Excellent authentic Italian bakery. Great cannoli’s and various cookies and pastries. Definitely going to be my «regular«bakery to hit when I’m visiting Arthur Ave. We arrived just before we had dinner, so looks like we lucked out, since we didn’t have to wait in line to order. The bakery is fairly narrow, so easy to see how this place could get jammed though.

BLOWNAWAY! I am extremely picky about eating canoli’s. they were AMAZING sooo balanced. The cappuccino was also sooo good, Italian Ices soooo good lol I can go on and on. I had given up on the pastries in Arthur ave, but this place is a must. Excellent bakery. Highly Recommended and the prices are manageable. Very happy and satisfied with this place. I WILL be going again this weekend.

After spending an afternoon with the family in the Bronx Zoo(where everything is over priced), we went in search of an Italian bakery to buy my son a birthday cake. I of course, had to indulge myself with a canoli. While I have yet to try anyone else’s on the block, there’s was delicious! So much so that all I left for a photo to post for y’all was crumbs and the bag… sorry. Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion; my canoli cost $ 2.50 and the cakes were $ 16. My son and fiancé went in to make the purchase. My fiancé said the service wasn’t very good because they were unable to clearly explain prices… until he started speaking to them in Spanish. He was satisfied with the cleanliness(as far as he could see), and the store was packed! 4 stars for an awesome canoli!

Their french cream filling is a delight, and their rainbow cookies are as good as I have ever tasted. With those exceptions, none of their other offerings are more than ordinary. Their chocolate chocolate cookies are dark colored but have barely a hint of chocolate, and their other cookies and pastries taste a little mass produced or soggy. The service is reluctant and not the least bit courteous, and we were the only customers in the shop! I can’t imagine how we would have been treated had there actually been any more customers awaiting service. I don’t think I’ll ever go back, not with so many other more wonderful bakeries on the immediate block.

My wife and I recently visited Morrone Pastry Shop & Café. The girl working there had an absolutely awful attitude. I imagine she is related to someone because there is no way she can keep that job based on skills and customer service. It was cold and my wife asked if they had decaf tea. We were told yes… and then we waited because usually the next logical step is her telling us which decaf tea they carry. Instead we had an intense guessing game while I tried to read the labels from 10 feet away. The pistachio biscotti was decent and the chocolate dipped cannoli was good as well, unfortunately given the nature of the customer service we wont be returning as their are many similar pastry shops quite close by that provide the same service with a smile.

Sadly this was a terrible experience. The girls at the counter had zero interest in the customers, except when one of their friends walked in and only then would you see their faces light up and come to life. I’ve been seeing this quite a lot in places lately. You are there to work, not hang out ignore customers until your friends arrive. As for the pastries, the Italian cheesecake was dry as a brick and terribly disappointing. The gelato was good. I wouldn’t bother going back.

Too legit, too legit to quit(eating pastries here) Adorable, clean, friendly bakery with SO many pastries here. The AC and iced coffee provided much needed relief from the heat on our trip here last week. These pastries are the real deal, authentic, and delicious. The lobster tails are GIANT, but light and airy with delicious cream. The rainbow cookies are perfect and very filling. Tiramisu was the best tiramisu I’ve seriously ever had, all the layers are perfectly balanced and well represented. The almond pastries were excellent as well. It was such an enjoyable experience to sit in this place, enjoying our pastries and coffee while catching up and listening to a group of men speak Italian to each other. I felt like I was in a different world, hard to find places like this anymore! Love it here! Delicious!

This is a must stop for us when we are in the Bronx, usually after a visit to the zoo/botanical gardens and a nice Italian meal on Arthur Ave. The pastries are all delicious. I wish I could buy all of it but not a wise idea waist wise. The small long shop has table but we just get it to go. The smell of delicious confection hits you when you enter. The long glass cabinet shows off the endless variety of cookies and pastries. The service is friendly and quick on a first come first serve.

Nice little bakery with a wide variety of pastries, tasty iced coffee, a few tables to sit at, and cold air conditioning. Chose this over the sauna that was Palombo Bakery and so glad we did! We had some very reasonably priced pastries and iced coffees. The girls working the counter were very nice and even brought over our orders to our table. On a hot evening it was a pleasure to sit there and relax in the cool AC. I would suggest this place over many of the other bakeries in the area, especially that other one that feels like a sweat box! If you love Rainbow cookies like I do just get them here. They’re delish!

Very crowded and took forever. After waiting online for 20 minute with no movement, we left. The staff were not pleasant and had no considerstion for the line of people waiting. They were chatting among themselves.

I was having a pretty sluggish morning, which was not improved by an hourlong car ride to Storm King. When we made a pit stop on Arthur Avenue, I knew I needed to have some sugar. My friends directed me to Morrone, their favorite pastry shop on Arthur Avenue, and I made off like a bandit. I bought three almond biscotti, an apricot thumbprint cookie, and some shortbread cookies with rainbow sprinkles. I perked right up. Sometimes, all you need is a little bit of sugar! Morrone fits the bill.

We tried italian Napoleon for $ 3.00 which was generous size, not too sweet, just right taste. We will try other item if we come back.

There are so many pastry shops on and around Arthur Ave. but Morrone bakes the best biscotti. The chocolate chip & pistachio is a genius combination and they are so reasonably priced at $ 13.00 /pound. There are all the original Italian pastries, large and mini, but the 9 or so different variety of biscotti is what gives this shop 5 stars.

Found this place hard to review… cookies including the rainbow were pretty dry… I make way better cookies… Cannollis had good flavor but the cream texture was too thick. however we thought the napoleons were excellent… we really liked those!
