Martin Wang saved my day yesterday. As a business owner, my computer is my lifeline, and when I couldn’t access many websites due to a message about a shockwave flash plugin, I was unable to work. It turned out it was a virus, which Martin diagnosed instantly, and likely a byproduct of my upgrade to Windows 10. Martin cleaned up the virus (turned out I had multiple viruses), installled a new anti-​virus software, and cleaned up the computer — and personally returned the computer to my home at 9 pm last night. All for a very reasonable price. I cannot recommend him more highly for all your computer needs.

Martin Wang is an extremely competent pc repairman! He is very generous and charged me nothing for a diagnosis. He knows his stuff and what to do and will go as far as to clean your computer. It’s hard to find a reputable computer tech, because there are some people out there who purposely put something in your computer so you keep coming back to them. However, Mr. Wang DOES NOT do that. You can trust him!

Michael Wang is a wonderful person to work with… if it can be made to happen, he can make it so. Patient, committed, an expert on all things PC, he spent a week trying to resurrect my hard drive – tried everything possible. But if Michael says «No way» you don’t have to ask for second opinions. Thank goodness for backups. Anyway, I recommend him highly.

I was having problems with my laptop and called Martin. He came to pick up my laptop and had it fixed in a couple of days. Then when I had a new problem crop up a week or so later, he fixed it again free of charge. I’ll definitely go back to WangPC for future repairs!

Mr. Wang was quick and responsive when it came to fixing my Asus laptop which needed a new battery replaced. He even came and picked up my laptop and dropped it back off at my apartment after one week (we needed to wait a few days for the battery to come in by mail).
Would highly recommend his services to anyone in the Boston area!

This was a truly wonderful experience. I had a complete emergency with my laptop not working and a meeting the following morning. I called the shop and the owner picked up my laptop from my house at 10:30pm, and had it ready for me this morning at 8am in time for me to get to my meeting with my laptop. I honestly can’t complement his performance and service enough!

I’m very appreciative of Martin. My iMac suddenly stopped booting and doing some research online, I suspected that the power supply had probably died. I contacted Martin based on his excellent Unilocal reviews and asked if he could fix my iMac. He said he could and told me I could bring it to his home office. However, after a couple more questions from me, he suggested that the fastest way to get it fixed would be to just do the replacement myself. I told him I was concerned about the possibility of sustaining a shock from the capacitors, but he gave me some tips on how to avoid that and said I could contact him if I ran into any trouble. Well, I did as he suggested, ordered the part and was able to get my iMac working 3 days after I talked to Martin. I have to give him credit for giving me guidance at no personal profit. The next time a repair comes up that is out of my comfort zone, he will be the first person I go to!

We contacted Martin after an extensive Unilocal search as our MacBook crashed! He was very prompt in returning our phone call, meeting with us & assured us that he would do his best to fix the problem. He provided options and suggestions in terms of the best way to fix the macbook. Martin not only restored our «almost lost data», but also offered to upgrade our mac to a latest model and gave a good discount.
Martin has set such high standards of professionalism and customer service, that it is difficult for us to consider any other place for computer related issues in the Boston area and we highly recommend him for your computer’s long life!

This is my second review of wang PC, so I don’t know if the first one will remain. Martin Wang is simply a godsend. Nothing less. Several months ago, he fixed up one of my dell pcs. He just did the same for my daughter’s older MacBook. He is quick, polite, helpful, obviously knows his stuff.
My daughter was leaving for a long term international commitment and he came through like I expected. There simply is no one else to consider if you have a computer problem. If there were 10 stars, I would check them.

This was a life-​saver for me. I flew into Boston Saturday night for a work meeting on Monday only to find my Toshiba ThinkPad wouldn’t start, despite all the troubleshooting I did. WangPC was the only computer repair business open on Sundays and, with great reviews online, I decided to call him to see what he could do. He was very courteous over the phone, asked me to bring my computer to his home office in the morning, and then offered to drop off the repaired computer by the evening. I dropped the computer off around 9 AM on Sunday at his house.
I was able to spend Sunday seeing the city, and by 6:30 PM on Sunday he was at my hotel with the computer. He had to wipe out a lot of my software (like dropbox, stata, etc) but was able to save all of my files and important documents, and the computer ran beautifully! The whole thing cost me about $ 190, and I could pay on credit card.
Thank you so much for your emergency repair on my computer, and for saving my business trip in Boston on such short notice! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Incredible service. I dropped off my computer (with a broken screen) at 8:30 PM and he returned it to me (delivered it to my apartment) at 11 PM. The prices are incredible too. MicroCenter was charging at least $ 60 more and definitely would not have had the same turn around. Can’t recommend him highly enough. Please note, though, that he has moved to Newton.

My laptop stopped charging and died on the Sunday before a big project was due. I got it to Martin at 3 pm and he delivered it back to my apartment by 7:30pm that night. By far, the fastest computer repair that I’ve ever heard of. Laptop is running like a charm now, cause he also gave me a free tune-​up to improve performance. Also, he gives a student discount, which saved me about $ 50, so I’ll definitely come back if I have any problems again!

I recently contacted Wang PC Computer Service to connect my printer wirelessly to my laptop as I couldn’t get it to work following the set-​up instructions.
Upon calling I spoke with Martin who scheduled an appointment within 24 hours (on a Saturday and through quite a bit of snow, no less)! Martin showed up as promised and was able to get the set-​up completed in relatively short order.
There was one brief hitch as the wireless connection stopped working after he left for some reason (no fault of his), so I dialed him back and he said he or one of his staff would come back the next day to verify and repair the connection once again, if necessary.
As promised, Martin came back again the next day and took care of everything, at no additional charge. I am now able to print wirelessly. He also set up a USB driver/​connection to print using a USB cable in the event of any future issues with the wireless connection, which is awesome to have as a backup.
I will absolutely use WangPC Computer Service for any services/​fixes in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need. Wang’s pricing was about half of the other two services I researched, and both of those would have taken about a week to schedule the appointment. I am very pleased with the value and service received — thanks for everything Martin I will be a repeat customer from here on out!

Martin at WangPC was great. I needed help installing Windows 7 on my laptop which was running Vista and Ubuntu. He quoted me less than Geek Squad at Best Buy, and picked up and delivered my laptop right at my apartment. Although it took a day longer than expected due to a power cord that mysteriously went missing, all in all I would call Martin again!

I moved my son to Cambridge on Saturday to start a masters degree at MIT. On Monday his power supply blew out on his desktop. He was very upset because he felt vulnerable starting a new program without his desktop. We had to get it repaired ASAP. Went to a big box store and were told the repair would take two or three weeks.
So I searched «computer repair» on Unilocal and found that Martin Wang had five stars. He fixed the power supply within 24 hours and even replaced a dysfunctional fan and memory card, and added capability for previously dormant programs. All without being asked by us to do the extra work. Repairs were reasonably priced as well. Very professional and very fast. Thanks Martin. You really hit a home run!

I needed my entire office wired and networked and only had a few days to do it. Martin at WangPC was a life-​saver! I highly recommend him! Martin was always on-​time, very respectful, and answered every question fully. I was totally comfortable leaving it all in his knowledgeable hands.
Martin even gave me advice on which pieces of hardware to purchase and install making sure that it would all work correctly with my network. He was super-​fast and very flexible with his time — he even helped me out on the weekend.
I did some price shopping before I went with Martin and found his prices to be super competitive, but most importantly I feel like I can trust the quality of his work. I will definitely use him again when the need arises.

Great service! I HIGHLY recommend them. I broke my HP laptop screen while I was on vacation in California. I did some shopping around there as well as Boston and the average charge was around $ 250-​$ 300 on top of that, I was told they would have to ship it to another site for repair.
I saw how well WangPC was reviewed and gave it a shot. I was immediately responded to and My laptop was picked up from my home the same day I called. I was kept informed on when the new screen would be delivered and my screen would be replace. The price I was given was the price I was charged ($ 180). I made the initial call on Monday and had my fixed computer three days later. He even fixed the tiny bent corners on the keyboard at no extra charge and without me asking!

I had a problem with my Dell laptop not running and had been avoiding going online to DELL or big retail stores to get it repaired as they charge you a lot of money just to look at it. Thankfully, at Wang PC, the person diagnosed the issue in 5 secs and guess what, he didn’t charge me a penny! On top of that, he gave me great advice on what to buy to fix my issue (it was a hard disk issue, I needed a new one).
Now my laptop is better than it was before and up and running thanks to WangPC. Writing this review from my rejuvenated laptop seems right :)
