Best falafel I’ve ever had. Hands down. Vegan/​vegetarian friendly which is great as a vegan. The spicy sauce is killer.
Super organized, clean, relatively cheap. Worth every penny. I could easily eat 5 of the standard falafel pita sandwiches.
Rami is also one of the nicest men I’ve ever met. I talked to him for about 20 minutes after I ate because it was late at night near closing time and not many people were there. He has an amazing family and everyone does their part at keeping his businesses going.
He’s constantly restocking with fresh vegetables, and quality is the main focus here, which one can tell is very apparent upon entering. I will certainly be eating here again.

I love their food. I’ve only eaten here 2 times, but both experiences were great. Most importantly, the food is delicious. I went here for lunch both times and their food made it difficult to have to go back to work. If you live anywhere near here you’ve gotta try Rami’s!

I had falafel hummus pita and it was delicious. It’s is one of the best falafel place in Boston.

Best falafel in Boston! After I came back from Israel, my second home, I had falafel a few days after I had landed in Boston. I wouldn’t be able to compare Israeli falafel to Rami’s.

Garbage food and falafels, dry chewy meat and spices overly done with curry and thurmic, had to eat in a bind would never recommend this crap

I’ve eaten at Rami’s countless times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious.

The kebab here is pretty legit! A bit salty but the rest of the flavors balance it out so can’t complain. Very messy to eat but everyone is preoccupied eating so they’re not paying attention to you“ugly eating”.

I’ve eaten at Rami’s many times both as a student and as a tourist visiting Boston. Besides the amazing food, I love the authentic Israeli feel. Everything is fresh, authentic, and kosher. The place is also spotless!
Every time I visit Boston I make sure to get shawarma right before I leave. It’s the perfect nostalgic send off.

Came here a few days ago around 12:30. I think I came right before the lunch rush because it wasn’t busy when I was there.
I got the falafel plate with hummus and salad. The pita bread that came with was thick and you can tell they made it from scratch (unlike garlic and lemons in Allston, which I prefer over this place).
I paid $ 11/​$ 12 for the meal, which I think is overpriced (I’m broke). I wish they had lunch specials. That would be something.

Outside of the massive population centers which can support a wealth of highly-​targeted ethnic eateries, the best kosher restaurants are the ones which transcend or outright obscure their religious peculiarities and sell themselves to the general public simply as quality eateries.
Tiny Rami’s has mastered this dance and stood the test of time, seeing neighboring kosher eateries come and go, and surviving despite constant threat from nearby non-​kosher shawarma «kings» and other, lesser vassals of falafeldom.
During a busy lunch hour, they run the cramped shop with exacting precision. («We’re here to work; we’re not here to play!» I once overheard being said to a dawdling customer, to my impatient delight.) At calmer moments, they’re happy to offer tastes and shoot the breeze.
Their shawarma is expertly cooked so the meat chunks remain juicy but slightly crisp at the edges, stuffed into the softest pita this side of Jerusalem, covered with freshly chopped veggies, and slathered with sauces — ranging from hot, green s’chug, to smooth, garlicky hummus, to sesame-​laden techina, to the mysteriously spicy orange amba.
Kosher or not, you’ll find that the thrill of delicious shawarma grease dripping down your arm as you try to tame your burgeoning sandwich is a spiritual experience.

All in the crunch of the falafel, creamy and incomparable hummus, and pillowy pita bread. Coolidge Corner’s Rami’s serves just this including other Middle Eastern staples like baba ghanoush (eggplant spread), kabob, and shawarma.
Falafel is smaller than some and usually made to order. Warm and fresh. The hummus and baba ghanoush, with a light pour of olive oil, are the perfect compliments to these hearty and crisp delights. Get a little hot sauce to dollop and mix.
Closed on Friday evening and Saturday.

Food was tasty, but they didn’t have adequate silverware. The forks were crappy and when I asked for a spoon they said, «Sorry, we don’t have spoons» ???

Best Middle-​Eastern food this side of the Middle East. Everything is super fresh with perfect, authentic seasoning. We had the Schwarma and Falafel and both were super.
The Falafel is just like I had overseas — almost no one in the U.S. makes it this good.

I have not eaten there yet! I am bring my daughter in law for this Thanksgiving, she is Jewish with a Flair! See you soon!

I was at Rami’s couple of years ago and didn’t like it at all. Recently I tried again as this is one of the few Kosher places in the area and I have to say it was a great experience. The Shawarma in Pita was really good. Prices are reasonable and overall it’s a great place to have lunch.

This is a catering review. HORRIBLE experience.
I contacted Rami’s to cater a ~15 person event. I sent the date, time, place, and order to the email provided on their website. The manager (Haim) responded asking for my phone number, and I provided it. I missed his first call and called him back to finalize. He answered to tell me he needed to call me back in «just a minute.» One hour later, he still hadn’t called back so I called him. Turns out he had totally forgotten about me. He quoted me a price that seemed a bit high, but I assumed I would get an invoice or receipt later to double check everything, so I provided my credit card info. Before we got off the phone he asked me if my organization was tax-​exempt, which it is, but he did not adjust the price.
The day of the event, Rami’s still hadn’t shown up 15 minutes after they were supposed to. I called the restaurant and the man who answered had no record of a catering order and said he couldn’t get the food to us until 1PM: 1.5 hours after my scheduled delivery time and also after my event was supposed to be over. I told him that wasn’t going to work and he had the manager call me. The manager promised to have the food there before 12:30 and promised a discount. He sort of apologized, but also acted like none of this was their fault because they had a problem with their gas system that morning. Except that from what I gathered from the man at the restaurant, they had forgotten about my order completely. Also, it would have been unacceptable for them not to warn me that they had hit a problem filling my order anyway. They only told me this after my food was already supposed to have arrived and after I called THEM; given the lack of notice, it would have been too late for me to make other arrangements for food, and my classmates would have gone hungry. They totally screwed me over.
The food finally showed up a little AFTER 12:30. Many of the takeout containers were crushed, but it was the least of my worries at that point. There was no receipt anywhere in my order.
After I got home I emailed the manager asking him to call me to settle the bill and also to send me a receipt so that I could have the expense reimbursed by my organization. I also reminded him that the total should be reduced because the man at the restaurant did not provide us with the extra pita I ordered after telling me that it wouldn’t be necessary.
I called the manager three days later because he still hadn’t called me. He apologized, saying he hadn’t had time, although he apparently did have time to charge my credit card $ 20 MORE than the full, original amount I was quoted. I opened up negotiations about the price reduction I was promised, and also asked why the bill was so high in the first place given (1) our tax status, (2) the lack of pita from our original order, and (3) the fact that adding the prices from their online menu came to a total almost $ 90 lower than what he charged me! The manager said that the pita was never factored into the original quote he gave me (what?!), and that the difference was probably due to their $ 35 delivery fee. First of all, $ 35 for delivery is outrageous — ESPECIALLY when that delivery was more than an hour late — and second of all, $ 35 still did not make up for the difference even assuming that I was incorrectly charged for both tax and extra pita. The manager said he would go «look into this» and promised to call me back within the next hour. Unsurprisingly, I did not get a call back and never got a receipt, either.
At that point, I felt like I had gone to great lengths to try and work things out with Rami’s, only to face continued disrespect and disorganization on their end. They had many opportunities to make this right, and they didn’t. I also strongly suspect that they intentionally overcharged and lied to me. So I took the dispute to my credit card company. I realize that Rami’s is one of very few kosher restaurants in the area, but I will NEVER be returning.

Not open on Sunday, 7:15 pm — contrary to the hours posted on Unilocal.
Kind of not cool.

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat for lunch on a Sunday. When we arrived around 1:30pm, it was quite crowded, but we were able to snag a seat at one of the 5 tables in the restaurant.
I wasn’t crazy hungry, so I opted to order the chicken and hummus pita. I got all the fixins except for tomato and sat down to eat.
The pita sandwich itself is quite tasty – all the ingredients have great flavor and really pair well together. It was also a good enough size for me, considering I wasn’t starving.
Overall, the food is prepared quickly here, and is quite good. My main issue with this place is that the pita cost about $ 12 and was smallish in my opinion, even for a lunch portion.

Not good at all. Lack of flavor, meat was not what I was expecting. Expensive for what you are getting. Very disappointed.

I finally tried Rami’s Sunday night.
Really? I got an shawarma chicken with a salad.
My first clue that I should have walked out was there was no shawarma chicken on the shawarma rotisserie prominently displayed. It was in a pan covered in tin foil. Uh oh. I did take out. Came home and saw brown grayish pieces of fatty chicken pieces. Nasty. salad ok. Pita good. Chicken a lame duck. Garlic and Lemon in Allston blows this place away with nice slices of white juicy meat. I think Rami has been around so long it’s mediocre food is endearing. I ain’t going back. Do I dear try Cold Press next door? Anyone?

I have been in Rami’s in the past and thought that my experience was pretty good. Simple middle eastern food, carved off of the kebabs is usually a good time. But my past experiences were trumped by what my roommate and I experienced during our last visit.
I told my roommate that this place was pretty good, so she decided to try it (I had already eaten). It was later in the night, but there was still a decent amount of people there. The food that my roommate was served, which she found out once we got home and opened it, was disgraceful! She was given the driest, most sparse scraps of meat that I had ever seen. It was if they did not want to tell us that they were out of food, and thought that they could still charge us $ 15 bucks for a plate of stuff that was scraped off of the stove top.
On top of that, the lettuce and other vegetables were not fresh either. The whole meal was a disappointment, and I was very embarrassed to have recommended them to my roommate, who ended up throwing the meal out, because it was so bad. We have not been back since, and I doubt that I would ever consider trying them again.

I cannot praise Rami’s highly enough. Their food is incredible, particularly the falafel. It is all made fresh in the front, so the whole restaurant smells heavenly. The staff is friendly.
Of course it’s noisy on occasion, and sometimes crowded… It’s on Harvard Street so of course it’s not the largest piece of property. But it’s amazing. Worth anyone’s time and money. It’s not cheap, but not ridiculous.

I got the falafel pita with all the toppings and hot sauce, and it was very good. The ingredients tasted fresh, they are generous with the falafel, and the sandwich was filling. The standout component was actually the pita bread for me, which was probably one of the best I’ve tasted. At $ 8 though it seemed overpriced, especially since the restaurant is fast casual.

Rami’s has some of the best falafel that I’ve ever had outside of Israel. When I used to live in the Boston area, I would make special trips to Brookline just to eat here.
I always get the falafel with hummus and pita and a side of fries. The atmosphere is sort of like a fast food kind of place were you order at the counter. The prices are also not as cheap as other falafel places in Boston, but it’s totally worth it to come here.
When I visited Israel, I remember that the falafel pitas were served with french fries inside of the pita which was super tasty. I brought that up to them once here and was told «this isn’t Israel.» I still want my french fries inside my pita anyways, so just try to do it myself.
I plan to go out of my way to come here every time I visit Boston.

I am kosher and frequently get lunch or dinner from here. I also ordered catering once for a Shabbat dinner.
I usually order the turkey or chicken shwarma. I frequently order the grilled chicken shawarma salad plate with hummus. The pita and hummus are amazing! It is very pricey but fairly normal for kosher meat and they really load up the plate with meat. You will leave very full and satisfied. The seating area is small but you never wait too long for a table.
Be mindful of the hours because they are shomer Shabbat — they close early on Fridays and are closed on Saturday.

They used to be good.
Fifteen years ago I was excited to come here. I’d just been back from Israel, loved shawarma, and this was the closest to Israeli shawarma I could find north of NYC. And man, was their shawarma good.
I don’t know what happened, but the times I’ve gone in the past 4 – 5 years, it’s really gone downhill. I like my meat well-​done, but even without asking, at Rami’s it’s burnt. It’s so dry I eat it while drinking water, just in hopes of rehydrating the meat to where it’s chewable.
The service isn’t exactly friendly either, but hey most Israeli restaurants aren’t.
Either way, tired of recommending this place to people on days of glory long past. Now that they’re no longer the only game in town, I recommend walking down the street to someplace better.

I came here with a friend on a Thursday afternoon around 1:00. The atmosphere was chaotic. The line was awkwardly wrapped around the (few) tables, making the entire restaurant feel cramped. The service was brusque (their reaction to my friend asking for extra hot sauce bordered on being unfriendly), although I was sympathetic, given the number of people in the restaurant.
I ended up getting a chicken and hummus pita, as the shawarma wasn’t ready when I ordered. It was good– the pita was fresh and the chicken was flavorful. But it was a pretty small amount of food for over $ 10. I might come back if I were in the area and it was less crowded, but the atmosphere (and price) kind of ruined the experience.

Everything here is delicious, seriously. The falafel pita or grilled meat /​shawarma plates are fresh and seasoned very well. The pita is soft and not too thick but substantial enough to securely hold all of its stuffed ingredients. You can make your item as spicy as you like with their home made sauces and the side salads for the platters are hearty. I wish Rami’s was located closer to central Boston, but it is worth traveling to in Coolidge corner.
