Complete PIECE OF CRAP. MANAGEMENT sucks, rooms DIRTY, TV HANGING OFF THE WALL & the door ripped off the «wardrobe closet». Over priced. No towels provided. Pieces of hair entangled in the washcloth I had to specially request. Smells like WEED. Prostitutes & pimps galore! THIS PLACE SUCKS

so i used to be in nyc *very* often and needed cheap overnight lodging as i had no one to crash with at the time. this hotel fit the bill, being under $ 90 a night during the week. at first, i focused on the positives — low price, short (albeit dangerous!!) walk to/​from the 6 train (free and ample parking if you drive, which is a rarity in nyc), user friendly public computer (i needed to use the printer a few times), free breakfast. but the negatives outweigh the positives, and while i last stayed here in 2012, you can see from all the other reviews, which are more recent, that this place is still a shithole. sketchy location, rodents, cockroaches, unclean, consistently upset customers… the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was my last and final stay there, when apparently my shower was leaking and a staff member banged on my door to tell me (i was taking a shower at the time). because clearly it is my fault they don’t take care of their plumbing and i should stop taking a shower in a room i paid for because of this.
if you stay in nyc often, you know to hunt around for better deals, and if you come only once in a while, you deserve to treat yourself to something better.

THE most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Stains (splatter marks) all over the walls. The carpet was filthy and seemed as though hadn’t been washed much less vacuumed in years. I found bits of jewelry, coffee stirrers from previous guests on the floor. I wouldn’t dare even take my socks off. One tiny trash can in the room (non in bathroom). Refrigerator was broken. One of the beds, bed skirt had marker marks all over it, the other bed didn’t even have a bed skirt. One of the beds was completely misshaped and dented really bad down the middle. Cracked bathroom sink and ants roaming all over the bathroom floor. Just nasty… I’ll be requesting a refund. We were originally planning on staying for two nights but left immediately the first morning. When we told the girl who checked us out why were leaving she didn’t question who, what, when or why… Instead gave us attitude. DO NOT stay here!

Ladies when you go there you waiting for your man to come check me on a TV and a microwave in the fridge combination check around your room for mouse traps. Dude if you bring a girl there make sure that she’s not terrified of my Rats & mouse because then you ain’t getting none cuz she’s going to be thinking about that s*** all night okay. 168 a night yeah right. The staff there is good the front of peoples it was nice Raja one of the front desk people is alright… It was good nights every night until I saw that mouse that night. Besides that I personally would never stay there with the rodent infestation. Then again to think about it there was remodeling but still that’s no excuse. And if you gets certain rooms you get the window you can see the Hudson River in the back. And you might want to ask them not to put next to the elevator cuz then you’ll hear it all night The working of a machine. They had cable basic was able to watch some football games. And each floor had different things one had the vending machines& the another ice lol basement had the breakfast. I got to say breakfast was good it beats dry cold cereal like some other places I’ve been to. It wasn’t much but they have some hot stuff coffee tea some danishes it starts at 630 and 830 or 9 11:00 is check out check in is like 3 and the make you wait. Regular days is like $ 90 weekends is like 150 after taxes 162 if you walking is a long walk down by the highway but it in the cut. So that’s good well it was fun while it lasted

Seedy. Dirty. Don’t stay here. They couldn’t find our online reservation and I wish we had just found a new hotel. I can’t even believe this is a Sheridan Hotel! The bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom smelled of dirty laundry. The vending machine only had root beer and crackers in it and all hopes for even a bottled water was lost.

DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. Dirty wash cloth in shower, floor obviously not vacuumed, whats left of a dime bag of weed on the floor… only as a last resort. Welcome to the Bronx. Don’t be shocked by the hookers and lack of cleanliness.
ONLY IF THERE IS NO OTHER ROOM ON THE PLANET. Avoid like the plague…

The absolute worst hotel stinks that carpet and worst of all there was a rack in our room had to check out at 3:45 AM and then They couldn’t immediately authorize a refund #NeverComeHere

Worst hotel experience ever. Every room reeks of old cigarettes. They tried to spray some toxic-​smelling «air freshener» in the room and pass it off for a non-​smoking room. When I asked for a refund, the manager (who was irritable, probably due to the sad and ridiculous nature of his job) refused. The elevator sounds like it is going fall any moment. The carpets in the hallways are stained with various substances. Every door is dented from people kicking them in. This hotel confirms the sad truth that there are many parts of the US that are worse off than many developing nations. I have been to many hotels in the poorest parts of the world much nicer than this hotel. I actually felt in danger here. This hotel is not worth paying for and, quite frankly, should be shut down for safety and sanitary reasons.

I saw reviews and i had impressed about this hotel. This hotel is below the standard and not worth ti pay $ 50 also. They dont have any facility. They hv vending mschine but no water stock. I didnt get a single water bottle in a hotel and they said it is out of stock. Wifi was down for entire stay. I am wonder… Was working before?
Elevator was not working for half day.
Stay here when entire NY doesnt have any room.

I travel to NY quiet frequently and have stayed at many hotels but this hotel was by far the worst hotel i have came across. The management is very unprofessional, made us wait in the waiting for 15 mins as they were trying to figure out what to do with the family who was in front of us who had reserved their room online but couldnt find them a room as they were all full. The room itself was full of air freshener scent and it was very uncomfortable. The corridors smelt really bad, it seemed like someone had been smoking in the hallways. Also, the bedsheets smelt really bad! I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. The only thing that was good about the hotel was it’s parking, other than that, you’re gonna get your money’s worth at a better hotel.
