Since 2007 Emily has accumulated years working in a well known high-​end Boston salon. In 2015 Emily will be opening a salon of her own. With almost a decade of experience and extensive color training in Los Angeles, Emily is a member of the National Board of Certified Hair Colorists. She is also a L’Oreal advanced color technician, certified SOCAP extensions technician, and practices the TIGI advanced cutting method and American crew cutting techniques. In January of 2013, after training one on one with the largest hair replacement center in the country, Emily has become an official Invisible Hair Replacement Specialist. This makes her one of the very few elite hair stylists with women’s hair replacement experience in the Nation.

When taking her career to the next level Emily imagines traveling and building strong teams around the country and world. She is always excited to learn new skills, meet new people, and further her career.

I used to not get my hair cut because it was so difficult to find someone who knew their way around long hair. I mean the kind of long that gets so tangled in the sink, I have had to be liberated from the knots…
Emily gets it! My first visit to her was in 2008 and I have never looked back! Every cut is perfect. She is never pushy about styles, nor will she ever do anything that may not work with your hair. Thank you for talking me down from bangs… eesh…sometimes you get hair amnesia and forget that the cowlick exists… and after checking out my old pics from 1994… I knew that Emily had a gift for knowing what my hair (and my temperament) can and cannot do!
I have never stuck with a stylist for as long as I have with Emily, but her personality (along with her obvious skill) keep me coming back. I feel like a million bucks after I leave the salon, and that is no small task ;)

I made appointments with Emily as a way to pamper myself throughout my pregnancy and will continue to do so as a new mom. Hell, I’d pay to just hang out with her in her shop. On top of being exceptionally talented, she is a delightful human being and every minute with her is time well spent. During my first appointment, she took the time to really understand what I wanted for my hair — which was for it to look good with minimal effort on my part since I was going to be 9 months pregnant in August with very little patience. She far exceeded my expectations and gave me an incredible haircut that has grown out beautifully. She is a true master of her craft and takes amazing care of her clients. It is a privilege to have your hair cut by someone with such passion and talent.

I have been going to see Emily for about a year now, and I literally only have amazing things to say about her. First of all, what a quality person. Em is outgoing, friendly, and just cool all around. It makes going to get my haircut an enjoyable experience each and every time. Second, but certainly not less, Emily is a master. She has absolutely crazy skills with scissors and I go in there feeling like I am in really good hands. As a guy, I have always found it difficult to find someone who I can rely on with how I want my hair each and every time, especially if I want to mix it up a bit from appointment to appointment. This is no problem for Em, and she is flexible with her time, thorough, quick, and versatile. She can work with ANY person and ANY hair type.
I will definitely be keeping in touch with Emily for future haircuts even when I leave the Boston area, because she is THAT good. Like me three years ago, if you are new to the city of Boston, Emily is your go to. There is no one better.

Before I met Emily I had been getting my hair cut the same way for over 15 years, going to the barber once every two weeks. I didn’t see any reason to change what worked for me. After talking shop one night, she asked me if I would consider growing my hair out and styling it differently. I wasn’t sure at first, having always gone to a barber, but Emily promised me that if I didn’t like where it was going she would «give me back my old haircut.» I gave her my full trust and carte blanche, and eight months later I could not be more satisfied or happier with my hair. Without a doubt, going to Emily and trusting her judgment has been a fantastic experience. I can’t wait to see where the next eight months takes me (and my hair)!

I’ve been seeing Em for about 3 years now… Guys with long hair, I know you’re out there, get to Emily immediately. Her skill with the scissors is beyond comparison. Every time I visit, I leave feeling like a new person. It’s amazing what a haircut can do for a person and Em nails it 10⁄10 times!
Aside from her trade skills, Em is a great conversationalist (if you like to chat during your cut) and I’ve had some good laughs. She’s a hard working, «get s*** done» individual which comes out both in her work and her personality.
You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve always felt inhibited by my fine, thin hair and yearned for thick tresses to call my own. With the summer heat wave and wanting a change, I did some research and scoped various Boston salons. I nervously contacted Emily based on her great Unilocal reviews and the posted pictures of her work. I went in for a consultation and instantly wanted to open a bottle of champagne and have Emily do my hair everyday. Emily is warm, relaxed, confident and extremely knowledgeable. I walked out with blue and brown extensions (to match my natural hair) and get compliments all the time. Its pretty great.
I will be going back to Emily even when I move away from Boston. To all the ladies and gents out there who dream of locks different than your own — seek out Emily! Shes the bomb.

I do not even know where to begin. Emily SAVED me when I came to her (last minute) to get hair extensions and highlights before my wedding. When no other salon said they could do extensions in such a short time frame (long story about why it was last minute), Emily went above and beyond and made it happen. I have never had extensions before and she spent a lot of time educating me about how to take care of them. The result was so natural. As a person, Emily is so down to earth, kind, friendly, and funny. I have always bounced around to different salons and I am so happy to have found someone I will now continue to go to! I highly highly recommend her for any of your hair needs!

Emily is the best! I have gone to many hair salons for extensions and have had terrible experiences. Being new to the Boston area, I was skeptical of another new hair salon and stylist. When I met Emily for a consult she listened to exactly what I wanted and reassured me I was in good hands. Emily did an amazing job on my color, extensions, and style. I recently moved to Boston and wanted something more than the run-​of-​the-​mill barber cut. Emily did an amazing job. Emily is top notch! I have traveled all over our lovely 50 states and have not found someone more talented and down to earth. She took me from being completely unsatisfied with my hair to completely in love with it!
My extensions are easy to manage, thanks to her great advice! I have had them in since November and still love them over 2 months later. She was great with cutting my super short hair to blend with my newly elongated tresses. The color matching she did with them couldn’t have been more spot on.
If you go see anyone else for extensions, you’re a bonehead! Haha
