The food was great. Crispy duck rolls were good and the sushi is very good. The entrees(sesame chicken and pad Thai) were both really good. The problem is that the ambiance is bad. It was empty and the waitress just stood by me making it a bit uncomfortable. It was complicated to order as well. I would say it is a take out establishment with better than average Asian food.

Egg Drop soup is the best around… Was not happy w/the Bento boxes(too much sushi not enough beef), however the general Tso’s chicken is amazing! Clean place and they are always friendly!

We’ve done a lot of takeout from them over the last two months while we were renovating our kitchen. Their dinner menu is fine for what it is but they don’t have any healthy options on the lunch menu. Good luck finding something that isn’t stir fried or comes in a heavy sauce.

I’ve been to this place since the first week it opened since I live not far from it. I come here nearly once a week if not more and it’s always consistently excellent. Since I’m a sushi fan, I usually have sushi when I come and it’s always super fresh and tasty as it should be. I often come with people who want to order cooked food and the many times we have, it’s been extremely good. They have a great chef who has excellent taste and can run a restaurant very well. The Pad Thai was spot on, so was the tempura and the soups & noodle dishes. This is my new regular spot to eat, so I’ll update if anything changes. P. S. — for you chili sauce lovers like me, ask them for the chili sauce that they make up in the kitchen, it’s perfect! And another confirmation that the chef is a master of the craft.

The good: fried dumplings had a thin wrapper and not too heavy. Hot and sour soup was good, not gelatinous. 4 bonus pieces of California roll(nice touch) The bad: boneless spare ribs too glazed and had an off taste. Pork fried rice was soggy brown rice with steamed pork and no other veggies or egg. Really bad. Curry chicken was a gelatinous mess. So slimy and flavorless… Yuck. Too bad, we go to Toro in Newtown and were hoping for good food closer. Oh well.

Well, we got this menu dropped off in our mailbox. We get a lot of them, so no big deal. But it was an Asian Fusion menu, and we’ve not found a good Chinese or Thai as yet in the area. We were a bit hungry late, and they were open. So why not give it a whirl! Ordered Tom Yum soup and Thai chicken sticks. Really good! So, after that trial balloon, we were out the next evening. After finishing our scheduled tasks, of course we’re hungry again. It happened that we were passing Housaku on our way home. So we stopped in for dinner. On our way in, a family was leaving and they said to us strangers, «Wow, this place is great! You’re gonna love it!» Coconut soup, Drunken noodle for her, Avocado salad, red curry for me. Fantastic! Again, third night in a row, we ordered a BIG take-out order to try some more things along with some of the other already favorites. ALLWONDERFUL. Check it out soon! You’ll be back!

I’m hooked! Great all around experience! Finally a good Asian Fusion restaurant hits Brookfield. I consider myself a food and restaurant snob. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. I tried many dishes at Housaku and have yet to be disappointed. The sushi is fresh and made to order. Housaku does not pack the rice on allowing for the full experience of the sushi the way it is meant to be. The teriyaki dishes are awesome and the Chinese food is delicious. This compares to some of the restaurants in NYC that I’ve been to where you pay the«big bucks». The place is clean from the dining area to the kitchen.(yes, I check out the kitchen in every restaurant I patronize.) Go to Housaku today and try it out. Prepare to get hooked. Oh yeah… check out the gallery on their site. The dishes are picture perfect!

Outstanding! We are always on the look out for good Asian food, particularly Chinese food. Most of my regular places in Danbury and Brookfield are dated and past their prime. This place is new and the food was great. Probably the best General Tso chicken I have had in a long time. We did a couple of spiny tuna rolls which were also great. As for not being five stars, my oh my, the ambiance needs a makeover. Dining out is food AND atmosphere and this place needs some help. It’s too bright, needs four-top tables in the middle, the register needs to be in the front with a nice screen to separate the dining area some. I don’t know of ANY good dine-in restaurant where the take-out customers have to walk through the dining room to get the food. If the goal is takeout only, well-done! But I assume it’s not. There are some easy fixes to make this place really great.

I tried this place 2 weeks ago for the first time and ordered the general tsaos chicken some sushi pad tai, spare ribs and enjoyed every single one. The people there are very friendly although the place could use some décor or a different wall color but besides that I’ll be ordering here from now on.

I found a coupon in Best of the Best Coupon Magazine so I wanted to give it a try. I had been looking for a table service Asian restaurant for a while and I finally found it. It’s clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was awesome. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, everything was prepared perfectly and I really enjoyed their fried rice. One opportunity for improvement — the atmosphere felt a little bland, maybe some light background music or some additional art on the walls but overall it felt contemporary, and cool. Would I go back? Yes!

Serving Japanese, Thai and Chinese food. It always makes me wonder when a restaurant that offer a such diverse menu as that as to what kind of a restaurant it truly is. With an open mind, I came here for the first time just to see what these Unilocalers are raving about. I get that they’re new so when I walk in I can’t expect it to be really busy. It was lunchtime during my visit and only one customer came in for a pick up. They had no other clientele. I had the Kani salad and it was decent. I also had the crispy calamari squid and it was very bland. It was a disappointment. I found myself scrapping the outside off and just eating the squids. I ordered some sashimi and was surprised that their sashimi order is one piece per order. Most restaurants give you 2 – 3 pieces, but no, just one here. Nothing really stood out for me. Not the service, not the food and not the décor. I doubt that I’ll be coming here again. There are many places around that are much better.

I am so excited about this place!!! Housaka has the best of everything in one– Chinese, Thai, and Sushi!!! I’ve gotten take out twice now and each time the portion is generous and even the take out presentation is lovely! I got the pad Thai which was wonderful and the Thai fried rice on another night and both dishes were flavorful and perfect! Staff have been lovely and respectful! I was watching the Sushi Master work on something delightful and took a picture of it before he was finished-it looked glorious before he was even done! Thank You Housaka for bringing something fabulous to Brookfield!

We usually go to NYC for great Asian food. No more! This place is the best! Good, service, presentation. Great sushi, Thai and traditional Chinese and Japanese. Dumplings to die for. I’m embarrassed to say how many times we’ve been there since opening!!! Best restaurant in the area!

Amazing food. I came here with my brother’s family after too much ice cream, and still cleaned my plate here. The sushi was wonderfully presented, my kung pao chicken was great, and the staff is really friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we will be back again, which, actually, is the best compliment of all.

Pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh. Prepared very well. The dumplings were perfectly cooked — crispy and the perfect size. The sushi was great. The chicken and Chinese eggplant was cooked perfectly had an excellent balance of flavor. I’m coming back.
