Pretty cool place with live music. Just missed happy hour but the band was jamming and the drinks we’re strong. Kind of an older crowd, which attributes to the strong drinks Lol.

Oh how i love this place. The décor is very nice, the food is great and the drinks. The food portions are generous and the drinks are very well made. It is a bit pricey and street parking is a bit difficult. I did see they have a valet parking lot if you don’t feel like driving around the block 10 times. Overall, great place would recommend

Not happy with my order. I asked forchicken rollotini, which ive had in the past from here. It had what i was sent. was clearly chicken marsala When i called back to say that my order was wrong Im asked to describe it. and told my order was correct conclusion: This resturant has the same dish under 2 diff names when a chicken is swimming in marsala sauce. its chicken marsala period. PS. i asked for their ROLLITINISAUCE whatever that is, to he put on the side. instead got a container of marsala sauce making my chicken soggy and not edible I was so annoyed with my order, including the garlic knots i didnt ask for, but didnt come with marinara sauce. The chicken was soggy, the pasta taste like plastic. garlic knots even if they were accidently sent. are not good without marinara sauce So for $ 20 plus tip. i got to eat the dry sesame bread

Cheap happy hour with expertly poured drinks! Love this place! They also have a $ 30 seafood buffet brunch on weekends that includes two brunch cocktails(only $ 2 a piece after that). This place always has good energy from the folks coming in and a really responsive staff.

I love the pizza here. they have a nice little bar and it’s not usually crowded. I love that they stay open so late because that’s usually when I like to eat since I work late hours.

Came here on Father’s day and I was so surprised that it was not crowded. We walked in and were immediately seated. Service was ok, honestly I don’t remember. Food was good, we had the calamari which was really good and fresh. I had the chicken penne alla vodka which was great as well.

Went on a Saturday for brunch. The restaurant set up is a bit strange. G-Bar is a part of the Giovanni’s which is on the corner but a separate restaurant. Not really sure but they are all connected inside. The brunch itself is a buffet with lots of options and a person there solely to make omelettes. Brunch is $ 28.95 per person and it includes 2 drinks free of charge. If you want to keep the party going, any brunch drinks(mimosa, bellini, champagne, bloody mary) is $ 2. Not bad at all. The food selection is good with a surprising amount of seafood. You can definitely find your happy place brunching here!

Good food and amazing drinks. There’s two levels to this restaurant. The food comes out promptly and it’s cooked to perfection. The 4 train is located down the street if your on mass transit.

Customer service … Sad. Just because we choose to change s drink.(Before we drank it, just a sip) the management comes over because the waiter was too timid. Management was straight rude. Wow. I’m done lost my appetite. It did not matter anyway we waited forever for our Luke warm food. Come again??? Nope never!!! The great thing about NYC is that there too many great places to go!!! Bye Felicia! Lol!

Food is good and it’s happy hour 3 to 6 M-F. Generally a working crowd with a hospital, college, and post office near by. Nice chill out spot.

We came here during the drink specials which were pretty much regular priced drinks(based on NJ prices; I’m from NJ). It was $ 5 for a beer(don’t remember how much the second one was), $ 11 frozen margarita(got one at the special price and the other at regular since the time expired for the specials). The menu had a lot of items that looked good so it was hard to choose. First I would like to point out that the prices are pretty high for Italian(as far as what you’re getting(many pasta dishes that are pretty simple to make). I ordered Fried Calamari and Mozzarella Sticks for the appetizer. The Calamari had no flavor and was pretty chewy(not what I’m used to). As far as the Mozarella sticks you’d have to be a pretty bad restaurant to mess that up so no complaints there. I asked the waiter for a good recommendation between 3 dishes and he pretty much was useless in that department. For our entrée I ordered the short stack ribs which came with rice(that’s it). The rice tasted like it had been fermenting in a metal pot for eons. The ribs weren’t too bad but weren’t cooked to fall off the bone although the sauce was flavorful. My lady ordered the stuff shells. Considering all you’re essential getting is pasta with ricotta @ $ 16 it wasn’t worth it especially when they bought out 4 medium sized shells. We didn’t get bread at our table like we saw at other tables and forgot to ask as our waiter was pretty much non-existent after taking our order. All in all the tab came out to $ 90($ 105 w/tip(shouldn’t even tipped the guy that much since the service was crap)). I’ve had better food at other places for the same price or slightly less(Morgan’s BBQ comes to mind). I will not come here again partly because of the service but more so because Italian food is so plain to me(not much to it and overpriced at many places for essentially pasta with some sauce on it). If you want to come here for the live show then do so and just have some drinks and maybe some appetizers. Cliffs: Pros: –Live band –Ambiance(lighting/décor) –Big place. Cons: –Service(may have just been our waiter to be fair) –Overpriced for pasta but it’s to be expected when going to overrated Italian spots, –Drink specials(if they want to call them that) aren’t really that great compared to other spots in the city or nearby.

Brunch isn’t bad. Unlimited brunch buffet style. Includes 3 mimosas(or bellinis and something else) $ 2 for each mimosa thereafter. Offers a variety for the price. Not sure, should be like 25 – 30 per person. Not a bad spot if you wanna eat a lot for cheap! Go there with a huge appetite to really enjoy this!

Not really a fan of this place at all. The bartender wasn’t unpleasant. But she wasn’t very attentive and not very friendly at all. The apple martini was among the worst I ever had and very weak, the Calamari is so/so. Entirely too pretentious for my tastes and reeks of effort, The calamari was bland and tasteless. Just like this place. 2 stars for the great selfies you can take in this place.

It was one of my favorite spots. I usually coordinate happy hour for the staff and this WAS our main to go spot. The staff is very rude! They look miserable to the point where you don’t feel welcome. They have so many changes for the worse. The drinks are weaker and more expensive, The brunch is no longer unlimited. This place is bad! I wish I couldn’t even give it a star!

This place is pretty chill. The food is good and their drinks are strong. The bartender can be a little ditzy at times and that’s what stopped me from giving it 5 stars but all in all I definitely recommend it. The mango madness martini and the Caribbean paradise frozen drinks are extremely strong(and for me this is a good thing). The chicken fingers are great, the bruschetta is my favorite appetizer there, the tortellini in a chicken broth soup is pretty decent and their fries are addictive! I will definitely be coming back here to try other things but maybe at a time when it’s not so busy. P.S: they also have a happy hour but it was too late to try that, once I go back I’ll give a review about that!

My company had held our Christmas Party at this location so was able to try out their food. Though the drinks here are awesome, the food I thought was ok. I had the steak which was a bit overcooked which made it dry. I like my steak Medium so that you can taste the tenderness of the meat. My husband had the Veal which he enjoyed, but has definitely had better. Overall it was a great location to hold a company party and we all had a blast. Though a bit small, the place provide good accommodation and a nice ambiance. Worth checking out if your looking to host an event.

Had an event here last night. If you are looking to do in house catering, I highly recommend g-bar. When you call be sure to ask for Benny, who is incredibly accommodating and helpful. He and his staff did everything to make the night a memorable one.

Why G-Bar wont get my fifth star(and why they are lucky they got my fourth): The place is beautiful. Lets be real. This establishment is like an oasis in a desert. As soon as you roll up, you are impressed with its appearance. The inside is even better looking: Restaurant, Lounge, and Bar area — all sharp! Next, the menu is quite extensive. Their liquor range is a little limited in the tequila department, but they do well overall in the rest. The menu is honestly a huge one to maintain. Moving on to service/waitstaff(here’s where things got tricky): I’ll start with the pros — attentive busboys(I’m not so finicky about how often they come around to offer water as other people are), waiter that know his menu really well and offered all options possible, attractive hostess who handled her job nicely, and everyone looking rather uniform in dress. On the con side — I came here to watch a friend perform some live music with her crew. I was dressed pretty sharp because I was expecting to party in Manhattan later. I was in the mood for dessert and a tea, because it was late. Guess what the waiter told me? You have to order food to sit here. «Huh?» You are ordering dessert, that does not count as food. «…but my food and tea together cost more than some of the food items on the menu.» This is a business this is how they do it here.(Mind you, the place was NOT full and there were plenty of tables left AND I was sitting in a two seater) «(again)… but my items together cost more than some food items here.» After some back and forth, he said, «Ill see what I can do(which should have been his first response, instead of arguing with me — had my friend not been performing, I’d have left.)» He goes to speak with the manager and they let it go and let me sit. DUH! FUCKINGDUH! I wasnt being a dick, nor was I trying to bust balls. I was trying to spend money. Funny enough, after that lil’ ol’ $ 13 bill, when my other guests arrived, we spent another $ 96AND they stayed behind to drink even more after we cleared up that second bill. Speaking of the bill… I ask the waiter to let me pay my items separate. The other two were on a date and I wanted to make sure homie paid his share. Waiter wouldnt do it. Said it’s «already on the bill» MFer I know POS systems and it’s easy to adjust(is what I thought, but of course I smiled and said NOPROBLEM.) So, we get the bill and I when a waitress comes over to take payment, I tell her we want $ 32 on my card and the rest will come out of the other dudes cash. It took them going back and forth with us THREETIMES for them to get it correct. HOWEVER, in their defense, the dude that was at my table DID try to underpay what his bill was. Exactly why I wanted to separate to begin with. I probably wouldnt have caught that unless the staff fucked up(PS: he still got the girl in the end, so moral of story is act really nice, but hardly speak and underpay to the embarrassment of your date and youll still get lucky.) Anyway, I would still recommend the place for people to eat at. Just understand that you might deal with a few frustrations before you get to the nitty gritty which is that the place is overall a very good establishment.
