True professionals. Lewis and partner were incredibly proficient and did an excellent job. Not to mention very reasonably priced when compared to the other quotes we received. The paper we chose was a heavy flock material that was almost like a mix between upholstery and cardboard in consistency. Not easy to work with. We also have a lot of wood work and cut outs he had to work around. Very technical job and they pulled it off like champs in one day’s work. We’re thrilled with the results. As a side note they were absolutely delightful to have in our home. Thanks guys!

I LOVED working with Lewis! He is an expert and a professional, and our bedroom looks amazing with Cole & Son tree wallpaper. Lewis lined everything up perfectly — when I complimented him on how wonderful his results looked, Lewis said, «I do every job like I would do my own home.» I believe him — he takes great care in his work, and the results speak for themselves. We will enjoy Lewis’s work for years and years. His assistant, Luba, was kind and also extremely professional.

Lewis and Luba were on-​time and totally professional — they got right to work and did an amazing job with some difficult wallpaper! I will never use another wallpaper hanger!

It is hard to get advice from someone when you did not use their service. But I called today for a recommendation of how to fix my DIY fail and he was quick to give me the solution and suggestions to repair my glue on old flocked wallpaper. Next time I attempt a wallpaper application, I will go straight to 3^rd Generation.

We are OVER THE MOON with the beautiful job Lewis and his assistant Luba did for us yesterday! We made a choice of a gorgeous and expensive paper from Flavorpaper (a Brooklyn company)… the print is «Great Hall» in color way: Storm. It’s a deep blue/​gold mylar (I attached a photo in the gallery). We were having trouble finding someone who seemed to know what they were doing when it came to this type of high quality paper and precise lining-​up of the design that was going to be essential. I found Lewis’ name on Unilocal,read the fantastic reviews and just knew he was our guy. His schedule was very full, but he was kind enough to make time for us during the busy Holiday season. He arrived with Luba, they got right to work and the job was done very carefully and efficiently. We even got to share a cup of coffee with this charming man during a bit of ‘drying time’ which was very nice. I would highly recommend Lewis’ skillful work to anyone who has a real eye for design and insists that the job be done by someone who is extremely experienced in the trade of paperhanging. I bought some very expensive wallpaper (Oh Joy! by Hygge & West) and my parents said that they were wallpaper «experts» and could have it up in an hour. They arrived, realized that it was not self-​adhesive, saw my small apartment, and disaster ensued.
Enter Lewis and Luda. Thanks to them, the wallpaper was up in an hour. Luckily most of the two rolls I purchased were still usable and good to put up on the one wall I wanted. I called Lewis, emailed him the wallpaper and square footage of the wall, and was able to set up an appointment for the same weekend. They showed up promptly, did the job neatly and efficiently and left without a trace. They are not cheap but eminently reasonable for the decades of expertise and professionalism they bring. They seem very kind and nice to boot.

I simply couldn’t be more pleased with the job preformed by Lewis and Luda. Not only did they show up on time, preform the the job as asked, and clean up all traces of their work as they walked out the door, but to enjoy their company while they worked in the apartment was truly a treat.

Highly recommended. Hired Lewis to do a wall in my daughter’s bedroom. He was great help in choosing the paper and guidelines on what to order. Was really flexible with scheduling, and able to get the job done quicker than expected. Showed up early, applied the paper with consummate skill and artistry. Great craftsman and I would definitely use again.

Lewis and Luda did a wonderful job installing wallpaper on one wall in my bedroom. For starters, I called him on a Friday and they were able to do the job the following day. Extra special care was taken to match the flowers from each roll used, and the seams are barely visible. Their pricing was very fair, and I am extremely happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend them.

Lewis and his assistant Luba did a super job with the wallpapering of one wall in our living room. They were were timely, very friendly, clean and were well prepared to do the work. Even thought the wallpaper was slightly tricky to install (artisan and complex pattern), they were keen to make it as close to perfect as possible. It looks gorgeous and YES, I would recommend them.

Lewis and Luda did an excellent job in my small Manhattan apartment. I wanted a couple of walls covered with an interesting wallpaper to liven the place up a bit. They showed up on time, with all equipment needed, and the end result was fantastic. They cleaned up before they left and the price was more than fair. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning work by a master craftsman. Lewis and Luba (his work partner) were fast, efficient, professional, and just about everything else that’s missing from your average contractor these days. It’s a family business and it shows in everything he does– he sweated every last detail. Nice guy, too. Would absolutely hire him again in a heartbeat.

Lewis, and his partner Luba, did a great job hanging wallpaper on one large wall in our master bedroom. He was able to come one week after I first called him to do the job, which he expected to take one day based on my description of the wall. He found that he actually needed to do quite a bit of work to the wall itself before hanging the paper, so it ended up taking two days of work (about 4 – 5 hours each day). Lewis also explained that we did not order enough wallpaper and so walked us through our options in terms of how best to hang it so as to maximize what he had, as it would not cover the entire wall. He worked his magic and was able to cover almost the entire wall, by patching smaller pieces together in certain spots, as we did not relish the idea of ordering more wallpaper. The finished product looks great, and the cost for two days worth of work as well as skilled wallpaper installation seemed very reasonable. Lewis was friendly, professional, and efficient in his work as was Luba. Luba cleaned up the space on both days and we appreciated this greatly. I would definitely use Lewis again.

Lewis came over this Saturday promptly at 9am with his assistant. He is a professional and had been doing this for 45 years!
I had two walls with two different wall papers — about 200 sqft total. He charged $ 500 and here was what it came with:
Primer — fast drying primer — you need primer for your walls or you’ll regret it later.
Hanging — he did it with confidence! Smooth operator.
All supplies included.
It was a quick job on a Saturday morning taking about 3 – 4 hours.
I highly recommend him. Also, he says he often consults people on what kind of paper to buy and how much to buy — for free. I would take him up on this offer if you are thinking about wallpaper.

Avoid him. After agreeing on price, date, and time, I asked him for his full name and instead of telling me, he said he can no longer do the installation. Do not let anyone into your house who won’t tell you his name and insists that you have cash there for him.

Lewis hung Cole and Son Woods paper for me. He was a perfectionist when it came to matching all of the branches so the pattern appeared seamless.
I would recommend him to everyone. His assistant was great as well.

Lewis has done work for me in the past and was extremely happy, this review is for my mother in law who doesn’t know how to use a computer but insisted I leave a review for her. She is so happy with Lewis’s work. He was punctual, professional, and made her apt look new again. He wallpapered her Living room main wall and her bathroom. After getting 3 estimates to wallpaper one wall in my dining area, I chose Lewis because he had the most reasonable price and was able to come on a Saturday. He promised me I would be pleased with his work and I couldn’t be happier. He was prompt, courteous, professional and hardly left any mess. In just 2 hours he transformed my wall. I highly recommend Lewis for your wallpaper installation!

My wife and I hired Lewis to wallpaper our spare room after reading the reviews on Unilocal and we couldn’t be happier. He did an impeccable job aligning and hanging a complex pattern. You can tell he has decades of experience – he is a skilled craftsman who really knows wallpaper.
Lewis was professional from the moment he came over to give us an estimate for the job. He recommended we use lining paper, about which he was absolutely right. He was punctual and worked quickly and efficiently, priming the walls and hanging the lining paper one day and then hanging the wallpaper itself the following day. He also did a great job of carefully cutting around complex molding and our built-​in bookshelves – a process that surely would have resulted in the dissolution of our marriage if we had done it ourselves (plan A, quickly reconsidered).
Also worth noting: Lewis was able to do the job with just a few days notice and on a weekend that worked for us – which was certainly not the case of others we contacted about the job.

Lewis & his wife Luba run a small, mom & pop wallpapering business. They were able to fit me into their schedule within 4 days of me calling, which was a huge bonus for me. He was also careful to call me back once or twice before the job to make sure i had all the necessary supplies, & still had our appointment on the calendar.
He finished the job (just one small wall, 9 feet x 12 feet) in an hour & a half, (an hour less than his estimate). Notably, his quote was also about half that of the other wallpaper guy i talked to.
So great guy, great job — not a 5 star review because you must pay in cash, & also as he was walking out the door i caught a couple small adjustments he needed to make before he left.
