Nik N.

Business Owner

Nik Nelson is the Founder and CEO of OpenBox Strategies. After graduating from UW-​La Crosse, Nik landed a job in at The Weekly Standard magazine in Washington, D.C. After returning to Wisconsin, he ran online marketing efforts at Summerfest before launching OpenBox Strategies. Having seen his fair share of awful political websites, Nik knew there was space in the market for creative services that balance great design with business goals and deadlines. Since its launch, OpenBox Strategies has staked its claim as a leading vendor for online political messaging execution and strategy in Wisconsin.

If Nik isn’t behind his desk or meeting with new clients, he’s binging on 30 Rock reruns, trying a new recipe he saw on Food Network, or reading popcorn fiction. If the weather looks promising and Nik has a rare few days of free time, you’ll find him camping.
