The Farm at Our House is certified organic farm committed to growing mixed vegetables, pastured eggs and small fruit sustainably. We also have a social mission to help the young men at Our House Inc. foster a love for agriculture and the environment all the while developing work readiness skills. We love farming, value our costumers as though they are family and always remember to laugh.

History

Established in 2007.

The Farm at Our House was founded by John Brill who had a vision to offer sustainably grown produce at affordable prices. In 2008 John partnered with Marc Grossman and since then the farm has grown from just a ¹⁄₃^rd of an acre to 16 acres, 6 of which are cultivated. To this day we work with aspiring farmers to grow food ecologically.

Besides farming I am a Social Studies at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring. I was drawn to gardening by my father who to this day maintains a large vegetable garden and upon returning to the US after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia I worked and learned how to farm at the Stratford Ecological Center in Delaware, Ohio. Most significantly I am married to a loving and supportive wife, Katherine, and together we have two children– Asher and Maya.
