The Jerome Ave. Morton Williams store personnel are very rude, and are not aware of their legal obligations to the consumer. I strongly recommend that you shop elsewhere. This store refused to accept back my returnable bottle containers, and sent me packing with them back home. This store was happy enough to sell me the beverage containers, but when the time came to my refund my container deposit, they rejected me. This is dishonest and illegal behavior.

It’s clean and the hot food is good. Overall the cashiers are rude. The food is OVERPRICED. I don’t mean a little overpriced. It’s sometimes double the price in the store. Some examples, Pampers that are usually $ 8 – 12 in another store, but it is $ 16 – 18 in Mortons. Grated Parmesan cheese is about $ 3, but it is $ 8 in Mortons. Also, there meat department is a joke. I just moved to this area and couldn’t believe they charged this much for the same products. I rather travel to my old neighborhood and go to Stop & Shop. Better deals and friendly staff.

If you’re ok with paying outrageous prices for your groceries, then this is the place to go. They do have a great selection of food and they also have a buffet, but still prices are way too high. I gave it 2 stars because that’s the only place I can find my avocados year round.

Went in was told by one cashier that she could not give my cash back from the atm debit card purchase. Went to the cashier next to her and she told me that they didn’t give cash back «on Wednesdays» since there was no sign and the first cashier told me something different, I can only assume that they’re selectively deciding when and to whom to allow cash back at that store. Give the other reviews it’s not difficult to believe that the staff and management their are racist and untrained in customer service’

If you’re not Dominican don’t come here. If you like rude and horrible customer service especially from the mostly Dominican cashiers this is the place for you. Unless you are Dominican you will not get a hello/​good morning/​thank you for shopping here from the cashiers. They look you over like they are the FBI and talk about your clothes hair nails makeup etc. Even though I live two blocks away I will gladly walk to the compare food supermarket which is a good five blocks away. They are friendly and courteous to everyone even if you are not Dominican.

I’ve been coming here for grub for six years at the time of this review. The buffet in the back is a fantastic find in the neighborhood, if you want to grab and go. Sometimes the selection doesn’t always appear to be the healthiest of choices, especially later when things have been picked over. But the market can’t be blamed for the etiquette of its patrons. I’ve partaken in the breakfast and dinner selections, and usually you can find something to your liking. Fried chicken is usually a welcomed sight given the lack of a KFC in the hood. And the other options for chicken seem less than healthy. They also make some primo sandwiches behind the counter, so keep that in mind.
Other than that, the shelves are always neatly stocked with whatever products you’re searching for.

I don’t know who makes the homestyle bread pudding here but it is always good just pop it in the microwave and it’s even better! The buffet food is delicious too!

This is my neighbor supermarket and I have to stay its one of the best. The selves are always stocked, the meat is always fresh and there buffet food is always fresh, the area is clean and the staff is always willing to help you. Also the manager is very friendly and always willing to order something for you if they do not have it. There hours of 7:00 am to 10:00pm is great.

Employees are racists and inconsiderate. I over heard them talking about the customers using food stamps! How insulting towards their own people and the community. Everyone needs more training in their delivery of customer service skills.

This place is fine. They have good deals on yogurt. It’s clean and the staff is friendly enough for the neighborhood.

Honestly this store can go F**k themselves. I came in one night around 7 on a Saturday with a friend. We wanted to grab something small to eat, nothing major before we prep’d up and went out. KFC is next door but I was not interested so I thought of a fruit salad. We come in and the whole time in there we were followed by the bald, African security guard. Like really??? I had a jacket with no pockets and $ 200 in my pocket book, my friend had a thin sweater and we were carrying the stuff in our hands in open view. I went to grab an orange juice and he stood right beside me, he was not even trying to hide the fact he was following us so that’s when I contacted a manager and an hour later made her watch the video so she can see we did not act a bit suspicious nor tried to hide anything. I even showed her my $ 5000 bank statement and my $ 200 cash. She agreed and later on came out and apologized and said she would deal with him but that did not make me feel better. I did not see any other people or races being followed. Its crazy how a African Man can discriminate against a dark color sista’… SmH… will never step foot in here again.

They have an awesome buffet that I go to regularly. It is becoming more and more popular among the locals because they have some healthy options. I work at Lehman. In the past few years, I’ve had to order Japanese food from Palace of Japan or get salads from the Lehman cafeteria. While these two options are not that bad, I eventually got bored. The buffet is great because I control the portions and because they have lots of veggies to choose from. The menu changes which, keeps things interesting. I’m hoping that they add healthier meats, not that they don’t have a good selection. The tastiest is the spicy fried chicken. I tried to avoid it but it is just so good.
Aside from the buffet, they also make some pretty awesome sandwiches and have a pretty decent selection of produce. The place is always clean and well staffed. The service is decent. For the most part, the wait is not long. I do wish that they start introducing more organic and gluten free products. I would be very happy. I did see some attempt but they do not seem to be very committed or have little faith that it would work.
