Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant

I have never been in the place, but I ordered from them so many times that I feel safe to write a review. The delivery always arrive quickly. And the food is exactly what I expect from a Chinese fast food place. And when comparing it to other Chinese food places who deliver, they turned to be my first call when I feel like Chinese. I can’t say that they have the best Chinese food, since I used to order from a place in Manhattan that was little more expensive, but had amazing food, but I can say that when I feel like I need to east ASAP, I know this place will deliver good food.

I order from here all the time on grubhub. It is the only Chinese food that’s good that delivers to me. I love their eggs rolls.

We recently moved to Clason Point, from Pelham Pkwy, and Luck Star is, by far, the best chinese food in the area. Delivery time is average (30 mins-​1hr depending when you order). The food has always arrived hot and the delivery person is polite. I recommend the chicken dumplings, egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken, and General Tso’s chicken.

Just order all food sucked and tasted left over and old not fresh at all it’s like there trying to save food from the storm or something 30bucks down the drain couldn’t even eat half my food

The food is better than average for bronx chinese food places; be mindful that the «free soda» promotions don’t work if you use the online ordering system. I learned this the hard way, and they said «oh well».

I found this restaurant via grub hub and I had to say I was not disappointed that the food was very good. The delivery time was way shorter and grub hub had indicated and the eggroll was actually very good and I am fairly picky about eggrolls. I am looking forward to using them again

I love it. There food has a great taste. They are also very fast with delivery. Only thing is that when you order via grubhub, they do not offer any specials like if you spend certain amount of monies you get a free soda or something like that. Other than that, the food and service is great. Also they are very kind and attentative on the phone.

Everyone I’ve told about this place has switched over to order from here… prices are good and the food doesn’t get any better for a takeout place… note you must order the cheese wontons… can’t go wrong

Highly overrated the food here is terrible they use old oil to cook their food and the meat is under cooked.

The best Chinese food to date! Friendly service, prompt, AMAZING food. No matter where I go in life I hope this restaurant is still there!

Lots of hole-​in-​the-​wall Chinese restaurants in The Bronx. You might call ‘em takeout joints, the Britons say takeaway, I call ‘em restaurants. Maybe this one was special because I lived a 2 minute walk from it or maybe because it was the only Chinese restaurant within 14 blocks that passed the health exam with flying colors (and those 14 blocks housed a good 70 places, easy), but Lucky Star ranks as one of the coolest places I’ve ever eaten.
Got to know the people who worked there and, man, the show was just as good as the food. They sound rude on the phone, but they’re ok peoples in there. Ling was a smiley person but if you had the balls to take a knife to the misspelled awning, you were in trouble. I once saw this dude run 2 blocks in seconds and grab this kid like he was avenging a murder. It was at that moment when I thought «damn, no wonder their delivery is so fast!»
I’d get their chicken chunks pretty much everyday as they were tasty and cheap and made great appetizers for any occasion. The only problem was you had to call and check to see if they had snow peas that day. The answer was usually no, but that’s why you had 3 other places within 70 feet. Prompt, delicious, and a delight for the frugal. Get the fried dumplings and some french fries.
