Ron A.

Manager

Dr. Ron Allen is a Board-​Certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in LASIK. He has performed more than 32,000 laser vision correction procedures in his 28 years of experience in ophthalmology. He was an investigator for the FDA monitored clinical trials of the Bausch & Lomb Technolas excimer laser, which included multiple studies that evaluated both PRK and LASIK techniques. In addition to being a key contributor to these studies, Dr. Allen was the first surgeon to perform LASIK in Racine and Kenosha.

I completely understand that having the LASIK procedure comes with reservations… It took me years to decide to even get a consultation! My co-​worker suggested I check out LASIK plus and Dr Allen for my procedure. It was the best thing a friend could recommend!
First the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and you immediately feel at ease walking in the door.
Second, Dr Allen is amazing. Not only does he call you a day or two before the procedure, but also the evening of your procedure to make sure you are doing okay. I am a nurse and let me tell you the level of care he gives to his patients is unlike any doctor I’ve ever come across. He is calm and explains things in a way that you are able to understand. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to answer your questions. He knows that people are nervous coming into the procedure and doesn’t down play how you are feeling. He explains exactly what he is doing and what you might feel during the procedure. I am so happy with the whole experience… and even better I can see without my contacts or glasses and that is just so cool!

Staff is very friendly and welcoming (especially Amanda) they answered all of my questions and explained every part of the procedure. Dr. Allen called me personally prior to said procedure to make sure that I was informed and prepared for my lasik. Due day went off without a hitch and 6 hours later I already see better than before!!! Don’t think too much about, do it and do it here! Thank you Dr. Allen and everyone a Lasik Plus in Brookfield, WI! You changed my life!

If I didn’t mention it before Dr. Ron Allen M.D. called me personally before and after my procedure to make sure I was prepared and ok after! This is the model for customer service!!!

I had an amazing experience with all of the professionals at this location. I’ve needed glasses since I was in 1st grade and have been wearing contacts since I was 15. My prescription was always very high (–7.50 right and –8.00 left) and I was always very dependent on glasses/​contacts. It is amazing to be able to see the clock and not have to worry about my boys breaking my glasses or losing my contact cases. I had PRK done on the 26th and wish I would have done it sooner. I’m so grateful to be free of contacts and glasses.

Just had Lasix procedure done this morning. As is typically normal I felt a tad nervous
Dr Allen called a few days in advance of the procedure to discuss expectations and calm any nerves
The day of the procedure was again spent on explaining expectations
The procedure itself was an absolute incredible experience The technology is state of the art and Dr Allen provides a calming effect by telling the patient how well they are doing and how much time is left at this specific point of the procedure
In less than 5 hours my vision was absolutely perfect. No discomfort at all.
Dr Allen followed up same day to see how I was doing
I wish I hadn’t waited as long as I did. That said I’m overjoyed to have had this done by Dr Allen

I had the BEST LASIK service here! I shopped around for years before finally feeling comfortable enough to have the procedure done, and I am so thankful for the team here at LASIK Plus! Everything leading up to the actual surgery was handled in the best possible way– I immediately felt comfortable with the staff. Was very nervous to have lasik eye surgery and went to multiple places to get consultations. I felt most comfortable and had the most friendly and knowledgable people at LasikPlus in Brookfield. My life is completely different now that my life is not consumed and revolving around contacts and glasses! So thankful I had all the support at this location to get through the surgery and have perfect eye sight! Recommend this to everyone!

I am one week out with LASIK with Dr. Allen and I am so happy with the results! I’m done with the antibiotic drops and my eyes feel great! Mild halos at night, but that should get better over time. Dr. Allen was very reassuring throughout the procedure (which was fast and painless), and I even received a follow up call the night of the procedure. The staff was very helpful in the planning stages, I am very happy with the results!

I finally took the leap and had LASIK eye surgery on 3÷27÷14. The staff were all very professional but also very personable. It was not purely business conversation which made me feel like it wasn’t «scripted» conversation. They all had smiles and great personalities to go along with it. Everyone introduced themselves and how they were going to help me. I was given updates while waiting and knew everything that was going to happen. I felt very prepared and educated for the upcoming procedure and post op expectations and was even was given an opportunity to see a few procedures before mine if I wanted to. I knew just what to expect, especially because I had 2 sweet staff members standing at my side explaining everything as I was watching a procedure before mine. There were snacks and beverages for my guest as he waited. I even received a follow up phone call from the surgeon, Dr. Allen the night of my procedure to make sure I was feeling well and knew what to expect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking into Lasik! Thank you Jayme, Shannon, Cheryl, Kate, Gayle, Dr. Allen, and Dr. Makela for the A+++ service. Lasik Plus truly demonstrated what all excellent health care services should.

Well ladies and gentleman I have finally had my other eye done. (This was for cataracts). Thank You God!!! I now have 20⁄20 crystal clear vision. The second surgery went as perfect as the first. I am sooooo very grateful! I can never thank the best doctor in the world… Dr. Allen enough. I feel like I have gained 20 years back on my life. The gift of vision is, in my humble opinion one of the greatest gifts of life, and to have it fully and perfectly restored is truly a miracle. I would also like to thank his very talented and dedicated staff for their kindness and generosity toward me when I was at the office. They have water and treats always there for you. It’s like checking into a great hotel suite. Thank you all, for your very best in service. I told the staff that if anyone ever wants to call me to discuss their possible surgery to give them my number and I would be happy to explain how wonderfully it all goes, even if you’re very afraid.

Had my eyes done in 2001 and have been very happy with it.
The only gripe I have to say is that right before the procedure they tell you your closer vision may be worse after getting the further vision corrected. So minutes before the procedure they ask if you want mono vision where they don’t correct as much so the closer vision is not as bad. I choose not to do that and now I need to wear reading glasses. I didn’t like the fact that they popped that question in such a last minute timely manner which didn’t give me much time to decide such an important decision.

LasikPlus is very very professional. Dr. Allen performed by surgery, and was very calm, soothing, and reassuring throughout. The entire procedure might be a couple of minutes, but it definitely felt like a very long time, and Dr. Allen certainly helped to alleviate the fear during the procedure. He explained every step of the way what he was doing, and what it would feel like.
LasikPlus did very well in explaining my options pre-​op, no upselling or strongarming. The post-​op visits were very informative, and I always felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Allen was not the follow up doctor, and I forget what that doctor’s name was, but he was great too. I always felt that my recovery was progressive and well monitored.
I would certainly recommend them.
I underwent PRK as I had thinner corneas than most, and the first three days were the most painful. I had a lot of sensitivity to light, and it took me at least 10 days or so before I was able to confidently walk around with ok vision. It was at least a month before I felt like my vision was approaching normal.
It has been about 6 months now, and my vision has been great. I have been wearing glasses since I was 6, and this is definitely a worthwhile investment.

I had LASIK eye surgery on 10÷4÷12 with Dr. Ronald Allen. He was probably the nicest doctor I’ve ever met. He was very patient and explained everything step by step that would be happening during my procedure. We got started on my procedure with a teddy bear he gave me to hold. The procedure was super quick (maybe 2 mins) and painless. I had immediate results. My vision was a little foggy that day, but all perfectly normal. Dr. Allen called that night to check on me. What a sweet doctor! Today is day two and that is gone. Seeing perfectly! I am so happy and would defiantly recommend this procedure only to be done by this board certified doctor! I wish I would have done this years before!!! Best thing I’ve ever done!
