Specialties
Taberna de Haro is dedicated to serving the authentic cuisine of Spain. Traditional dishes from all over this gastronomically-diverse country are offered. The wine list is comprised of 325 wines from Spain, one of the largest all-Spanish wine lists in the country. Since 1998, Taberna de Haro has been a place known for delicious tapas and dishes, a rich cultural experience, spirited hospitality, and an unparalleled Spanish wine experience. Taberna de Haro has a wide following of diners who love coming back again and again for favorites such as Arroz Negro, a black paella made with cuttlefish and squid ink; gambas al ajillo, a spicy, garlicky shrimp dish with plenty of Spanish olive oil for dipping your bread into; croquetas de jamón, a classic, decadent tapa made from cured ham-studded béchamel, breaded and deep fried. Each week Chef Deborah Hansen herself makes the specials, and pairs them with wine recommendations. She is also a sommelier, trained in Spain. There is always a different paella to be savored! Local fish such as razor clams, sardines, and whole grilled mackerel often appear as daily specials. Deborah is often asked to give wine and sherry recommendations from her large list. Passionate about sherry, Deborah offers 60 different sherries, all available by the glass. Sherries are also showcased in the reinvented bar, Straight Law Bar, Boston’s only Gin & Sherry bar. Let Sean Sullivan make you a perfect craft cocktail in the elegant, comfortable bar!

Business Owner
I’ve been a «Spainophile» since my first visit to Spain back in 1983. Since that time I have spent years living, traveling, working, and learning in Spain. It is my pleasure to be an ambassador of sorts for Spain’s incredible cuisine and truly outstanding wine. I trained as a sommelier in Spain, and now one of my favorite aspects of my job is to help customers choose a wine from my all-Spanish wine list, which consists of 335 different wines. 50 of these are sherry! I keep the prices reasonable so more people will experience the beauty of Span’s viniculture.
