I use to enjoy getting my nails done at whiskey and Sammy but was really disturb for their lack of respect with people’s time. For example: I’ve gone there several Sunday and always ends up waiting an hour later from when they were suppose to open up. So instead of opening at 10:00 they decide to open at 11:00 with no consideration who waiting or not. I was so upset and asked one of the owners Cindy for a discount since I waited an extra hour for them to open and she did not budge. With her nasty and disregard for my time I left without providing her with a tip and never came back again. Being an owner doesn’t give you the right to make your clients wait an extra hour from the time you’re suppose to open. Prefer to deal with owners that provide respect for their client so with that said good riddance.

Not sure what happened here. I used to love these guys when they were on Ellis and was surprised to see their storefront near Castle Hill. I run in for a mani and the lady begins to brush oil on my cuticles then pulls out her cuticlue cutters. I asked about the soak — Who does manicures without soaking first?! She replies that they don’t do that here anymore. $ 7 mani, $ 2 tip(shameful for me, I tip big) Manicurist was nice but no thanks — I pass

This place only gets one star cause the girl did a good job on the nail art. I went here for the first time for a pedicure. First of all when I walked in the salon smelled so strong of acrylic and the air condition was off, there for it seemed stronger then usual at other salons. As I waited for someone to take me to the pedicure chair I watched and looked around, the salon was so dirty I was really scared but I wanted to give the nal tech a chance. after her lunch break she took me to a pedicure station and in it was water half way full and it was a blue color, she told me to put my feet in it and I asked her if the water was clean and she said yes the other person didn’t show up so it was ready for a walk in. I put my feet in and she motioned for me so she can take off my polish. The whole time she was working on my feet she was on her cell phone andnot once did she look up at me. When she went to get her cutical nippers I noticed that she just took it off of her desk and not out of a sanitizing solution. I ending up not sticking my toes into the water in fear of a fungus from a dirty pedicure bowl and the nasty filters from the jets… after she polished my nails I sat in the dryer and watched her drain the water that I had my feet in and just filled it up with water and pedicure soap and placed the next clients feet in it without running any type of cleaning products through the jets. this place is nasty, I would be terrified if I was you. This salon is one of the many salons that could give you an infection or fungus. Stay away.

I’ve been a huge fan of Sammy & Whiskey since their early days on Ellis Ave. And their new location is really great! It’s much bigger, brighter and they have two tvs. They are as usual– awesome with nails. I live in Queens now and I only trust Sammy & Whiskey with my nails. They get it right every time and I’m willing to travel here for their service. Plus, the nail color selection is awesome. Sophie was really sweet and did a fabulous job on my nails. They also do waxing among other staple nail salon services. I love how kid friendly they are! I decided to bring my 5 year old sister along to give her a «big girl» experience and was so surprised at how accommodating they were. Massaging pedicure chairs FTW! TIPS: They have a kids pedicure chair! Adorable! Kids get mani & pedis at discounted prices. Mani & Pedi — $ 20 If you forgot to bring flip flops, they offer cheapie flip flops for $ 2, even kids sizes! Open 10am to 7:30pm M-F Sunday 10am to 4:30pm $ 10 minimum for Credit Cards
