History
Established in 1975.
I started my business in 1975 in Brookline MA. Those were the days when people listened to music with passion and love, and also the time when music was appreciated for more than its content; but also for its quality. It was one of the most important times for Hi-Fi and stereo equipment. The Hi-Fi industry has evolved rapidly within the past 4o years. From the Reel to Reel, to the cassette tape, to LPs, and now the digital world of recording, I have seen this evolution progress and change in my time here in Brookline. The Analog world is all but a whisper because of the digital revolution of the 90’s and 00’s. It is because of this evolution, that I have decided to keep my store as if it was 1975. Yes, the products have changed, and of course I integrate the latest technological breakthroughs in Hi-Fi stereo equipment, but I am also deeply passionate about selling and repairing vintage equipment. Not to mention that analog sounds better anyway…
Meet the Business Owner
Mikhael S.
Business Owner
Audio and music have been a hobby of mine since I was 14 years old. As a young man, I worked at an audio repair shop, and rapidly found that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After graduating engineering school, I moved to Brookline to open my own business. Sure enough, in 1975, I opened Audio Studio with a passion to share my love for music reproduction with all people who would listen. In 1978, I began to design my own loudspeakers, and demonstrated them in the CES show in Chicago. In 1981, my partner and I formally opened a new company (a corporation) call Morel Acoustic USA Inc. Since then, the company has been renamed Renaissance Audio Group (renaudio.com). I have designed many loudspeakers which have been considered to be at the higher end of the audio market. I continue this passion and drive everyday with new concepts and technologies, while still staying true to the old-school ways.
