These folks are hilarious actors! The crowds are always fun and social; no stressed-out Manhattanites here. A better time cannot be had for such a cheap price. Be sure to go early to get a good seat for the most popular movies, like Princess Bride and Goonies. Union Hall is a cool bar, especially in the winter with its fireplaces.

Want to relive classic 80’s movies while drinking adult beverages? Join the community atmosphere at A Drinking Game. Performers do staged reading of popular 80’s films(think Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Princess Bride, and Goonies). The actors drink every time their character’s name is mentioned, sometimes to encouraging shouts from the audience like«drink» or «chug.» Audience members can also choose to join in the fun with prompts to drink at the sound of a bell on key words & phrases. This is good natured fun with the audience merrily participating from the comfort of their folding chairs. You will enjoy the experience a lot more if you are a fan of the film and can quote along to some popular phrases. Odds are you’ll feel a bit left out if you’ve never seen the actual movie. Or wonder why everyone is laughing and wtf is going on. You might also wonder why that tipsy girl behind you won’t stop slurring though *all* of the movie quotes. The latest installment was held in the basement of Union Hall(with the occasional melodious sounds of bocce ball above). Get there before 8pm and score a $ 1 off beer for happy hour. Even more of an incentive to get there early — seating is limited and you’ll be standing packed into the back or sides if you don’t score a seat. The combination of nostalgic childhood films and the opportunity to participate in frat party style drinking antics seems to go over particularly well with the 30-something’s. All in all a fun night out. Cheers! Or should I say«chug»?
