First off let me say that my rating does not reflect the people at this office so much as the their policies and services offered. Upon arriving I was given all of my new-patient paperwork, include a page that gave an overview of the office’s billing process. Patients, regardless of whether or not they have insurance, are expected to pay the cost of their appointment at the time of service. The friendly woman at the counter politely explained to me that the process just«eliminated a step», which was basically a way of sugar-coating the fact that really it’s a way to make the process easier for the office and more inconvienent for the patient. The office will file your paperwork with the insurance company, and the insurance company will reimburse the patient directly(hopefully). So basically if the insurance company screws you, at least the office is guaranteed their money without a fight, and you left to duke it out with Cigna or whomever on your own. I found this to be generally annoying. On top of that, my cleaning took over an hour and a half which resulted in my getting a parking ticket… silly me, I thought and hour and 10 minutes was plenty of time for a routine cleaning. Oh, and they don’t fill cavaties at this office… had I known that in advance I would never have chosen this office for routine care. On another note, my hygenist was very nice, as was the office staff. The hygenist was friendly, gentle and pleasant… that being said, with everything else factored-in I don’t think this is the place for me.
