I came to see Bridget at Boston Skin because my wife gave me an Ultrasonic Facial as a gift. It was definitely the nicest facial I’ve received. Plus, Bridget is really a pleasant person, so it was nice to have a chat while receiving the services.
I knew also that I could trust her because my wife comes here for her laser hair removal and my wife looks great. Because of Boston Skin, I get older, but my wife is staying the same age.

I was late a few times due to my unfamiliarity with the area. Not only did she try to make me feel badly for being late — which I certainly am responsible for, but isn’t it better customer service to give someone a break — she actually made a big deal about her precious time instead of just charging me for a late appointment and being done with it. And this happened multiple times, even though I apologized for being late, and it didn’t seem to conflict with anyone else’s appointment.
I left one too many times feeling that she acts like she knows what she’s doing but may not be as good as she believes. She repeatedly, over multiple visits, objected that I couldn’t have experienced some of the things I told her that I did, with respect to how laser and electrolysis worked on me. If someone experienced something, even if it violates the laws of the physics, ya still have to acknowledge that that person felt or experienced something, even if it was a hallucination or something. Her know-​it-​all attitude that isn’t open to adjusting her opinion in the face of different information became irritating to the point that I couldn’t spend more than the thousand or so dollars I had already spent there.
I stopped going and decided to only get laser when I traveled to other cities, as many of the places in Boston are way too expensive. For comparison, my favorite place in the world does a 20 minute area for about $ 20 and it barely feels like anything is happening, though I noticed the results. Bridget does the same area, with much older more painful equipment for $ 250 and it takes an hour. It would cause my skin to be severely irritated, to the point of looking burned. Yes, sometimes laser is painful, but there are techniques to get it done efficiently, and you would think she would have learned these techniques, but perhaps she doesn’t do it enough for her to have picked up the techniques.
Yes, her equipment is aging, but she clings onto it because it costs «so much money,» and she cares more about all of the money she’s had to invest than the pain and suffering of her clients. She originally assured me she would use cooling for the laser work, and then went ahead and did it the same old way she must have always done, with no air cooling. It made me suspect that she only agreed with me to get me to try her service. I wish I had tried some other places, but I figured the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. Anyways, it was expensive, but it did the job for the most part.
Also, I have to put two of the other reviews in perspective. For one thing, hair growing back in two days is not totally unheard of, even for a treatment that works. On the other hand, I too am from LA and Bridget does not impress me as being as good as the better electrolysis/​laser practitioners in LA. I know that not everyone in Boston has an attitude, but she often did, and life’s too short to keep giving hundreds of dollars a visit to someone who seems to reguard one with contempt. I don’t know what that was about, but I had enough.
I hesitated to write this review for a long time, because I don’t know the other places in Boston, but if she’s the best and the others are worse, Boston is really in trouble. I’ll have to give another a try.

I’ve been going to Bridget for over 2 years now. She is always friendly and professional and she truly knows skin.
Honestly, I just lie down on the comfy chair and let her go to town. I’ve done red light therapy (love that!), some light chemical peels (they work and she can control if you get flaky skin or not) and some IPL too. (I don’t know what that is but it zaps you and leaves you with really soft, glowing skin).
Her Hylunia skin products are great too. I started using them, then we used them on my son for dry skin and I’ve even got my husband dabbing some on now too.
The prices are reasonable and Bridget is a true pro. She gets referrals all the time from local hospitals. She’s that good.

I have been seeing Bridget for a little over a year and could not be more pleased with the customer service and results of my hair removal treatments. After having been mistreated at a different hair removal establishment, Boston Skin Solutions is a breath of fresh air. The office is always clean and welcoming, and Bridget is very good at her job. She is as friendly as can be and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciate that Bridget tells you everything you need to know about hair removal and the possible results rather than just take my money and not educate me on anything (like some places). I give Boston Skin Solutions 5 stars and highly recommend to anyone reading this.

Bridget is great! She’s well-​qualified and has years of experience under her belt, which is why I originally placed my trust in her hands. I just wasn’t willing to trust anyone with zapping hairs off my face.
I had initially been interested in laser hair removal; however, during my consultation she really took the time to educate me about the differences between electrolysis and laser (both of which are offered at her practice) and that laser is not right for everyone. There are, much to my dismay, medical spas who will treat women with laser hair removal despite the fact that it may not work for them and could potentially CAUSE MORE HAIR TO GROW! I liked that I didn’t feel pressured to commit to an appointment or purchase a series of treatments. She seemed to genuinely have my best interest at heart.
I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed to learn that I was not a good candidate for laser, rather I was best suited to electrolysis. But, I sucked it up and started treatments.
Anyway, I have been seeing Bridget regularly for about a year now.
Electrolysis is a long, tedious process. For some people it can take weekly appointments for a year or more… Patience is key.
I think laser is appealing to a lot of women because it seems like a quick fix: instant gratification rules these days. But, alas, to truly get rid of unwanted hairs some of us are relegated to electrolysis… It is a long road, but I’m already seeing progress. Hopefully in another few months i’ll be able to scale my visits with Bridget to once every few months or even once or twice a year!
Bridget is also a lovely lady and I enjoy chatting with her.

I had electrolysis with Bridget several times. I was so thrilled that it didn’t hurt like previous treatments in other places. I should have known that if it doesn’t hurt like you want to jump off the table, something is wrong, and it was. The hair grew back in 2 days!!! Let me repeat. 2 days!!! I contemplated calling the BBB. I was and still am quite displeased.

I am from Los Angeles and moved to Boston a couple of years ago. I thought that I would not be able to find an electrolysis/​laser center that would be as good as my one in LA but I was wrong! The work done at Boston Skin Solutions is great! They are attentive, thorough, and want to get the hair out as badly as you. They are also very decently priced which is great incentive to do hair removal on all parts of yourbody!

I honestly don’t know where I’d be without Bridget. Her electrology is outstanding, probably the best in Boston. Period.
She stays on top of all the current equipment and her hydromicrodermabrasion thingy is excellent. I have wrinkles in my forehead & after leaving the treatment my forehead was totally smooth. It stayed that way for days.
Now we’re doing a combination of infrared treatments & the hydro-​microdermabrasion and my skin has never looked better. People are guessing I’m 10 years younger than I am.
If I could give her 10 stars I would. She is that good.
