Other services include: Servers, VoIP, and Sales. We offer Phone Support, Remote Support, Carry In Support, and Monthly Service plans for both Small Business and Residents.

Our job is to produce happy clients. We do that by providing the highest quality technical services, but also by communicating regularly, guaranteeing our work, and pricing our services reasonably. Whether you have a cracked screen, slow running computer with too many pop-​ups, or think you may have lost files, don’t throw your PC out the window, call us!

Established in 2007.

The business began in 2007 with a vision to help local businesses and residents with IT services. Prior to opening, Rick, our owner, had over 20 years of large corporate IT experience where there is no time for down time. Rick is well know in the Northern Fairfield County community as a member of several business groups and a former board member of the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.

Business Owner

Rick has over 7 years of experience serving Greater Danbury businesses. Prior to assisting local business, Rick has over 20 years of large corporate IT experience where there is no time for down time. Rick is our primary on-​site technology specialist and is well known in the Northern Fairfield County community as a member of several business groups and a former board member of the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Rick holds an MBA in Technology Management, which helps him relate Technology Strategies to Business Needs. Outside of CTS-​Danbury, Rick is active with scouting and enjoys golf, hiking, camping and boating.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Computer Troubleshooters of Danbury. They have solved several of my computer issues over the phone within minutes. They are professional, courteous and the owner, Rick Van Akin, has a sense of humor about us computer– challenged folks. Follow his Facebook for a good chuckle and use this company for all you computer and server needs. Excellent staff as well! He hires nothing but the best experts in their field.

I have been using Rick and his team for years and they are the best. I do not have the luxury to have my computer down and when I call they are right on it. They are amazing and do what they have to make sure that everything is fixed and perfect. I don’t know a company or person that shouldn’t use them. They are the best and an asset to have in your corner.

I brought my computer to have information from my older computer transferred over. Aside from keeping it longer than promised when I logged on information was missing, which is what they were supposed to transfer. I struggled and then called them. They took over control and showed me where my missing files were; not where they should have been and when I asked about it the owner said he gave it to someone not familiar with the system I had. Instead of giving it to someone who knew what they were doing they gave it to a rookie. Settings were incorrect on my homepage, which indicated that I lived in Austin, Texas including the wrong time and date. I am still struggling to find my missing files. Don’t get me started on my email account, which was gone. All the saved emails that were important are gone and I’m missing many email addresses. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. The owner hung up on me during one conversation because he didn’t like my review of his business. This is a terribly unprofessional business and I urge you to stay away. There are too many other choices out there who would do a better job. I know this because I now have to take my computer over to Denna Computers, down the road, to fix the mess.
