I am so happy to have found this small antique shop in Brookline Village. It is low key with absolutely no pressure from the owner. I felt free to browse. When I did have questions the owner was helpful and honest. The store specializes in antique jewelry, with a wide price range, but I found gold hoop earrings that were very reasonable. I have also been searching for a dining room table for years. The store had a perfect Duncan Phyfe. The owner even gave me the number of a delivery service.

Fantastic antique sparklies, awful owner. If it wasn’t for the rude woman who runs this shop, I’d insist my fella purchase ALL of my gifts from this otherwise lovely store. Full of beautiful vintage baubles, attractively priced, there are hidden gems in every corner. Sadly, assistance in purchasing/inquiring about said lovelies is much harder to come by ~ the owner is a *bit* on the condescending side. Has gone from a favorite to a back up place. Perhaps if it changes hands, service will match the quality jewelery available here.

On the basis of Lindley’s review, I stopped in here to look for some jewelry for my girlfriend, who is a fan of vintage jewelry(she is taking me in the Small Pleasures store on Newbury St. all the time to ooh and ahh over things). I only saw a very small selection of jewelry displayed, and nothing interesting or exciting. Was there more somewhere else? I have no idea, since I never got any help. The woman working was very engaged in her conversation with someone who seemed to be a friend of hers. I guess I didn’t look like I had enough money to spend in her store to be worth asking if I needed help(or even to acknowledge my presence in the store).

Looking for great vintage jewelry for an extremely reasonable price? Searching all over for the perfect anti-mall engagement ring but can’t find what you are looking for? In the mood for a new bauble but don’t want to wear what everyone else has? Antique Company is your complete one-stop shop, my friends. Although it looks creaky and dusty from the outside(and in) the ladies who work in the Antique Company keep an incredible — and always changing — inventory of cool jewels, from costume(not much) to precious and semi-precious. They have some nifty diamonds — I’ve purchased a great diamond and sapphire ring there in a gorgeous antique setting that cost a fraction of what I would pay anywhere else. My sister, who was with me, bought an incredible old glass necklace that always turns heads. Antique Company is no pawn shop — so the products are high quality. Occasionally you can find an incredible bargain. They don’t advertise and have strange hours, especially in the summer. Not all the people who work there are super friendly, though — when we went, we were waited on by a super-nice woman who was really helpful, and patiently showed us ring after ring after ring until I found the right one. I went another time and the woman there wasn’t as patient. Regardless, great prices — verging on the absurd if you are a real vintage/antique enthusiast — on fantastic vintage jewelry here.
