Busted back glass on town and country van. Dropped it off early morning and picked it up around lunch. These guys took the time to clean all the shattered glass in the trunk space — I hadn’t the chance to take stuff out! What a great surprise — didn’t expect that. They were pleasant and it was a great experience for a not so pleasant situation. I would definitely recommend!

First off I’ve had work done by Godfrey, but YEARS AGO (headliner and landau/​vinyl roof) when they were located on Bronxdale Avenue. Haven’t had any reason to go to them until recently, when the window of my 300m came off the track because one of the clips/​brackets broke. I went by the shop a few days earlier and spoke to Mike («son») expaining my dilemma. He told me bring the car in, gave the shop hours and I told him I’ll be in later in the week. As promised I showed up 3 days later (NO APPOINTMENT) around 11 am drove up to the drive way noticed about 3 –5 cars in the shop. I was expecting to park my car, Mike said «drive the car in» They got on my car immediately, Mike came into the waiting area to explain what had to be done and Rick proceeded to fix the problem. After he was done he explained what he did and I was outta there in a little over an

I took my cracked windshield there, and they replaced it. They got the job done! Before I drove there, I called them and asked if they had the type of windshield I was looking for and they said YES. When I arrived, they made me wait until the correct windshield was delivered. Price was cheap doh. Overall, the service was excellent. Will go back there when another of my car windows crack! Be adviced that you might have to wait a bit longer until they get the correct windshield.

great place if you ever need your auto glass replaced. they actually specialize in interior upholstery but they do glass just fine. i called in advance, asked about a glass replacement and installation and they saved me about $ 100.
schedule my drop off time to get the glass replaced, they were pretty busy but the actual labor took about 2 to 3 hours. not so bad considering my front windshield had a crack completely from left to right.
i’d recommend this place to anyone.

Living in an outer borough allows me to enjoy the thrill of driving (and the sorrows of paying for insurance, gas, parking and maintenance). After experiencing a recent break in (audio head unit + HVAC system theft), I was distraught. First, it was going to cost me money to repair and second, I did not know jack squat about where to go. Because of visible exterior damage, I assumed I needed to seek a body shop. I went to one and someone quoted me at $ 400 just for the labor. Eek. I tried another.
I got a referral from Domenic of Frank & Son Autobody (
) and headed to Zerega Avenue. Because Unilocal is not strong outside of restaurants reviews, I decided to take a chance and try this referral.
Located on the corner of Gleason and Zerega, I parked in front and asked for a quote. Godfrey, a diminutive old man came out, and quickly determined what I needed (he called the dealership and took down estimates for the parts); he wrote the numbers on his hand (I thought it was funny). The total cost was a fraction of the other quotes. I put down a 25% deposit and returned the following weekend to get the work done. Mike (his son) took care of the work (replaced the run channel, shaped the window frame and attached the window sash) within an hour.
This family operated business has been running for about 20 years. It is a small shop but the staff is friendly and my experience was positive. I hope that I don’t experience something like this (some @$$hole breaking into my car) again, but if I need glass or upholstery repair for my ride, I’m coming back here.
