Established in 2006.

After 20 years as a Four Diamond Embassy Suites Hotel in Brookfield, WI the Brookfield Suites Hotel & Convention Center was created. This Independant Hotel was a venture created with the opportunity to break away from the conventional hotel experience and provide a level of service unmatched by other hotel chains. The Brookfield Suites Hotel & Convention Center offers guests a warm inviting stay with more ammenities and conveniences then other hotels. We strive to make every guest stay enjoyable and help to remove the frustrations of travel.

Matt Drusch is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Brookfield Suites Hotel & Convention Center. WIth over 10 years experience in Sales 6 with the Brookfield Suites Hotel, Mr. Drusch works hard to insure that all guests are treated like VIP’s and that every stay is enjoyable. As the Sales Director Mr. Drusch is responsible for handling all events and groups that host there meetings, weddings or social gatherings. Has a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) Mr. Drusch can offer a great deal of knowledge when planning your next event or overnight group.

Took a 1.5 hour Amtrak train ride from Chicago to Milwaukee. Got picked up by great friends, enjoyed great conversation and tasted great food. Great friends drop me off at the nearest #10 bus stop adjacent to E. North Avenue in Milwaukee.
As I stood at the bus stop for about 10 seconds I asked the other gentleman I was standing with if this bus went «west»? He responded, «no, this bus goes north». As I was trying to wrap my mind around this apparent paradox, a bus pulled up on the other side of the street to pick up passengers– he then continued his response, «.. . and east». At this point as I see the #10 bus close its door and increase acceleration at a snail’s pace– I imagined myself doing a full-​blown sprint through traffic on Humboldt to catch the bus, banging on the windows with the bus driver reluctantly pulling over to pick me up and drive me to Brookfield Square. The very next second I was reserved to just walk across the street and waiting 35 minutes for the next #10 bus to Brookfield Square.
I knew the next bus would put me in a predicament, my timeline for arriving at the wedding ceremony on time was in danger.
Anyway, I got to the hotel and instead of them calling a cab and then me being potentially late, the HERO concierge/​desk attendant drove me to the wedding in the hotel van. This place is the best and I have had the draft of this Unilocal review in my box since 2013 (its 2016 now).

I stayed at this facility for a few days recently. Don’t make the same mistake. Once I checked in, I quickly learned the floor I was on was under construction and the noise wad annoying. I couldn’t figure out why I was there, since the place was empty. Then, the front lobby was closed and a makeshift entrance was made. That will be the case for a month.
No mention on the website that the place is under renovation. I learned embassy suites is taking over the property in August, and the place will be under renovation till then. No mention on the website about all of this.
Housekeeping was slow. I asked for a early checkout and I was getting ready, heard someone at the door. They had already given my room to someone else, and I did not check out! Third rate! The room was also outdated, no dishes for the kitchenette or glasses. Defeated the whole purpose of it!
Officially christening this has a dump!

Room had no working lights. Smells like urine. Furniture is from 1975. At $ 60 (regular $ 150l it is still a rip off. Stay away until there is new ownership. Shame on you Priceline.

Do not go here. Blood on wall in bathroom. Hair on phone in room and bathroom counters. Open safety pin in second room. Couldn’t see through water in pool. Couches torn floors not cleaned at all.

The breakfast and happy hour are great but the service is terrible. Our room was barely clean during our whole stay and we had to ask the front desk for clean towels every day because housekeeping was so bad. It’s gross to think if they ever really clean.

We stayed here a few times while house hunting. The room was nice, clean, quiet, and roomy. We had an issue with the A/​C and to our delight there was a maintenance guy on site late on a Saturday evening. Had it fixed in 5 minutes.
There’s a pool, plenty of parking, free breakfast, business area, guest laundry, and a 24 hour desk that sells snacks, soda, etc. Bonus, they are also pet friendly!
The staff is very friendly. The location is very convenient for shopping and dining. No complaints.

Terrible experience! I didn’t have high expectations for the Brookfield Suites, but I didn’t expect it would be this awful. When we first arrived we had to wait about 20 minutes to check-​in which was fine, but we come to find out they didn’t have a clean room. Ok, we can be patient since they said we’d only have to wait 15 minutes. 30 minutes passed so we tried again… still no room. They said it would be another 25 minutes and when we came back another time there was no one at the desk to help us! Finally someone behind the desk appeared and said he had our room, but then he said he’d be right back to help us out, but he disappeared again for 20 minutes! Ridiculous. After about 2 hours of waiting with no apology, we got our room.
While we were waiting in line at the front desk, we also heard people complain about keys not working, backed up sinks, and unmade rooms that were supposed to be cleaned. Nice accommodations, huh?
This place obviously doesn’t value customer service whatsoever, which is disappointing. Any other hotel in the area has to be better.

We would stay here again, but certainly, there’s room for improvement. The employees we came in contact with were very helpful — there just weren’t enough of them! We had trouble when we made the reservation with a Living Social deal. The description listed NO block out days/​weekends, yet when I tried to make a one night reservation they said it was blocked. I fought it and talked to a manager and was allowed to make the reservation. If there are blockout dates, i.e. Brewers/​Cubs games, put it in the description. Customer Service came into play during my reservation experience as well, as the ONE person at the front desk was responsible for checking out 130 guest rooms! She was great, but they needed several more like her. Same thing on check-​in. 6 or 8 people in line at 4:30pm, and one person checking guests in. There was the name of a ‘manager-​on-​duty’ listed, but no sign that he was around to help. He should have been out there helping in some way. Also, moments after we got to our room — #531 — someone else opened the door with a key and said they were just told that it was their room. If there were more people t the front desk, I feel that these mistakes would not happen. The other people left, but I have no idea whether or not they got a room!
The breakfast was more than we ever imagined! Made to order EVERYTHING! Fresh, hot, delicious. We would stay again, but honestly, if there are blocked out dates/​weekends, put them in the Living Social description, or you will have to argue with me again!

I was very impressed with the hotel. The front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming.
She checked me and my husband and our dog in quickly and called my room shortly after checking in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
Our room has a separate bedroom with its own TV and desk with mirror and then there was a living room with a TV and a hide a bed.
The hotel was very clean and staff were pleasant to deal with.
Our first evening there we enjoy free drinks courtesy of the managers reception. The bartender was helpful and chatty.
The breakfast is superb. You can choose from their made-​to-​order breakfast (French toast, omelet, pancakes, etc) or their ready made buffet of cheesy eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, etc.
I would definitely stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
After the third try I ended up in a place to stay the night. The first room had a sound like insects or bats crawling around in the ventilation system. The second smelled and felt like I was in an indoor pool. Both had stained carpet, dirty bathrooms. The room I ended up in had a used, dirty washcloth from the previous (or one before that) person. The bathtub wasn’t clean. The heater was on and it was 78 degrees in my room with no way to switch it to cool.
Overall the place is very tired and not kept well. There are several other hotels in the area. Stay at one of those. I don’t give bad review on Unilocal.I give good reviews for great products and services. It has to be beyond bad for me to post something bad. This is beyond bad and I haven’t even touched on everything.

Pool was just standard indoor pool with hot tub and sauna. Steam room was out of order.

This hotel is very out dated. All the appliances and décor are very old. The water pressure was low and and did not get very hot in the shower. The television in the bedroom was a very old tube TV. I was disappointed that this hotel was rated so highly on some hotel sites… The positive was the breakfast was made to order omelets. I would not stay at this hotel again

To start with, the bar staff was WONDERFUL!, especially Brendan. We enjoyed FREE cocktails/​snack table (5:30−7:30). The «king suite» concept was great, providing 2 separate rooms with tv’s, a kitchenette and bathroom. My husband and I brought 2 older teens, so that was nice.
So why 2 stars? We had to switch rooms 3 times upon arrival. First room, dried up pee on toilet seat. Second room smelled bad and was dirty. Opened the sofa bed first. The glass coffee table literally fell apart and the mattress had a large WET spot! UGH. They gave us the first room back, after the bathroom was «cleaned» (ok, she wiped off the toilet). Front desk staff… Nice, but seriously… I expected an apology. We spent over ½ hr back and forth to get a room.
They deliver cots for our teens (no more sofa bed stuff for us) and extra sheets to cover the stained, dirty furniture so we could sit on it.
Pool & Hot Tub… undesirable. We didn’t even touch that water. No way. The exercise room — kinda dirty furniture, floor, etc., but equipment was nice and clean. The steam room didn’t work because the door wouldn’t even close. It was pretty disgusting. The sauna was good enough to enjoy.
Coffee supplies in room not stocked. 2 Decafs and Zero Reg. 1 cream and sugar. FREE HOT breakfast in the café was excellent but the coffee was watery and tasteless.
Need updates, but seriously… Just some GOOD HOUSEKEEPING would do. Dirt and cobwebs all over stained carpet, walls, and ceilings. Faucets falling apart. Missing stopper in sink. Fritos and fake fingernails on the stained sofa and chair cushions (EWE!). I could go on forever…

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights when we relocated to Milwaukee from Rochester, NY. I will preface the review by letting you know we got a deal on Priceline and only paid $ 60/​night for our stay.
We had our pug with us and the staff was very accommodating and they have a reasonable pet policy.
Do to having the dog they gave us a first floor king suite near the side door where the pet area outside is located. This was handy.
The room is huge and comfortable. Like other reviewers have mentioned it is quite dated, however it is clean.
The wifi is free but very weak. There is no wired option in the room so if you want to work or stream videos you are screwed.
Shower is very low. I am 5’4″ and have to crouch down. Turned the hot water all the way up and it was just barely hot enough.
Not enough wall outlets to plug in devices in the bedroom. Again this is part of the dated feel. It was last updated in a day when cell phones and laptops and tablets didn’t even exist
Free breakfast is not good. I don’t want to complain about free but good lord is it bad. Coffee is awful too.
Housekeeping never showed up. Not once. I guess when you have a dog registered in your room it’s ok to skip it, even when you leave and take the dog with you.
I have a lot of complaints but for the price we paid it was still comfortable and the staff is friendly. If we had paid $ 100+ I would gave less stars

The staff are still very nice but this place is cheap cheap cheap. Premade Nescafé coffee is heated and served! Pancakes, waffles and French toast are frozen. Happy hour drinks served in plastic cups. They we’re better years ago. Is this type of cost cutting really necessary? There are also routine issues with showers, toilets and heating. Why keep coming back? Price, location and pleasant staff. If not for the annoyances, staying here would be a treat. Time for a makeover!

I have been putting this review off for a while, but I want to help others in a similar situation. I flew into MKE late, arriving at the hotel around 1am. When I approached the counter, I knew right away that something was not right. The employee was very confused. I had a confirmation number… details for my stay, all booked through a third party. He could not find it. After 20 minutes staring at his computer (at 1am! I had a 8am meeting), he finally got to the point where he processed my reservation. I got to my room… the key did not work. Had to walk back two more times before he had to walk me up and let me in.
The room was fine, quiet… nice free wifi and the breakfast was great… but
When I can back the next afternoon for my second night stay, they had checked me out and completely lost my reservation… and the hotel was now booked. I was left standing there with no place to stay. I had to drive around and find another hotel to stay in.
I have never experienced anything like that in my entire life.
I will be staying at other establishments moving forward!

Booked a King suite on
based on some reviews. (I am posting this on their site as well)
Place is very dated, in much need of some improvements. Elevators are slow. So we get our suite, first night, one room is cool the other room is warm, so we deal with it, as we got to the hotel late. Inquired about it the next morning, apparently a previous guest in the room felt it was to cold so maintenance put the heat on in half the suite, and A/​C in the other. Who needs heat in the middle of summer. Went to go make coffee the next morning. That was a non starter. Previous guest made coffee, left the filter in the coffee maker. Been there so long it had mold growing on it. Took it down to the front desk. Was told it would be taken care of that day, It was not taken care of had to deal with this the next morning as well.
The «Free» breakfast. Yea its included in the room rate, trust me you are paying a lot for it. No value here, Would much rather go down the street than eat their idea of breakfast.
Sunday morning, Housekeeping trying to clean our room at 8:30 in the morning. Really. Who starts trying to clean rooms with guest in it at 8:30 in the morning on a Sunday. Further to that, I asked her to come back later in the day as my wife was still sleeping. We go out for the day, we come back at 11PM and guess what, It was never done.
Will never stay here again. And forget about the idea of taking a hot shower, those do not exist in this hotel.

Good value for what you get. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free breakfast, free happy hour, free parking, and free wifi. You can’t go wrong. It’s not the fanciest hotel ever, but overall we were very satisfied. If in the area again– we would stay there.

My wife and I stayed here for a Brewers Game on a Saturday night. The room was spacious (King Suite). I found the hotel décor to be dated. The inside has a lot of potential to be very nice with its atrium and all. The customer service desk was just ok.
I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I knew they made updates to the rooms.

So, I stayed here free in the penthouse suite with some friends. The room was really dated (early 80s vibe) with wall paper peeling off, the mattress needed to be replaced years ago, and the entertainment system in the main room didn’t fully work. Wires were strewn about. The room had a couple semi-​redeeming qualities: updated bathrooms, a wet bar, and a conference table. The wet bar area looked like it used to have a full sized fridge, but now there is just an empty hole for one. The free wi-​fi was nice.
There was free alcohol provided at night, but the drink I got was gross. I passed by the Chameleon beer, but I wish I would have gotten that, as that was drinkable. Getting to the free party at night was a pain, as we had to walk through a wedding reception to get to it. Really? Such a bad layout for that area.
Breakfast was a nightmare. Again, it was free, but the staff (other than the 2 short order cooks) had no idea what they were doing. Trying to get a fork or spoon so I could eat my food proved very difficult.
The photos don’t portray what’s going on here… run far away! I would never stay here again.
