain and spin cycle. Abel quickly pinpointed the problem with the wiring of the timer and re-​wired the existing part with a «new combination» to make it work again. He also checked other parts on the machine and reassured me they are in good shape. The machine was working efficiently within an hour from the start of the appointment. Before he was done he made sure to put it back together so all the parts lined up, and then tested each wash cycle. He also provided a warranty.

Our refrigerator broke down on Saturday evening right after buying over $ 300 worth of groceries. I called Abel first thing on Sunday (in a major panic) and he arrived that same afternoon. Just as he promised. His price was fair, totally reasonable. He repaired our refrigerator with a 90 day warrantee. He was so kind and professional. Sure enough, it is operating perfectly today and zero groceries were lost!!! I highly recommend Abel and consider him our go-​to repairman as he is multi talented. BTW, as a designer, I have to say his business card couldn’t be more appropriate. Durable, concise, descriptive, great repairman font. A+++

He fixed my fridge and that’s all I needed done. I called another company and they wanted to up sell me this company came in and did what I asked. He charges a low fee to come visit and if it’s fixable he drops the fee and just charges for the work. Thanks! He actually came on time too, unlike the other company I called.

Abel came for Flatbush to Bed Stuy to fix my AC that burned out after being plugged into an overpowered electrical outlet. He was totally professional, punctual, and followed through with all his communication plans. That was unlike about four other air conditioning and electronics repair places with good Unilocal reviews, whom I called, emailed, and texted, and whom tentatively made plans but flaked without a word, or never responded.
I rang him around noon this Saturday, and he answered the phone, and said he could make it over in three hours, confirming details and the appointment time along the way. Within a short time of opening my portable Haeir AC, he was able to ascertain that parts had burned out, and thoughtfully asked a few questions to inform his findings.
Abel also checked the troublesome outlet, determining it was no good, and recommended not using it, offering to fix it in the future if I wanted.
He replaced the AC’s necessary electronic innards, and had it wrapped back up in an hour and a half. Even the remote control was tested. He left gave advise about use/​care for the AC, too. The bill was $ 175. That price was fair given it was a house visit and the machine cost about $ 400 and was out of warranty.
In our initial phone call, Abel explained that the house visit and examination alone would be $ 30 if there was nothing that could be done to rescue the machine. Upon checking out the AC, he let me know of the $ 175 fee before making any repairs, and gave me a formal receipt.
I was thankful for his help, and hope you too can be.

The problem was my washing machine stopped spinning. After trying to contact multiple businesses with good reviews and no one got back to me i got frustrated. I was recommended to abel for appliance repair. I was a little reluctant because he didn’t have any reviews on Unilocal,but from what my friend told me he was great.
He came about 2 hours after i called. Shiney shoes and a nice white shirt. Very professional guy. He got down and dirty and took apart my washing machine very carefully. His determination was the motor was burnt out due to transmission over load. He recommended that i buy a brand new washing machine because the cost was going to outweigh the repair bill. He said the part will be $ 300, ill charge you $ 225, it just makes sense for you to get a new machine with a warranty.
THEN he actually put the machine back together and cleaned up!
No upsetting and no nickel and diming. I am glad i found my appliance repair man for years to come! I was reluctant to leave a review because this guy is a diamond in the rough and afraid once he is discovered and gets busy he will raise prices but he deserves it.
Hard working, honest, and knows his stuff.
