The Red Pillar Decorative Arts

Tucked away on a little side street in Brookline Village hides a wee shop crammed with decorative items. If you enjoy antiques, whimsical watercolors, French linens, proper stationery, and needlepoint pillows, this is your store. Lets be honest – you don’t NEED any of this stuff, but it’s a great place to browse if you need a pretty hostess gift or birthday present for your boyfriend’s mother (ahem!).
One of the proprietors was there during my visit (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) and she was super helpful with suggestions and gift ideas. Some items are pricey, but they are definitely unique and if you are purchasing a gift, they will even box it up and tie a festive red ribbon on it! They have been in business for 4 years and despite living just around the corner, I never even realized they were there… just another one of Brookline Village’s hidden gems.
